Chapter 295 Don’t Go Too Far

Nathael narrowed his eyes at Maggie. He was eyeing her dangerously.

Maggie felt a chill run down her spin

She was too afraid to turn around.

Luckily, Joyce and Mia arrived with food from a famous rant in Alosel

Since the restaurant offered top–tier service, the chef and waiter from the restaurant were at their doorstep within two hours after placing the order.

“Let’s dine together. The Harrises‘ plane is in Alosea,” Nathael said.

Both Leslie and Nathael had shares in this private hospital. So, a table was quickly prepared.

The chef and waiters set up the table.

“Maggie, come here, Nathael beckoned her.

Maggie helped him up carefully, as she was worried that he might be in pain. “Are you feeling alright?”

She looked into his eyes.

Maggie’s knees went weak and her voice was trembling. “I was just joking. I was heartbroken when you were in the operating room.”

She was afraid that he didn’t believe her. “I swear!”

Nathael pecked her lips and whispered, “I know.”

Maggie finally felt relieved, but then Nathael said, “It’s true that you’re heartbroken, and it’s also true that you want to find a new lover

Maggie was stunned. T… She was at a loss for words.

Nathael cupped her chin and fixed his gaze on her. “Why don’t you tell me what kind of man you are looking for?”

This was the second time he heard the same thing from her. He was curious about her type.

Maggie stuttered and looked at him innocently. “What? Who said I was looking for another man? Someone is trying to sabotage our lationship.”

Nathael chuckled.

“We’ll talk about this later,” Nathael said in a low voice

Maggie’s expression drooped.

“Do you want me to get a room for you guys?” Jimmy teased them.

He was beaming

Maggie blushed hard. She wished she could hide in a hole.

Nathael remained expressionless. “It’s you who are leaving. This is my ward.”

Jimmy chuckled. “Why would I leave if Ms. Sanders is going to follow me?”

Silence filled the ward when he said that.

Joyce, who was arranging the cutlery, paused and looked towards Jimmy. Her heart skipped a beat when. their eyes met.

She replied with a straight face. “It’s not funny to say that, as we are not that close.”

Jimmy’s smile faded slightly. “We’re not close?” He looked at her with amusement.

His words sounded ambiguous.

Meal time was quite pleasant, except for a little tension.

Nathael had difficulty moving, so he didn’t eat much. Maggie was worried about him. “You didn’t eat much.”

She knew that he hadn’t eaten well in the past two days, when she was in trouble. He needed to increase his nutrition intake as he was injured.

“It’s not convenient for me to eat.”

Maggie looked at the bandages on his left hand and the scratches on his right hand. After pondering momentarily, she whispered, “Do you want me to feed you?”

Maggie didn’t dare to look up after saying that. She was afraid that others might hear.

Nathael stared at her. She’s cute!

It seemed that they had gotten closer to each other.

Ericko was right. He wasn’t on the losing end.

Maggie felt awkward and embarrassed when Nathael didn’t answer her.

“Forget about it,” Maggie said.

“Okay,” Nathael said at the same time, with a smile.

Maggie couldn’t help but look at him. He agreed!

Then she couldn’t help but glance around. Leslie was paying attention to the food.

Jimmy sat next to Joyce. He barely ate and kept staring at her while making snide remarks.

Mia’s phone kept beeping. She was probably chatting with someone. “Ms. Gatlin seems to be busy with work?” Ericko asked.

Maggie was relieved that no one was paying attention to them.

“What do you want to eat?” Maggie looked suspicious.

“Anything is fine, Nathael didn’t have much of an appetite, but it was rare for Maggie to show concern.

Maggie fed him a few bites and asked. “Do you like it?”

She felt a little awkward.

“It’s delicious, Nathael said.

Maggie couldn’t help but smile. She finally could relax after being tensed for the past two days.

She was relieved that they were all still alive.

At least his fingers were still intact in time.

Maggie got teary.

She quickly lowered her head and scooped up another spoonful to feed Nathael.

Jimmy chuckled and looked at them. “Maggie is the only one who would fall for your trick of pretending to be hurt.”

“Are you jealous?”

Jimmy cursed under his breath. He couldn’t eat anymore. “I’m going to smoke.”

Ericko looked at them and couldn’t help but say, “Nathael, don’t go too far. I’m still here.”
