Chapter 167
Lizetta was trying to pour water down Evelina’s throat, but Evelina was putting up a real fight, so not much was getting in.
Just as Lizetta was about to pinch her cheeks and force it down, a hand that came out of nowhere grabbed her wrist tight.
As Lizetta looked up along that arm, her eyes met the familiar handsome face of the man.
Her heart went cold. “Let go!”
Evelina, seeing Remington come over, shoved Yolanda aside and ducked behind him.
“Boo–hoo, Remi, please save me! I don’t know what the heck Lizetta’s trying to make me drink; it’s awful, and my stomach is killing me.”
Evelina’s fair–weather friends all started chirping in after seeing Remington stick up for her.
“OMG, don’t tell me Eve’s actually knocked up?”
“Is Lizetta trying to force–feed her an abortion pill or something? That’s way over the top and just plain evil.”
“Yeah, how can you just shove drugs down someone’s throat? That unborn kid didn’t do anything; it’s so cruel!”
Yolanda was livid. She grabbed a bottle off the table and hurled it.
Crash!
The bottle shattered, sending glass flying, and screams erupted all around.
“Who else wants to run their mouth! You know what actually happened here? Which one of your peepers, saw an abortion pill? What messed–up values you all have–I hope you get married and your husbands have dozens of love children out there, see how generous and kind–hearted you can be then!”
The women were huddled together, feeling scared out of their wits.
Cassius came storming over, furious, and fixed Yolanda with a glare. “You again! You looking for trouble or what?”
Yolanda wasn’t scared one bit. She curled her lip and taunted him.
“Well, if it isn’t Cassius. What’s the deal, getting all soft after hanging around in showbiz too long? A catfight and here you are, diving right in. Got a taste for it, huh? Why didn’t you say so earlier? I can chip in for your gender reassignment!” ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
“Yolanda!” Cassius clenched his fists, his face a mask of rage.
Worried that Yolanda might get the short end of the stick, Lizetta broke free from Remington and pulled Yolanda to her side, asking. “You two know each other?”
Yolanda chuckled, “Not really, it’s just that in the crew I…”
You dare finish that sentence, see what happens!” Cassius‘ face turned ashen with anger.
Yolanda emirked, “If you’re telling me to zip it, then you’d better shut it tool Or I might just spill the beans”
“I make you pay Caselus was grinding his teeth.

That’s when Remington ordered Timothy, “Clear the room.”
Timothy, seeing that this mess wasn’t going to sort itself out, called in some people to escort the bystanders out.
The room quieted down, and Remington looked at Lizetta.
“What’s going on here? Tell me what happened before you start throwing punches.”
Lizetta laughed sarcastically, “Today at the hotel, Evelina slipped some sleeping pills into my water, which knocked me out for the whole afternoon.”
Remington’s deep eyes locked onto hers. “Why would she do that?”
Lizetta pursed her lips; she didn’t want to tell Remington about her dance audition.
Seeing her still holding back, Remington’s eyes grew colder.
“Why Evelina did what she did; you should ask her about it!” Yolanda chimed in.
Evelina would never admit it; with her eyes brimming with tears, she said, “Why on earth would I drug you? What good does it do me to have you asleep for an afternoon?”
Lizetta, with her fists clenched, stared at Remington, “I was drugged after drinking from my thermos. The only people who know I drink from that are Evelina and you. If it wasn’t her, it was you!”
Rage flared in Remington’s icy gaze.
“Lizetta, you’re suspecting me now?”
Lizetta, feeling her heart aching, mocked him with a laugh.
“I’m just connecting the dots here, like how you suspected me of drugging you four years ago.”

Why was it only okay for him to suspect her of drugging him, and not the other way around?
“Awesome!”
