Chapter 266
Chapter 266 Should | Kick You Out?
Hope went along with it and said with a smile, “Birds of a feather flock together, Maia. | got my bad temper from watching you and Victoria. | used to be very patient.”
Maia was amused by the way she said it and teased her, “I know your temperament very well, but | have to say | didn’t know how thick—-skinned you are until now.”
“You're teasing me again, Maia!” Hope didn’t know what else to say. Maia chuckled at that.
“Let's check this out!” Hope took her into the nameless boutique and pushed open the glass door. The staff saw Hope and greeted her at once. “You're here, Ms. Hope. I'll call Victoria over! She’s working upstairs!”
“That won't be necessary, Ava. Let her focus on her work. She'll skip meals when she’s immersed in her work. If you disrupt her, she might not be so happy about it.”
Ava nodded. “I guess you’re right, but don’t you think she'll be happy to see you?”
“Of course! However, | want her to focus on her work.”
Wasn't that what friends are supposed to do?
Ava nodded again. “You can look at the gowns, Ms. Hope. Victoria made a few more designs.”
With that, she pressed a button on the remote. The marble walls in the shop slid open. Various gowns caught the light and gave off a unique reflection.
There was definitely more than meets the eye in this shop. “Allow me to introduce my sister to you, Ava.” Hope smiled and took Maia’s arms in hers.
“| recognized her when you guys came in earlier. She’s none other than the CEO of Starlight Entertainment!” Ava looked at Maia admiringly.
Maia nodded at her and said, “Hello.” “Greetings, Ms. Maia.” Ava said with a smile, “Let me show you some of Victoria’s recent designs. All of them are one of a kind!”
“Do you know what's so great about this shop, Maia? Victoria hand—designed every single gown. All of them are unique and can’t be found elsewhere. They’re also very active in going after counterfeits. We don’t have to worry about wearing the same gown as the others!”
Hope looked at the gowns as she explained to Maia. “On top of that, every gown has its own unique traits. You won't be able to decide which one looks the best!”
“Indeed. Every gown here is very unique.” 1/3 +15 BONUS
“That’s right. That's why we have to choose a piece that suits us most, but Victoria has got a hot temper. If she isn’t willing to sell, then it doesn’t matter what you do or how much you pay. She'll just refuse your business. Nothing you say can change her mind! She reminds me of you.”
Hope chose a tight-fitting silver and blue gown with a slit up to the thigh. “This
gown looks
great, Maia! It suits you!” That was the first thing Hope thought of.
Ava agreed with her too, “Good eyes, Ms. Hope. Victoria spent a week coming up with a concept for this gown. Then, it underwent a lot of modifications.
“This piece of gown isn’t meant for everyone. Some of my customers saw it and liked it, but you'll need a curvaceous figure to bring out its unique traits! They had to give up on it.”
“I'll bet this gown suits Maia best, then!” Hope said. The way she saw it, this gown was made for Maia. Maia looked at the gown and frowned, “Isn't it a bit revealing?”
“How is it revealing? You’d only be showing a little bit of your cleavage and the design at the back of the gown doesn’t expose a lot of flesh!”
Hope gave Maia the gown. “It suits you very, very well, Maia! | promise you'll attract a lot of attention once you put it on!”
At that moment, several beautiful ladies in high heels went into the shop. Ava went over immediately and greeted them politely. “Greetings. Are you here to browse for some gowns?”
“Is that Maia?” The lady leading the group recognized Maia and made a cutting remark.
“| truly have the most rotten luck in the world. | can’t believe I'll bump into you here, you freaking divorcee!” There was an intense contempt in her tone.
Maia turned around and saw Fiona. There were two more elegant ladies behind her. They were probably her friends. She sneered and said, “It's you, Fiona. Are you still doing the thing where you take baths but you don’t brush your teeth? If you
think it’s rotten in here, then what’s stopping you from leaving? Are you waiting for me to kick you out?”
Fiona and her sarcastic exchange broke the internet when they were shooting the first episode of The Quest. Maia could not give a rat’s ass about the fact that she was the daughter of their sponsor. She found another sponsor as soon as they wrapped up the shooting in Brooksville.
Naturally, Fiona did not get the chance to debut. Maia sent her packing when they announced the first rankings. She had not counted on seeing her here.
Fiona was mad. She shouted at Maia like a woman possessed. “The Quest has come to an end. | +15 BONUS have to kick me out?
“| belong to the Obrien family. Everyone in the business world has to pay me some respect and yet, here you are, offending me. | have no clue how you got to be the CEO of Starlight Entertainment!”Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
Hope was displeased. “You're the one who ran your foul mouth off, so don’t make it sound like Maia offended you first. You started the whole thing!”
“Every actress is a piece of garbage. Do you want to run that by me again, you fucking bitch?” Fiona glared at Hope and lobbed profanity at her.
“You're a whore, like Maia. You seduced men with your status as an actress while she does the same thing as the CEO of Starlight Entertainment! Don’t the both of you share men and have orgies on the same bed? Hahaha!”
Fiona burst into laughter and the two ladies behind her followed suit.
