Chapter 874 Two Guests Uninvited
Chapter 874 Two Guests Uninvited
Those ruffians, with eyes wandering from each other, dared not to stand against Maximilian anymore
and despicably told everything about their employer to Maximilian.
It was not quite surprising for Maximilian since he had already known that these men were sent here by
the nephew of the curator, and for those ruffians, it seemed that they knew nothing except the nephew
of the curator had promised them a large amount of money for taking down Maximilian.
Maximilian laughed and asked, "You guys have no idea about what things your employer has done and
what is going to happen to him, haven't you?"
They all seemed confused hearing the question of Maximilian. Maximilian then explained, "He is a
criminal who has committed stealing, and all of his bank accounts have thus been frozen already. What
makes you guys believe he would realize his promise in this situation?"
Those ruffians were first stunned and dumbed hearing the explanation of Maximilian, while afterwards
their veined faces were all flushed with anger.
"How dare he fool us like that!" Shouted one of the ruffians.
"We should head back now and teach him a lesson for that!" Another of his fellows responded.
They then hesitated no more and rushed to the direction of the home of the curator's
nephew. Maximilian, staring after them and watching their backs fade away, burst into laughter and
yelled, "You guys'd better hurry since he would be soon caught and sent to jail!"
Jude was also amused by both the awkwardness of those ruffians and the words
of Maximilian. Maximilian checked his watch, finding that he could still spare some time to accompany
and help Jude.
"OK, let's move on to the next case, Maximilian. It is reported that two gangs in H city have recently
been fighting with each other openly, which is a potential risk for public security. We have to stop them
before anything unintended happens." Jude turned to Maximilian and said.
Noticing that the case she mentioned was related to the conflict between gangs, Maximilian reminded
himself of the name of Connor, and thought that maybe he could ask for his help on that.
"However," As Maximilian was considering the solution for this case, Jude suddenly turned into a
defiant tone and asked, "Are you sure that you're ready to come along? I suggest that you should keep
yourself away from this case since it is not something that ordinary people could ever deal with."
Maximilian was absolutely not going to perform like a coward. He laughed and looked at Jude, "Well, I All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
thought you had already figured out that I'm by no means one of those ordinary people."
Jude smiled and said, "I appreciate your courage, Mr. Maximilian, and hope you do not regret it later.
This time, a team would come along with us, and we should…"
"I personally think it is not something that can be solved merely via the number of men,
Miss. Jude." Maximilian intervened.
He was right. Though it was possible that those gangs would keep themselves restrained for a while if
being suppressed by professional forces, they would soon revive afterwards when everything was
settled.
Jude thought Maximilian's words were to a great extent right and asked, "Please tell me your opinion
on this case, Mr. Maximilian."
Maximilian smiled and answered, "Simple. Now, pay attention to my suggestion."
Jude looked at Maximilian seriously, wondering what kind of suggestion would be
given. Maximilian then laughed out and said, "Well, things are simple. We don't need any professional
armed forces coming along, and all we need will be only you and me."
"Are you serious? Listen, I understand that you are skilled and good at fighting. But they are two
groups of gangs with numerous men and guns, and there is no chance for us to solve this case without
any help of others!" Jude turned up her volume and asked.
"Trust me, Jude. Only two of us would be totally enough." Maximilian answered.
Jude shook her head helplessly, having no idea why Maximilian always put himself into danger. She
slightly closed her eyes and sighed, "Fine, let's see what you're gonna do about that."
After a while, they reached their destination and found that the two sides was confronting and the
situation was becoming increasingly strained. As the battle was on the verge, Jude whispered
to Maximilian, "The information I received is true."
Maximilian took a glance at the both sides, and judged that the situation would be out of control if they
really started to fight. Jude murmured to Maximilian, "I would bring my forces here if I had the chance
to see this scene earlier." She didn't know yet that Maximilian had already figured out a way to solve
the case easily.
As the two groups were confronting each other, the two leaders of the groups suddenly turned to the
same direction and fixed their eyes on the location where Maximilian and Jude were hiding.
"Come out. There is no need for you two hiding and waiting there." One of the leaders yelled.
Hearing that, Maximilian had no choice but to take Jude's hand, go out and show themselves.
"We are just passing by, and hope you guys don't mind." Maximilian said.
As they were about to walk by the two groups, one of the men among the people pointed at Jude and
yelled, "Wait! I know the woman right there! She is Jude, one of the government's officers!"
Suddenly, everyone around became hostile and glared at the Maximilian and Jude, thinking that they
were definitely sent here by government.
The leader of one side lifted the corner of his lips, smiled hostilely and asked the leader on the other
side, "You're the one who phoned them here, aren't you?"
The other one, with his forehead veined and face flushed with anger, answered, "Well, I thought that
you were the one who has break our rules."
