Chapter 1903
In the phone call, Liam stated two conditions. No guns were allowed, and Ryan had to go by himself.
"Justin, Bella, Captain Ralph, I'm leaving this to all of you. I'll meet Liam." Ryan quickly spun around and rushed out the door without a second thought. "Ryan!" Justin cried out, his heart full of anguish, as he grabbed him. "This is a trap Liam set up. He could kill you. You can't go by yourself!" Ryan replied with a bitter smile, "He wants me dead."
Bella spoke firmly. "Ryan, we'll go with you. We can set up an ambush and wait for the right moment to rescue Carrie and Yasmin.”
Ryan shook his head. "Thank you, Bella. But I can't gamble with their lives. If my life can ensure Carrie and Yasmin's safety, it's worth it." Bella's eyes were filled with tears, and Justin's heart sank.
"Ryan," Ralph said, his eyes filled with determination. He stepped forward and opened his palm, revealing an extremely small tracking device. "Please wear this on your body and stay in contact with the police. I'll handle things from here."
Ryan's pale lips quivered as he took the device. "Thank you."
"Whether it's you, Carrie, or Yasmin, you must all come back safe and sound." Ralph took a deep breath and gave a warm, reassuring smile. "I'm worried about you. It's not just Bella and Justin waiting for you, but also me!"
Ryan was briefly taken aback, but then gave Ralph a warm smile and patted his shoulder reassuringly.
The early morning sky was devoid of stars, and the moon's dim, hazy glow only added to the loneliness and coldness.
The tires screeched as the sports car drifted to a stop in the middle of the construction site.
Ryan found himself standing in front of a partially constructed commercial complex, one of the many developments overseen by the Hoffman Group.
This particular project had initially been under Liam's management, but after he was kicked out of the Hoffman Group, the project was passed onto Ryan instead.
Ryan headed toward the door, each step firm and resolute. He was determined to bring Carrie back, no matter the cost. 'Carrie, a life without you is utterly meaningless.'
He pushed open the heavy door and walked in with a solemn expression.
The hall was empty.
Just then, there was a message from Liam.

Ryan found the last part of the message strange.
After thinking it over for a bit, he opted to use the stairs instead, believing it would be the safer choice.
He hurried up the stairs but had only made it to the second floor when he heard frenzied footsteps behind him.
Turning quickly, his eyes widened in shock as he barely avoided the threatening blades.
A group of thugs charged at him, their knives swinging wildly.
Ryan fought back fiercely, disarming one of them. He snatched over the blade and sliced through them, leaving a trail of fallen bodies.
However, Ryan sustained some injuries too. His black coat was shredded, so he tore off a strip of fabric to wrap around his arm, keeping a firm grip on the weapon.
Another wave of attackers came rushing in, ready to continue the attack.
