Chapter 873 Coming out in the Wash
Chapter 873 Coming out in the Wash
The curator had noticed that the atmosphere around him was becoming increasingly hostile to him. His
employees had noticed his weirdness making such a suspicious statement, staring at him with doubtful
expressions in eyes.
He again yelled to Maximilian, "I repeat. There is no way that my nephew would ever steal the painting!
He is just a little guard, and would never success in doing so without other's help!"
"Of course, he could never make it without the help of others. However, situation would be different if
there is someone else who has power in this museum inciting him to do so, and I believe the one who
had instigated your nephew to steal the painting was you, Mr. curator." Said Maximilian.
The new statement of Maximilian had again stunned and confused the people around him. Maximilian
looked around and then explained, "It is true that to say that a curator would ever steal things from his
own museum does not make any sense, while we have to notice that the painting was just borrowed by
your curator from another museum. I think that will explain all."
Now, it seemed clear to everyone that the truth was just as what Maximilian had said, since before the
curator was indeed seen indifferent and even a little delighted to find the painting lost.
Jude, staring at the dumbed and trembling curator with his pulled face, said seriously and angrily,
"What else do you want to say, theft?" Like Jude, the employees around were also glaring at their boss
— the man who had once earned their trust — feeling that they were betrayed by this greedy and
fraudulent man.
The evidence was irrefutable, and it was obvious that the curator would be punished for everything he
had done. Jude called her superior and reported everything, regardless of how hard the curator tried to
beg for mercy from her. And for the curator, finding that it was useless to beg for forgiveness from Jude,
he turned to Maximilian and glare at him with extreme rage. However, his anger seemed was totally
ignored by Maximilian.
Maximilian turned to Jude and asked, "Is there any other cases I could help you, Miss. Jude? I'm
always at your service."
"Sure, there are still a lot of cases waiting to be solved, and I could use your help, Mr. Maximilian."
Answered Jude in a good mood. Dealing with exhausting and frustrating cases would be an endless
overwhelming torture for Jude before. While, it seemed to her that to solve cases was not such a
suffering, provided that Maximilian was together with her.
It was the moment when the two was chatting that the curator seized the chance, took the a few
pictures of Maximilian and sent them to his nephew. He sweared to himself that he would made Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
Maximilian pay for that.
On the other side, the nephew of the curator was lying on the sofa and appreciating the painting he
brought from the museum, and everything was seemed so cozy to him until he received the message
of his uncle.
As he knew that his plan had been seen through already, his mind was possessed by panic, fear and
extreme rage. He gritted his teeth, glared at the pictures of Maximilian, called up his friends in the gang
and promised them a bulk of money if they could take down the man called Maximilian.
After a while, as Maximilian and Jude walked out of the museum, they saw a group of ruffians was
standing in front of the door and seen waiting for somebody. They swaggered towards Maximilian as
they had noticed that this man was exactly the one who was on the picture.
Seeing their fierce expressions in eyes, Maximilian could clearly tell that these men came here exactly
for him. Maximilian then blocked Jude behind his back and said, "Step back and wait for a while, Jude.
We have guests here."
As Jude was still in confusion and wondering what's going on, one ruffian took out a kitchen knife and
rushed to Maximilian. Maximilian quickly knocked down that man and took the knife from the man,
beginning to fight with those others with the same weapon.
After a few sound of the collision of blades, all those ruffians were lying on the ground and groaning for
pain with their knifes broken, while Maximilian was still standing safe and sound with his kitchen knife
still in perfect condition.
"Please, forgive us! We dare not to do that anymore!" Those man, with their bodies badly wounded,
kneeled on the ground and beg for mercy from Maximilian.
"Fine, but first, answer my question: who sent you guys here?" Maximilian lowered down his hands and
asked coldly.
