Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 302

Chapter 302

“Mr. Hollett, Mr. Hollett, Sylvester, Sylvester, Sylvester...” she kept mumbling.

The more she repeatedly called his name, the more ashen-faced she became.

She then bounced from the couch and shook her head. “No, I can't go and look for him. I don't want to

have anything to do with him anymore.”

In the afternoon, Cosmos Studios issued a press release online: The winners of the Oscars' Best Actor

and Best Actress awards will get a chance to play the male and female leads of the new novel by

famous author Morpheus.

The announcement instantly caused an uproar in the entertainment industry.

Morpheus was the original author of Horington's blockbuster films “The Alliance,” “Men VS Machines,”

and “The Rise of the Planet.”

Despite writing for years, the mysterious author had never made any public appearance.

Morpheus won hundreds of awards and was nominated for the Victoria Prize in Literature. Yet, they

had never attended any of the ceremonies.

Some people believed Morpheus was a female because her writing was more delicate and romantic,

and she could bring out the emotions of the characters in the story.

Some thought Morpheus was a male, as his writing was more assertive in describing the unpredictable

challenges at war. They opined that only men were capable of developing those plots.

Of course, none of these speculations mattered. What mattered the most was Morpheus had recently

released another masterpiece—“Time Warp.”

“Time Warp” was said to be the greatest masterpiece Morpheus had ever written. Not only did this

novel capture the hearts of a billion fans, but it also was internationally acclaimed. This masterpiece

also earned Morpheus a nomination for the Victoria Prize in Literature.

Anyone who had the honor of playing the leading roles in the film would no doubt achieve international

fame and become the world's most influential actor and actress for the next decade.

Meanwhile, Rose was lying on the bed in the VIP ward of a hospital in Hallsbay.

A confident glint flashed across her eyes when she read the news. I'll win the Oscars' Best Actress

Award and become the female lead for Morpheus' masterpiece “Time Warp.” No one can snatch it

away from me—Not even Fashionista's internationally famous Rainie Yeanisky.

A man in a suit opened the door and walked in.

Rose narrowed her eyes, looked at him, and asked, “Managed to put that dumb and arrogant woman

behind bars?”

The man shook his head hesitantly and responded in a trembling voice, “The person in charge of the

Hallsbay police department said the woman would be representing Chanaea in the International

Programming Competition. The cops couldn't do anything to her unless she has completed the

competition.”

“What?” Rose grimaced. “How can she roam freely after beating me to a pulp?”

The man gulped and looked troubled. “Ms. Rose, unlike the other countries, we don't have anyone

behind us. Besides, the government here is highly protective of Ms. Jefferson, so we can't do anything

to her. Why don't we settle the old scores with her after the film festival?”

When Rose was about to pick up a glass on the bedside table and toss it in his direction, Wendy

opened the door and entered the ward.

“Rose, you're an elegant woman. How can you act like an uncouth person? Put the glass down.”

Rose regained her composure after seeing Wendy from a distance.

Rose dared not throw tantrums in front of that woman because she still needed to depend on her.

“Wends, what are you doing here?”

Wendy walked over, took the glass from Rose's hand, and grinned. “I heard you're injured, so I came to

visit you. How are you feeling? Are you all right?”

Upon hearing that, Rose's fury surged. “That d*mn b*tch slapped me. Wends, you have to teach her a

lesson on my behalf.”

A corner of Wendy's lips quirked up. She would be more than willing to deal with anything or anyone

associated with Victoria.

Wendy knew Bailey was Victoria's best friend. Great! From now on, Ms. Jefferson will be my arch-

enemy too.

“Let's not act in haste. We'll teach her a lesson once the film festival is over, all right?”

Rose did not have the guts to say no. “Okay, sure. I'll listen to you, Wends. Let's deal with her after the

film festival. Wends, who do you think will win the Best Actress award?”

Wendy gently patted the back of Rose's hand and smiled. “The award will go to you for sure. Don't

worry. I read that the Best Actress award winner will get to play the female lead of Morpheus'

masterpiece.”

“You're the best, Wends,” Rose wrapped her hand around Wendy's arm and responded with a smile. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Wendy gradually lowered her head to hide the sarcasm in her eyes. Just when I thought she would

expect nothing in return. Anyway, it's time for me to put her to good use.

“Oh, Rose. Something is troubling me lately.”

“Oh?” Rose responded with a confused look. “Are you kidding, Wends? You're LG Corporation CEO's

wife. What else can trouble you?”

Wendy pressed her lips and sighed. “Mrs. Gezmond is no doubt a glamorous title, but someone as

successful as Lionel would tend to attract women, and these women, who might eventually become his

mistresses, would only get more and more aggressive.”

Rose was alert enough to read between the lines. She knitted her brows and asked, “You're saying Mr.

Gezmond is keeping a mistress?”

Wendy shook her head and responded with a wry smile. “He doesn't spend much time at home lately,

and I can always smell women's fragrance on his body when he returns. I suspect some women are

going after him.”

“I'm sure someone is seducing him. Wends, I'll help you investigate. Once we find out who the vixen is,

we'll get rid of her.”

Wendy hesitated. “But wouldn't it be too troublesome for you to go through all the hassle? Besides,

Lionel and I have to keep our marriage low profile. It would be disastrous if this matter is blown out of

proportion.”

“It's not a hassle at all. You've helped me a lot, and it's time for me to lend you a hand. I know what to

do, so don't worry. I'll make sure everyone points their fingers at that homewrecker.”

A baffling smirk tugged at Wendy's lips. The game is on, Victoria. And you'll lose miserably.

Meanwhile, at the garden in the Shurmer residence, two young women were having a small talk by a

stone table.

“Zoey, I heard some updates about you. It's all right. We're still socialites, and we still live a much better

life than those our age.”

Zoey froze for a moment and stopped smiling. Her eyes darkened when she thought of Bailey. Pull

yourself together, Zoey! Now is not the time to strike back!

Zoey swore she would make Bailey pay for causing her to be detained for half a month and kicked out

of the higher echelons of society.

“You're right, Shirley. I might have been kicked out of socialites' circle, but I'm still a member of the

Shurmer family.”

“That's right.” Shirley patted her shoulder and smiled. “Your brother told me to console you, but you

have a clear mind and know what to do. It seems you don't need me to comfort you at all.”

Zoey pouted, but before she could respond to Shirley's remark, a housekeeper ran over. “Ms. Zoey,

Ms. Juliana came to pester Mr. Zeke again.”
