My autopsy report has been completed, and my body has been handled by the forensic doctor. Andrew looked at me lying there motionless.
He was as helpless as a child.
Although we were engaged, we hadn’t registered our marriage yet.
The police contacted my family and asked them to sign the paperwork.
My mother almost fainted from crying and held my hand tightly.
I shed silent tears.
I wanted to comfort her with my transparent hands, but I could only pass through her body.
I’m sorry, Mom.
Andrew wanted to raise his hand to touch my face, but my mother slapped him away.
“Don’t touch my daughter! We have all watched the surveillance video. It was you who force her out of the car that night!”
“If it weren’t for you, Olivia wouldn’t have ended up like this! How dare you come to see her!”
My brother Dylan Brown punched Andrew in the face, and Andrew was knocked against the wall next to him. “How could Olivia fall in love with someone like you? Give Olivia back to us!”
The police arrived in time to stop Dylan from beating Andrew to death.
Andrew left the police station and sat on the side of the road in a disheveled state.
He has completely lost the grace and demeanor he used to have at the negotiation table.
He still couldn’t believe the truth.
“Olivia… Olivia. Why? Why?”
He punched the granite next to him, and blood gushed out of his hand.
His endless “why” questions–were they directed at me or at himself?
I looked at his wound coldly.
I thought to myself with self–mockery, “So you also feel heartache for me?
I thought you would be happy to see me dead so you could marry Ava in style.”
Andrew’s tears dripped onto his sleeves. He grabbed his hair in annoyance and regret. “Olivia, you said you would always be with me.”
Yes, I said I would always be with him.
When we just graduated from college, Andrew started his own business from scratch. At that time, he was a poor boy with nothing.
Ava was pursued by a wealthy man and left Andrew without hesitation to go abroad.
I stayed by his side without a second thought.
He drank until he vomited, and I would pick him up no matter how late it was and cook for him.
When he was short of funds, I gave him all the money I had saved from college and the funds my parents bought for me to support him.
When he needed connections, I even begged Charlotte to help me ask her rich ex–boyfriend for help.
Charlotte was such a proud person…
I remember once at a bar, a drunk man tried to harass me.
Andrew was willing to risk losing the deal and hit the man on the head with a wine bottle.
Later, Andrew succeeded and became the youngest CEO in Arkdon City.

Andrew had a sweetheart who had been with him through thick and thin.
Forget about trying to win him over by honey–trap.
“It is you who loves me, and it is also you who hurts me.” I thought to myself.
Later, I saw the photos someone sent me of him and Ava walking in and out of the company side by side, having a candlelight dinner together.
Even the staff in the company jokingly called Ava Mrs. Baker.
But, Andrew, what are you regretting now?
Didn’t you cause all of this yourself?
