Chapter 1206 Like A Spoiled Child
“Mr. Graham, I'm going over to Old Mr. Graham's now.”
With that, Edwin turned around and left, as he did not want to pry.
Benjamin glanced at the fruits at the door and ordered the bodyguard next to him, “Get rid of that.”
Then, he went inside the ward and closed the door.
The bodyguards exchanged glances before giving the fruits to the nurses. NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.
Seeing that Arissa was still asleep, Benjamin put down the food before he strode to the balcony to call Ethen. Meanwhile, Ethen was having breakfast with the kids at Yaleview. When he received Benjamin's call, he walked to the side to answer it.
“Yes, Mr. Graham,” Ethen greeted with respect.
“Make trouble for York Group!” Benjamin gave his order to Ethen, sounding extremely firm.
The briefly startled Ethen finally returned to his senses and realized Benjamin was referring to Regan. Hence, he hurriedly responded, “Understood, Mr. Graham!”
With that, Benjamin hung up and went inside the ward after lingering on the balcony. Then, he went to the bathroom to wash up.
By the time Arissa woke up, Benjamin had already worked for about half an hour.
He was sitting on the couch with his legs crossed, focusing on the laptop and occasionally typing on the keyboard.
The morning light shone on him, the scene giving off a tranquil vibe. How she wished this moment would last forever.
She stared at Benjamin for a while before he turned around and found her awake.
Seeing her, Benjamin put down his laptop and made his way over to her. “How long have you been awake?”
He was so caught up with work to the point of neglecting her.
“Just for a while. I didn't call out to you since you looked busy,” Arissa replied and smiled.
Benjamin bent over and raised the head of the bed with the remote control and then helped her sit up. Subsequently, he put a coat over her and carried her to the bathroom to wash up.
With her arms around his neck, Arissa felt like a spoiled child the way Benjamin was caring for her.
“What time did you wake up?” She felt like he had been awake for some time.
“Slightly past seven.” Benjamin swept his gaze over her. Then, he carried her into the bathroom and sat her on a chair.
Benjamin picked up her toothbrush and squeezed some toothpaste before filling a cup of water.
“Thank you, Darling!” Arissa took the toothbrush and began to brush her teeth. Seeing Benjamin standing beside her quietly, she gazed at him.
She then signaled him to leave with her eyes. Nevertheless, Benjamin took her comb and started brushing her hair. “Brush your teeth. I'll comb your hair.”
Arissa finally spoke after she finished brushing her teeth. “Go out. I need to use the bathroom.”
Benjamin gazed down at her and said as he tied her hair, “Tell me when you're done.”
Arissa hummed in agreement and used the toilet when he finally left.
Benjamin went to place Arissa's breakfast on the bedside table.
As Arissa did not call him after a while, Benjamin walked to the door and knocked on it.
“Are you done, Honey?”
“I need more time!” Arissa added when she realized Benjamin was waiting for her at the door, “I'll tell you when I'm done.”
She was taking a dump.
“Okay.” Benjamin felt relieved after hearing her response and went back to the couch.
Ten minutes later, Arissa asked for his help.
“Benjamin, I'm done!”
Hearing that, Benjamin promptly walked over to the bathroom. He opened the door and looked at her. “What took you so long?”
“I was answering nature's call!” Arissa chuckled awkwardly.
Benjamin walked in, bent over to pick her up, and turned around to leave the bathroom.
“Let's have breakfast now. Edwin made plenty of food for you.”
“He's so early. What time did he come?”
Arissa was surprised as she didn't know someone had come. I'm pretty sure no one had come since I woke up.
She also didn't hear anyone coming into the ward while she was in the bathroom earlier.
“Edwin was here when you were asleep. I got awakened by him,” Benjamin replied with a grin.
He carried her over to the bed and put her down.
Pulling the quilt over her stomach, he then sat on the edge of the bed and served her a bowl of mushroom soup.
“It smells so good.”
Arissa almost drooled when she smelled the food.
To her, Edwin's cooking was comparable to a professional chef's cooking.
