Shattered Illusions: Love, Lies, and Redemption

Chapter 170

It’s not just Timothy and Cassius who didn’t have the guts to look, even Yolanda was scared stiff right on the spot.

Remington seemed to have a dark aura swirling around him. Lizetta just spun on her heel and took off.

But she didn’t get far before the guy caught up from behind, and Lizetta felt the world spin.

Suddenly, she was lifted off her feet and hoisted over Remington’s shoulder with her head down, feeling blood rushing to her head, she kicked and punched in a struggle.

“Remington, what the heck? Put me down!”

The guy was deaf to her pleas; instead, he gave her butt a solid smack, and just carried her straight into the

elevator.

“Liz!”

Yolanda snapped out of it and tried to follow, but Cassius blocked her, which pissed her off.

“Get out of the way, you damn dog!”

Cassius sneered, “Yolanda, you were under Remi’s wing just now, but they’re gone, so let’s settle some

scores.”

“I’ve got nothing to settle with you!”

Yolanda tried to storm off, but Cassius grabbed her shoulder, “We’ve got a lot to settle, from the drama set to today’s scene smashing.”

Leaning against the bar, Timothy casually poured himself a drink; seemingly unbothered by the chaos. around him, he just enjoyed the show while sipping his wine.

“Hey, beauty, what’s the story with you and our Cass? Spill the beans.”

He was quite intrigued to see Cassius all twisted up like a kitten grabbed by the scruff

“Yolanda, you dare tell!”

Cassius made his move, pulling Yolanda into his arms and covering her mouth

But the touch on his arm felt off, and Cassius looked down to realize he had landed on her chest.

Super soft

He also thought of what happened on set.

She was tough as nails, but soft all over.

“Ugh!”

Caught off guard, Yolanda elbowed him right in the chest. Cassius grunted in pain and let go.

Yolanda cussed him out, “Pervert! Where are you putting your hands? It was just an accident when I didn’t see you and sat on your face while playing on my phone. I already apologized for that little mishap. Are you really going to nitpick about it? Being so narrow–minded, are you even a man?”

Timothy choked on his drink after hearing Yolanda’s “sat on the face” comment, spitting out the wine he had Just sipped.

Cassius‘ face turned completely dark; he was the Mighty Cassius, after all.

Was his face something you could just sit on?

And it wasn’t just a quick sit; she had rubbed against him, almost bending his nose out of shape!

“Shut up!

Spreading this kind of rumor everywhere, are you even a woman!”

“What rumor? I’m innocent, don’t go spoiling my reputation with your dirty mind!”

“As if I’d be into you. Even if you were the last woman in Zion City, I wouldn’t give you a second look.”

“If you were the last man on Earth, I’d rather be with a dog than give you a glance!”

Cassius was so furious that he went for her, and Yolanda fought back just as hard.

Tables and chairs were crashed down, and things were shattered everywhere.

Timothy moved to a safe spot, laughing, “Cassius, it’s not such a big deal, count it as a fling and stop playing the victim.”

“What benefit did I get! Is she even a woman? She reeks of sweat, nearly suffocated me, almost made me puke my guts out!”

Thinking of how Cassius pushed her away and actually ran to a flower bed to throw up, leaving her utterly humiliated, Yolanda wished she could kick him to the moon.

“That’s just you being dramatic! You’ve got the looks of a man but you’re petty as a hen, nitpicking over nothing, blind and senseless, not a shred of grace. Peel off that macho facade, why even play the lead? You should be cast as a ghost in a horror story, and you’re darker than any female ghost there!”

“Yolanda!”
