Whispers Of Betrayal (Anastasia and Alastor)

Chapter 43

Chapter 43

“Alastor, you are disgusting.” Anastasia said in a hoarse voice. She looked pathetic as if someone had slapped her in the face.

nastasia thought, “Felicia did this on purpose. I admit that Felicia won.”

“Anastasia!” Alastor wanted to grab Anastasia’s wrist, but Anastasia was already losing control of herself. She shook off his hand and stepped back quickly.

She smiled at Alastor, but her eyes were full of despair.

Things had already reached this point. No matter what she did, she would lose.

There was no chance of her winning-

“Alastor, the only reason you have left me with a shred of dignity is because you don’t want us to have a complete falling-out,” sneered Anastasia. She couldn’t talk about feelings anymore with Alastor, so she had no choice but to negotiate her terms with him.

“I never thought that one-day things would come to this point between us,” Anastasia continued, raising her hand to stop Alastor from getting closer.

There was a long silence between them. Anastasia’s head started buzzing violently.

She tried hard to control her emotions and make herself look less pathetic.

“Let’s get divorced” Anastasia said hoarsely, “Let’s do it exactly like you said. You leave the marriage with nothing, and we will get divorced.” Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Alastor frowned and clenched his fingers as he frowned and replied, “All right.”

Anastasia smiled as she thought, “He is so eager to end our marriage.”

“When are you planning to get the divorce certificate?” asked Anastasia as she looked up at Alastor.

Her breathing was a little shaky as she said that.

“There is no hurry for that,” said Alastor as he gestured for Anastasia to get into the car first. “Let’s keep it a secret for now from Grandma. We also need to keep up our appearance in front of my company’s people and partners. I will leave the marriage without taking anything. I will give you whatever you want. After signing the divorce agreement, we will not make it public for now.”

“You’re disgusting,” said Anastasia before turning around and walking away.

“Anastasia!” Alastor called out as he caught up with her and grabbed her wrist. “You are a smart woman. It was only four years, so I don’t think you have that much of feelings for me. There is no need for you to behave like this.”

Personally, Alastor thought that the terms he offered were not something that anyone else would give her.

“It was only four years… mumbled Anastasia. She felt that every word out of Alastor’s mouth sounded so harsh.

Alastor summed up the feelings she thought they had shared in just five words-it was only four years.

“No matter what, we were once husband and wife, so I don’t want to hurt you. So even if we get divorced, I hope we can keep a cooperative relationship, Anastasia,” reminded Alastor. He hoped that she wouldn’t force him to use other means to handle things with her.

“You want me to play along with you lying to Grandma Andrea and your mother to keep our divorce under wraps for now. You also want me to help maintain your image and lie to your partners and the

company’s people. Once your relationship with Felicia is exposed, you need me to personally help you clarify to prove that Felicia is not a mistress. I need to make it clear that we have long divorced peacefully, and we are still friends. All in all, you want me to be a generous, best ex-wife, right?”

Anastasia looked at Alastor and smiled ironically.

Over the years, she participated in more than 60% of Alastor’s company’s charity events. All donations, paintings, and even art exhibitions for public welfare were organized and handled by her.

How many partners cooperated with Alastor just because of this point?

Four years were neither long nor short, but it was enough time for her to help establish the image of Alastor’s company and her reputation as Mrs. Lopez.

She thought that if she made positive contributions to Alastor’s career, built a good image, and molded herself into the perfect Mrs. Lopez, she could bind Alastor to her.

Unexpectedly, the value of all these in the face of Alastor and his first crush’s biased true love were utterly worthless.

For Alastor, Anastasia was like merchandise. She was exchangeable, unlike Felicia, who was his lover.

Alastor was silent for a long time before he said, “That’s what I hope for as well”

“That’s fine with me… Anastasia said as she pretended to agree “But I have a condition”

Alastor lifted his head and looked at Anastasia before asking. “What is it?”

“I not only want you to leave the marriage with nothing, but I also need 15% of the original issue shares of Lopez Group Or you write an agreement that you won’t get a marriage certificate with Felicia for the

rest of your life. Pick one.” demanded Anastasia. She wanted to make Alastor suffer and make a choice between giving the shares or not being able to let Felicia become Mrs. Lopez.

“Anastasia, don’t go too far.” warned Alastor as he leaned against the car, his expression sullen.

“Then there’s nothing to talk about. Drive your disgusting car and meet Grandma Andrea yourself. Im not in the mood to play along with you, sneered Anastasia. She was not afraid that Alastor would hurt her. What else could she lose?

She was already dying and had nothing to worry about.

“Anastasia! Grandma was admitted to the hospital for acute myocardial infarction last night. Fortunately, the rescue was timely. If it weren’t for Grandma’s poor health. I wouldn’t ask you to keep it a secret, snapped Alastor as he grabbed Anastasia’s wrist again and started to become impatient.

“So, I’m giving you two choices. You choose one,” said Anastasia. She wanted to see how important Felicia was in Alastor’s heart. Was she more important than his grandma and his company shares?
