The children departed from Nelly’s chamber and gathered in Tony’s room, forming a secretive alliance. Donna let out a sigh of relief, “That was quite frightening. I feared that Nelly would inquire about the day of the incident! If she had, I wouldn’t have had the faintest idea of what to say.”
“I had the same thought. I prepared an excuse, but it turned out that I didn’t need it,” Ben admitted with a shrug.
Tony gazed at them. “Nelly didn’t ask because she already knows everything. She doesn’t want to distress us.”
Ben agreed with a nod.
Donna suddenly had an idea and raised her head. “By the way, Tony, how did your meeting with Thalia go?”
Ben looked at Tony earnestly. “Have you been absent these past few days because you were with Thalia?”
Tony nodded curtly. “Yes, that’s correct.”
Ben urged, “So you were together when Daddy faced trouble?”
Tony nodded once again.
Ben grew curious. “What happened? Tell us now!”
Donna also stared intently at Tony. The days had been dull and they were eager for something exciting.
And so, Tony proceeded to recount the events of his past few days in great detail.
Once he finished, Donna exclaimed, “Oh, how dangerous and thrilling! That person is truly wicked! When I grow up, I will give him a taste of his own medicine!”
“I don’t believe he will survive until then,” Tony remarked calmly.
He was right, yet Donna remained furious.
Ben asked, “Were you worried when you saw Mommy getting hurt?”
Tony said nothing.
I can empathize with Tony’s emotions. If I were in his shoes, I too would have felt extreme anxiety. Tony is carrying the weight of responsibility on our behalf!
Donna looked at Tony gratefully. “Tony, thank you.”
Tony flashed a smile and quickly changed the subject, as he wasn’t one to dwell on sentimental matters. “By the way, I haven’t told you something yet.”
“What is it?”
“Thalia doesn’t know about the two of you,” Tony said.
Ben and Donna exchanged a glance.
“Whether you want to reveal your existence to her is up to you,” Tony added.
Donna giggled. “How is Thalia?”
“You’ll find out when you meet her later,” Tony said, struggling to put Thalia’s personality into words.
“Where is she right now?”
Tony pointed downwards.
Donna furrowed her brows. “What do you mean?”
“She’s downstairs at the moment?” Ben asked.
Tony nodded.
“Oh my god!” Donna gasped. “Aren’t you afraid that Nelly might discover her true identity?”
Tony replied calmly, “I don’t believe we can keep this a secret for much longer. Besides, I think Nelly has already uncovered the truth.” His intuition guided him to this conclusion.
Donna and Ben were left speechless.
“I’ll try confessing to Nelly later,” Tony stated.
The other two pondered over it briefly before nodding in agreement.
“Oh, speaking of Alpha Kilian…” Tony trailed off, turning to look at Donna. “Don’t call him ‘Daddy’ for the time being.”
“Why?” Donna questioned, disappointed that Nelly had finally relented. She had been looking forward to being spoiled by her father.
“He won’t appreciate it if we forgive him too easily,” Tony explained.
“But-”
“Nelly said she wouldn’t stop us, but if we accept him too easily, she’ll be disappointed.”
“Nelly won’t be!”
“Donna, listen to Tony,” Ben chimed in. “I don’t think it’s fair to accept him too easily.”
“Ben…”
“Besides, we might be the reason Alpha Kilian is persistently pursuing Nelly. Don’t you want them to end up together?”
Donna’s heart was struck by his words.
“Will they really do that?”
“Didn’t you hear what Tony said? Daddy got injured because of Nelly. Do you think he would risk his life if he didn’t care about her?” Ben retorted.
Donna nodded eagerly. “Oh, I understand now. I’ll… hold back for now.”
Tony and Ben exchanged a glance. They had finally managed to dissuade her.
It was expected for a daughter to be close to her mother, but in their case, it was the complete opposite.
The next day, Alpha Wade departed with the children to escort them to school.
After freshening up, Nelly donned a black coat and ventured out.
She hailed a taxi and headed to the most extravagant hotel in the Moonwalk pack-Blink-Blink Hotel.NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
According to the information on her phone, she arrived at a deluxe suite on the twenty-sixth floor.
She pressed the doorbell, and within moments, the door swung open.
A man in his thirties stood in the doorway. He stood around one hundred and eighty centimeters tall and possessed an androgynous appearance rarely seen in others. His long black hair obscured half of his face. With his crimson lips and fair complexion, he exuded both allure and charm.
Even those of the fairer sex would be envious of his striking good looks.
When he spotted Nelly outside the door, he outstretched his arms and lunged toward her. “Nelly? It’s been ages since we last met! Oh, how I’ve missed you…”
But before he could make contact, Nelly blocked his advance with her arm.
“Spencer, enough,” Nelly declared.
Spencer Teal’s face fell. “Why are you still as dull as ever? No man would ever fall in love with you!” Defeated, he retracted his arms and turned to enter his room.
Nelly followed him inside.
The room was saturated with the subtle scent of liquor. Expensive bottles were lined up on the table. Spencer went over and poured himself a glass before glancing back at Nelly. “Would you like some?”
“No, thank you,” Nelly declined his offer.
Spencer, anticipating her response, calmly downed his drink in one gulp.
However, he didn’t forget to observe Nelly. “You’re still as dull as ever, but you’ve grown more beautiful. I told you that you would look stunning if you put in the effort to dress up.”
Ignoring his comment, Nelly proceeded to sit on the couch and asked, “When did you arrive?”
“I rushed over after receiving your text, but you only showed up two days later,” Spencer replied, refilling his glass before joining her on the couch. He had barely taken a seat when his brows furrowed. “Are you injured?”
Nelly remained silent.
“Don’t try to deceive me. I can identify the medication you used. Test me,” Spencer warned.
A smile tugged at Nelly’s lips. “No wonder you’re known as a miracle doctor in the underground circles.”
“What happened?”
“I’m fine. Just a few scratches, that’s all,” Nelly reassured him.
