Chapter 359
Chapter 359
"Then I return home today. My mom is already of old age. If there is anything wrong with her..."
Coralie did not manage to finish her sentence.
In all honesty, if Lillian really went too far, Coralie wouldn't know what to do. After all, she was still
Skylar's mother.
"Coralie, you have really grown a backbone now. You think you're so great because you bore a
grandson for the Holland family, don't you? I must tell my son what kind of person you truly are and let
him see it for himself!"
After Lillian finished, she hung up the phone rudely.
During the weekend, Coralie had called up several kindergartens she had seen before, hoping to send
Hendric over, but she had not found a suitable one. Only the private kindergarten was willing to accept
him. In desperation, Coralie could only send Hendric back to the kindergarten before.
However, on Monday morning, Coralie had already made up her mind to send Hendric to kindergarten.
As soon as she walked to the door, she saw that Lillian had arrived with a group of people and said that
she would be sending Hendric to the Royal PreSchool.
"I'm not going!" Hendric protested.
Hendric held onto Coralie's hand tightly with his little hand.
Lillian squatted down and looked at Hendric, who was hiding behind Coralie. She smiled and said,
"Hendric, you're the grandson of the Holland family. You're going to inherit the Holland family's
business in the future. You have to receive the best education. You can't be like any normal child. Are
you aware of that?"
"Aunt Ford, Hendric is still young. I'm not sure what the future holds for him."
What Coralie truly meant was that it was hard to say whether or not Hendric would inherit the Holland
family's wealth.
However, Lillian misunderstood Coralie's words. She jumped up and accused, "What's wrong? What
kind of tricks do you have up your sleeves this time? I am telling you that Hendric is a child of the
Holland family. My stance depends on your obedience towards me so if you follow my rules I'll consider
accepting you if you marry into our family."
Lillian had thought it through over the past two days. She had to come up with any ideas that would
make Coralie stay back. If she really took Hendric away, no one would be able to do anything about it.
And there was one thing that both Lillian and Coralie definitely shared common grounds with and that
was that they both had to wait until Skylar came back.
"Why don't we go to the kindergarten today, Mom?" Hendric seemed to know that Coralie was in a
dilemma as he listened to Lillian's words. Hence, he suggested going there to avoid putting Coralie in a
more compromising situation.
"Hendric, didn't you say that you didn't want to go?"
Hearing this, Coralie quickly squatted down and asked Hendric.
By the side, Lillian fanned the flames. "See that? Even a child is more sensible than you."
Hendric held Coralie's neck and said, "I don't like the children in the previous kindergarten because
they used to say rude things about you. I don't want to play with them," Hendric explained.
It was then that Coralie realized that this was why Hendric was in such a state.
"Well, give me another two weeks and I will definitely find a suitable kindergarten for you, okay?"
Coralie said softly.
"Okay."
Hendric nodded.
Lillian became unhappy when she heard those words. "Why are you still looking for another
kindergarten? There is no other kindergarten better than the Royal Pre-School in A City. All the
teachers there graduated from prestigious universities," she said.
"Let's go."
Coralie didn't want to argue with Lillian anymore, so she led Hendric to the car that Lillian came in.
Over the next two weeks, Coralie had been looking high and low for a suitable kindergarten. Now, there
were many children, and most of the kindergarten slots were full. Even if there were slots, they were all
small kindergartens. Coralie was worried about it.
She continued looking around and finally found a better private kindergarten. Coralie had already made
an agreement with the kindergarten's director that she would bring Hendric to the kindergarten two
weeks later.
Two weeks later, Coralie went to pick up Hendric with an anxious heart.
This time, she was punctual. When Coralie arrived, she found that Lillian was not late this time, and
had also arrived at the kindergarten on time.
When Lillian saw Coralie, she immediately said, "Today I must take Hendric away!"
"No, I am the one taking Hendric away today."
Coralie decisively refused.
It was difficult for her to find a suitable kindergarten. She didn't need to let Hendric go to boarding
school. She absolutely couldn't let Lillian take him away this time.
"Coralie, Hendric is the grandson of the Holland family. Don't even think about it," Lillian threatened.
Lillian was about to argue with Coralie. Coralie's eyes had been staring at the door of the kindergarten.
When the door opened, she was not bothered to listen to what Lillian was saying. She ran to the
teacher, took out her card, indicating that she was there to pick up Hendric.
When Lillian saw Coralie running off, she was so angry and chased after her.
But after all, age had already caught up with Lillian and her weight wasn't exactly optimal. Besides, she
usually didn't exercise very much. She spent most of her time playing tabletop games which didn't
require her to move around much. As she ran, she accidentally tripped and fell.
So many parents were celebrities in A City, and the upper-class circle was so small. Many of the
people knew who Lillian was.
Everyone had witnessed her fall, and they were all holding back their laughter. Some even came to
offer her up but not with genuine intentions.
"Madam Ford, are you alright?"
"Madam Ford, why are you running if you are already so old?"
"Did you break your back or scrape your knee? Do you need an ambulance?"
Hearing everyone's "kind" concern, Lillian was so angry that her eyes were bulging. She looked down
and saw that she had scraped her leg and there were two cuts on her hands. More importantly, she
was Skylar's mother. How could she have made such a fool of herself in front of so many people?
Coralie witnessed Lillian's fall, but saw that Lillian was able to stand up, so she knew that the fall wasn't
that bad. She wanted to leave with Hendric in her arms. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
As soon as she held Hendric in her arms, Lillian rushed over angrily and commanded, "Coralie, if you
don't give Hendric to me today, don't even think about leaving."
"Hendric is my child."
Coralie noticed that everyone was looking at her direction, so she didn't want to quarrel with Lillian
loudly.
"Your child? He's also my grandson. You can still give birth to another child in the future, but he's the
only grandson I have now."
Lillian said angrily to Carolie. She didn't mind being humiliated any further as she had already been in
an embarrassing situation.
"I want to follow Mom."
Hendric held Coralie's neck, voicing his wish.
Lillian quickly tried to convince him. "Hendric, I said that you'll be the heir of the Holland family in the
future. You'll have to learn a lot of things. If you follow your mother, you'll only end up as an ordinary
person."
"I want to be an ordinary person."
Hendric did not know what an ordinary person was either. He felt that as long as he could follow his
mother, it would be fine.
"No." Hearing Hendric's words, Lillian began to blame Coralie. "Coralie, look at what you have taught
the child? It's your fault that he is so carefree now! How can you keep the child with you?"
"I don't have any requirements for him."
Coralie said and tried to bypass Lillian, but Lillian kept blocking her way.
As the two were still bickering with each other, the servant who came with the car rushed over and
said, "Madam Ford, Miss Chariott, there was a phone call from home just now and apparently Young
Master has returned."
"Which Young Master?"
The two of them said at the same time.
Although Coralie was the one who asked, she already had an answer in her heart.
The maid looked at the two of them and wondered how they asked the same question at the same
time. Without skipping a beat, she said, "There's only one young master in our house, right?"
