Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 315

Chapter 315

Artemis' face fell.

They've been seeing each other a bit too frequently as of late. This is way beyond what is appropriate

between strangers.

His sixth sense told him that Raiden was a threat.

Of course, it wasn't the man's status that alarmed him. After all, he was too high above to even care

about prestigious families in the world of politics.

The threat he sensed was targeted at Bailey.

Could he have had his eyes on my woman and is plotting to come between us?

“Where are they meeting up?”

Dwayne blinked. “Palm Top Cafe.”

Artemis shot up from his seat and went around his desk to exit his office. “I won't be returning to the

company today. Go through the remaining documents.”

Dwayne was speechless.

F*ck!

At the Xuereb residence, the administrative chief of the City Hall dropped by to explain the situation.

“Ms. Fletcher, we found out after some technical inspection that someone had hacked the City Hall's

database. It was Spook's handiwork, and the hacker was the one who forged the marriage registry.

Scarlett stood up from the couch. “D*mn that Spook! That hacker had repeatedly helped Veronique f*ck

around with me. I swear by my name that I'm going to have that hacker arrested and locked behind

bars!”

Next to her, Olivia also had a livid expression on her face.

She had waited long enough for her son to realize the truth and agree to get registered with Scarlett,

only for that sh*t to happen. It was impossible for her to keep her cool.

Moreover, it's that lowly woman from the Revelle family that's gotten involved with him! This is

unacceptable!

“Mr. Sanders, since the registered information is proven to be false, I suppose the marriage isn't

considered valid, right?”

“Well...” The person in charge seemed slightly perturbed.

Having lost all patience, Scarlett yelled, “Just spill whatever you have in mind! Quit stalling!”

“T-The thing is, Spook also gotten a hold of the City Hall's official seal and stamped it on the register, so

the documents have gained legal status. Unless we can capture Spook and have them confess their

crimes or have the wedded couple personally annul the registered documents at the City Hall, the

marriage will always be considered legal.”

Scarlett's pretty face twitched violently.

That meant she had to either seize Spook or order Veronique to return. Otherwise, she wouldn't be

able to register her marriage with Justin.

“D*mn it.” She gritted her teeth in resentment. “I'll start an investigation on Spook immediately. I swear

I'll find that hacker!”

Meanwhile, Artemis already missed Bailey when he arrived at Palm Top Cafe.

The manager informed him that the recent Oscars Best Actor, Elliot, had just taken her away with him.

Ken touched his nose sheepishly before backing away instinctively.

At that moment, Artemis was as terrifying as a raging bull.

“What are you waiting for? Start an investigation! I need to know where that boy brought Bailey to!”

Ken said nothing in response.

At that very moment, Elliot had brought Bailey to a restaurant.

They were seated at a window seat on the second floor.

Looking over the street corner, Bailey chuckled. “The city is both mesmerizing and yet filled with

decadence and debauchery. Innumerous people had lost their direction in the bustle of it all. I hope

you'll be able to stay true to yourself.”

After that, she toasted him. “Congratulations on winning the Best Actor award at the Oscars. 'Time Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Warp' is the pinnacle of my career. I hope you'll be able to render it into a youthful and motivating film

for the silver screen.”

“Thank you, Ma'am.”

Bailey raised her brow with a smile. “You don't need to address me so formally. It's awkward. If you

don't mind, you can address me as 'Ms. Bailey.' I have a younger brother who's about your age. He's

also very outstanding, and you constantly remind me of him.”

“Okay, Ms. Bailey.”

Elliot took a sip of his red wine. As he looked around, he let out a soft gasp.

“Ms. Bailey, isn't that Ms. Yeanisky?”

Bailey looked in the direction where he was pointing. Indeed, she saw Rainie's figure on the plaza

outside.

Accompanying her was a middle-aged man around fifty years of age. He seemed a little familiar, for

she had met him when she met up with Lionel some time ago. If memory served, the man was one of

the deputy CEOs of Fashionista.

“You carry on. I'll go talk to them for a bit.”

“Do you need me to go with you?”

“No need.”

Bailey stood to leave the private room. When she turned a corner, a conversation between two people

caught her attention.

She was very familiar with one of the voices, for it belonged to none other than Rose.

“After the banquet begins, find a chance to pour this packet of aphrodisiac into Rainie's wine glass,”

Rose said.

“Is that all?”

“Yeah. That should do. As long as you complete this task, I will have Fashionista hire you as my

assistant.”

“Sure. Don't worry, Ms. Rose. I will handle things most appropriately.”

“Okay. I will be waiting in the room next to yours. Send me a message after you succeed in drugging

her. I'll arrange what happens next. This time, I'll make sure the world knows that Rainie is a lustful

woman who would sleep with anyone! Serves her right for fighting with me over roles and the title of

Best Actress.”

Bailey lowered her gaze.

I suppose Rainie and I sure are fated to meet. I've come to a restaurant to enjoy a meal, only to run

into a situation where someone is setting a trap meant for her. Luckily I found out about it. Otherwise,

Sylvester's darling is going to be in trouble.

Elliot had already left when Artemis arrived at the restaurant, so Bailey was the only one sitting and

admiring the street view by the window.

“Where's that boy?”

Bailey rolled her eyes. I just had some coffee with Raiden and enjoyed a meal with my bo— Hold on,

with Elliot. Does he need to circle all of Hallsbay just to come after me?

“He had left. I had him leave after knowing you were on your way. After all, you're terrifying when you

lash out at people, and I don't want to scare such a good boy.”

Artemis huffed a gnarly laugh.

F*ck! I had been after her from four o'clock this evening to eight o'clock at night! I haven't gotten a

single bite of anything! This wretched woman—

A burst of rich aroma greeted him as Bailey removed the lid of the pot on the table smilingly. “I know

you're hungry, so I made some soup in the restaurant kitchen. Come have a taste.”

The sullen look on Artemis' face melted into a smile.

His gaze on her was incredibly tender.

After that, he walked up to her, reached for her chin, and leaned in to kiss her.

Bailey glared at him before punching him in the chest. “Aren't you hungry? Eat up. I'll get you front-row

seats for a show later on,” she demanded softly.

Artemis almost took her word for it and thought she would literally buy them tickets for a movie.

However, all of his fantasies dispersed after noticing the cunning glint in her eyes.

Okay, she's the spawn of the devil, and settling down would kill her.

As he drank the delicious soup, its rich flavor filled his mouth and gave him a feeling of warmth.

He turned to kiss her and fed her the soup he had in his mouth.

Bailey sighed inwardly.

Why can't he be obedient while eating? Why does he have to be so cheeky?

After quickly swallowing the soup he fed her, she chided, “Stop fooling around. I really have something

important to do later.”

Artemis actually behaved himself.

Upon finishing his soup, he arched his brows and asked, “Who's your target today?”

Bailey remained silent for a while.

F*ck! How dare he say that!

Artemis burst into laughter. “It's okay. You can target anybody you want in Hallsbay, including the head

of ministries. I'll deal with the consequences.”
