Chapter 551

“Well, I promise. I’ll be here, always. You’ll always find me.” Serenity’s voice was gentle and comforting, soothing his restless

heart.

Jackson lowered his head, his gaze locked on her eyes. “Really? You’re not lying?

“Yes, I promise,” Serenity said, Jackson loved her so much. She believed he would not do something that would hurt her. Jackson was not Wilson Birch. Her story with him would not be the same as Wilson and Clara’s NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

“Then tell me that you love me, that you would hate not seeing me,” Jackson rasped, his eyes filled with love and desire for her.

The look in Jackson’s eyes occasionally surprised Serenity. He looked at her like she was the only woman in the world. Almost as if she was his whole world. How much did he love her?

Serenity had been sceptical about his love at first. Now, she was sure.

Serenity put her hand on his cheek and said, “I love you.” Still, she wondered why he was so insecure about love. Was he afraid because of his childhood experience? If so, she wanted to soothe his fear. “I’d hate not seeing you ever again.”

A sigh escaped him as her words hit him. He lowered his head and kissed her lips. His lips felt a little cold, so different from her warmth. Sometimes, even the coldest man like him would yearn for warmth. Jackson wanted to carve everything about him into her soul. His breath, his warmth, all of him.

Jackson kissed Serenity until she was breathless and suddenly picked her up, taking her to bed. He carefully put her down and propped himself above her, looking down at her with endless love in his dark eyes.

At last, he gently guided her hand to his cheek and rubbed his cheek against her palm softly.

“I missed you, Serenity. Do you miss me?” Jackson murmured softly, the hint of restraint hard to ignore in his voice.

Serenity knew that if she said no, he would stop touching her. However, she wanted to set her feelings free. “I do,” she answered with absolute certainty, her eyes boring into his.

Jackson broke into a smile the next moment, filled with endless joy and the most intense love.

The next day, Serenity woke up to the morning light seeping into the room. It was so comfortable basking in the warm morning light, and she could not resist moving a little.

She opened her eyes to see Jackson’s handsome face right in front of hers. He was lying right beside her, half–turned on the bed, and looking at her with a hint of a smile in his dark and deep eyes.

“Hey.. Serenity responded to his look softly.

“Tired? Maybe you should sleep in,” Jackson suggested.

Serenity shook her head immediately. “I have work to do!”

“Oh, Serenity. Why are you so devoted to your job?” Jackson sighed helplessly. He found Serenity’s delivery job at the restaurant a tiring jobs that paid too little. He could have offered her more options, but she had refused them all.
