“Cease. I do not require the intricate details,” Alpha King Larry swiftly cut him off.

Alpha Kilian found himself at a loss for words, subdued by his elder’s interjection.

“Now that Nelly has finally accepted you, you must exert a twofold effort to wed her. Given that you two were remiss in organizing a proper union the last time you were married, you must arrange a grand celebration this time,” Alpha King Larry declared, mentioning the prospect of a wedding.

“And what of it? Have you grown weary of hearing it?” Alpha King Larry retorted.

“No, I simply wish to assure you that I, more than anyone else, understand the consequences. Hence, your concerns will not come to fruition,” Alpha Kilian assured him.

“It had better be so!” Alpha King Larry asserted.

“If there is naught else, I shall make my exit now.” Alpha Kilian ventured, eager to proceed with his plans. “Wait!” Alpha King Larry halted him once more.

As Alpha Kilian turned back to face him, Alpha King Larry pondered for a moment before inquiring, “I caught wind of tidings today. Were you the architect of those events?”

Alpha Kilian shook his head. “It was Nelly.”

Alpha King Larry was momentarily taken aback before bursting into laughter. “I would expect no less from a member of the Morris lineage. With her audacity, I can rest assured that the future of the Morris family is secure.”

His words prompted a smile from Alpha Kilian.

In that moment, Alpha King Larry studied Alpha Kilian. “Nelly acted so that you would not bear the burden of a difficult choice. However, we must be considerate of her feelings and not let her noble act go unnoticed.”

“I am aware that you have known Lara for quite some time. If you find yourself unable to take action-”

“Grandpa!” Alpha Kilian interjected, his gaze darkening. “Grandpa, I will handle it myself.”

Observing the conviction in Alpha Kilian’s eyes, Alpha King Larry nodded. “Very well.” “If there is naught else, I shall make my exit now.”

With that, Alpha Kilian rose from his seat and departed.

By the time afternoon arrived, Fabian entered just as Alpha Kilian concluded a meeting. “Alpha Morris, I have uncovered something!”

“Furthermore, it seems they both denied everything and feigned ignorance when the authorities attempted to extract a statement from them,” Fabian continued.

A cold glint sparkled in Alpha Kilian’s eyes as a smirk played on his lips. “Of course they would feign ignorance. So long as they mention Nelly or confess to their crimes, there will be no escape.”

Nodding in comprehension, Fabian fixed his gaze on Alpha Kilian. “In that case, what are your plans?”

A sinister gleam flickered in Alpha Kilian’s eyes. “It has been too long since I last saw my old friend. It is high time I paid her a visit!”
