Chapter 2149
Dustin saw a masked man in black with a sword in both hands as he walked up the stairs slowly.
“Are you Dustin?” the man in black grunted.
“That’s me.” Dustin nodded.
“You had a pretty good plan to lure us out, but unfortunately, we saw right through it.”
The man in black sneered. “You’re all alone now without any help. Only death awaits you.”
“Likewise. You may not necessarily gain the upper hand in a one-on-one fight against me,” Dustin remarked flatly.
“Who said I’m going to fight you alone?
“The man in black chuckled before clapping twice.
As soon as the claps rang out, two figures suddenly leaped through the windows on either side. Two more masked assassins dressed in black had appeared.
The three of them stood in formation. They weren’t only dressed the same but were also similar in height and build, making it difficult to distinguish between them.
“Three against one. We have the advantage now.” The man in black in the middle smirked.
“Who exactly are you? Why are you killing elite disciples of various sects?” Dustin asked calmly.
He had initially thought that there was only one assassin. He didn’t expect them to be part of an organized group. It seemed like the situation was far graver than he had anticipated.
“Who we are is none of your concern. Besides, you’re a dead man walking. Why bother asking so many questions?Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
“The man in black sneered.
“It doesn’t matter if you won’t tell me now. You’ll confess soon enough.” Dustin got up slowly, his gaze turning cold.
“Kill him!” the man in black ordered without hesitation.
The two assassins on either side drew their swords simultaneously. With a light step, they transformed into two blurred shadows and charged at Dustin.
Their attacks were so fast that ordinary divine-level marital artists would struggle to follow their movements.
In the face of the attacks, Dustin kicked over a table and retreated toward the window before gracefully launching himself out onto the streets below.
Meanwhile, the table he had kicked spun through the air, hurtling towards the two assassins. Only the sound of splintering wood could be heard as the two assassins tore the wooden table into pieces with their sword aura.
“Get him!” The three assassins launched themselves in pursuit immediately upon Dustin’s escape. However, as soon as they landed outside, they halted abruptly.
They realized that instead of fleeing, Dustin appeared to be waiting, standing still about 30 feet in front of them.
“What? Realized you can’t escape, so you gave up struggling?” the man in black in the middle taunted.
“Escape?” Dustin shook his head with a smile. “Who said I was trying to escape? I was just worried about damaging things inside the tavern and having to pay for them later.”
“You’re dying soon, but you’re worried about trivialities?” The man in black thought Dustin was a fool.
“What can I say? I have a sense of responsibility.” Dustin shrugged.
“You imbecile! I’ll send you to your demise right now!” The man’s frustration grew irrational at Dustin’s indifference, prompting him to swiftly draw his sword and lunge at Dustin.
The two other assassins followed suit, launching their own attacks. For a moment, slashes rained around them, and the wind howled.
