Chapter 1115
Chapter 1115
“You're so despicable!” Zachary bellowed, his voice laced with disdain. Daddy is so awful! How could he use such a tactic? Mommy is forced to marry him now!
Benjamin touched his nose awkwardly. “Why do you say that I'm despicable? Your mommy and I are legally married as husband and wife!”
Nevertheless, the young boy expressed his discontent by snorting and saying, “We haven't accepted you as our father yet!”
“Exactly! And you made a promise to us!” Gavin chimed in, also disapproving of Benjamin's actions.
Benjamin's lips twitched at the corners when he heard their words. “When did I make such a promise?”
Because Darius was present, Benjamin restrained himself from being too straightforward.
Meanwhile, Darius was by their side, laughing to himself.
Observing the two kids confronting Benjamin, Arissa had a hunch that their anger wasn't directed toward her pregnancy but rather at Benjamin.
“Gavin, Zachary, I didn't know that I'm pregnant either. Please forgive me!”
“Mommy, this has nothing to do with you. It's Daddy's fault! We haven't accepted him, yet he tried to use tricks to force our recognition!” Gavin glared angrily at Benjamin.
Arissa couldn't help but chuckle upon hearing that. How can this have nothing to do with me? In anyCòntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
case, since the children want to confront Benjamin, I should let them do so.
“Gavin, how dare you speak of me in that manner? Have you forgotten the punishments I've given you before?” Benjamin felt the need to assert his authority as their father. “Are you all implying that you don't like the baby in Mommy's belly?”
“We never said that we dislike the baby. It's just your actions that we hate!” Zachary declared with a raised chin, asserting his authority and determination. “Moreover, you made a promise to Mommy. Have you kept it?”
At this point, Benjamin was speechless. “How can you accuse me of mistreating your mommy just because she is pregnant?”
“Mommy's body is fragile, and you are mistreating her by getting her pregnant. Mommy even vomited just now!” Zachary said, showing his protective nature toward his mother.
Benjamin's guilt was palpable as he faced his son's probing gaze, realizing he should have taken better protective measures.
The baby's arrival was actually a surprise to him.
“The doctor said it's a normal reaction. I'll take good care of your mommy and make sure she doesn't suffer too much, okay?” Benjamin reassured the two kids with a gentle voice.
These two children were proving to be quite challenging to handle, particularly Zachary, who acted like a little boss.
So long he didn't successfully gain Zachary's approval, Benjamin would have a difficult time winning over the rest of the children.
Jasper joined the crusade against Benjamin and said, “Don't think we don't know what you're trying to accomplish by getting Mommy pregnant now, Mr. Graham.”
“If you can't take care of Mommy properly, we won't accept you as our daddy!” Oliver added with a mischievous tone.
“Hmph! You're so mean, Mr. Graham. Mommy has been vomiting everything she eats. She's obviously not feeling well!” Jesse also glared at Benjamin furiously.
Meanwhile, Tim conveyed his displeasure toward his father through his gaze.
Benjamin gave Arissa a petulant glare when he heard her laughter. How could she find this enjoyable?
“We can't change the fact that your mommy is pregnant. So, now tell me, what should I do?”
The children exchanged glances, trying to communicate through their eyes.
“From today onward, you are not allowed to sleep with Mommy!” said Gavin with a serious face.
“You mustn't leave Mommy's side and take care of her when we are not around during the day!” Zachary added another condition assertively.
Benjamin's expression turned gloomy as his frown deepened. He refused to agree to Gavin's condition.
“I cannot agree to Gavin's condition. If I am not with her at night and something happens to her, you all won't be able to handle it. However, I will fulfill Zachary's request,” Benjamin replied seriously.
Arissa felt a bit awkward after hearing the children's demands. She quickly spoke up. “My dear children, there's no need for you to worry so much about me. I'm just pregnant, not sick. Your daddy also needs to work, so don't make things difficult for him. You should all go downstairs and have your meal now.”
She then turned to Benjamin and said, “Bring Dad and the kids downstairs to eat. You don't have to stay here with me.”
“Dad, please take the kids downstairs to eat. I'll stay here with her,” Benjamin said to Darius, turning his head to face the latter. He didn't want Darius to stay and watch the drama unfold.
“Okay!” Darius smiled. After reminding Arissa to have a good rest, he brought his grandchildren downstairs to have a meal.
