Vengeful Hearts Return Novel by Susan Clyde

Chapter 158

Many of the people present knew Dylan. They were also a little surprised to see him bring a woman over.

They thought, Just by looking at the woman’s figure and appearance, she’s indeed a stunner. No wonder Prince of Northville, who has always been unmoved by desire, would like her!

However, most of them only saw Audrey as an eye candy.

“She’s just a slightly more sophisticated eye candy, they thought.

A few people looked at Audrey’s face and found it familiar.

But after thinking for a long while, they could not remember where they had seen her before, so they did not probe further. They reckoned they had probably run into her at some gatherings.

In the world of the rich, there was naturally no shortage of good–looking people with good figures. If they also had some additional skills and were better at attending to others, they might have a turn of fortune and become a long–term lover.

There were naturally many such things in the world of fame and fortune.

Dylan held Audrey’s hand, leading her to sit on the sofa. He did not care about the people around them at all. His eyes and heart were solely focused on her.

He asked someone to send over a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.

Josh looked at the woman beside Dylan with a faint smile and said meaningfully, “Wow, Mr. Clifford, you are amazing. This is the first time I’ve seen you being so considerate and gentle. Why didn’t you introduce her to us?”

He couldn’t shake off the feeling that Audrey was somewhat familiar. After thinking about it, he did not have any memories of her.

He couldn’t help but take a few more glances at Audrey.

Dylan’s dark and cold eyes swept across Josh indifferently. His tall, slender, and upright figure moved slightly, blocking Josh’s gaze on Audrey.

“Hmph, so petty!” Josh said and let out a sneer. He looked at Dylan’s rare protective expression and could not help but be curious about Audrey’s identity, thinking, ‘She actually managed to capture the interest of this cold and abstinent scion of the Clifford family

“Have some drinks!” Josh said, immediately pouring Dylan three full glasses of drinks.

Dylan did not mind at first, but when he thought of the wound on his back and Audrey’s warning, he could not help but look at her.

Audrey looked at him indifferently and said, “Why are you looking at me?”

Her cold gaze was indifferent, so much so that Dylan immediately became vigilant. He thought of what Audrey had said previously. She mentioned that if the wound got inflamed again, he would not have to appear in front of her anymore.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

After thinking about it, Dylan did not drink those glasses of alcohol.

Josh glanced at Audrey in surprise. Then, he looked at Dylan mockingly, saying, “What’s wrong. Mr. Clifford? When did start being so afraid of women? This kind of behavior is unacceptable for a man.”

Dylan glanced at Josh indifferently and said coldly, “I’m willing!”

“Alright, as long as you’re happy!

Josh smiled. He then looked at the woman beside Dylan and chuckled as he said, want to come into my arms Young lady, you look a little familiar. Do you

Audrey let out a chuckle and raised her eyebrows, looking at Josh. In the next moment, what she said frightened Josh so much that he almost got off the sofa

“Of course I look familiar. I was the one who shaved off your curly hair back then.”

“Fuck!” Josh widened his eyes in disbelief as he looked at Audrey. He then glanced at Dylan before smiling.

‘I was wondering why Dylan was willing to walk out of the pain of the past and find a girl for a new romantic relationship, he thought. It seems like he has wooed her back.

Even in Iadale City, Josh still knew Dylan well. “In the past, he was alive but appeared emotionally lifeless, living a life that was no different from being dead, he thought. “Nowadays, he does appear more pleasant to look at. At least he has some warmth.

“Audrey, you really have changed a lot over the years, Josh said. “Tak, tsk. I have such clumsy eyes. Come over here. Let me apologize and offer you a drink.”

Josh had lived in Northville for over ten years. Dylan and Audrey had an arranged engagement when they were young. During their childhood, Audrey often visited Dylan to play. He was quite familiar with her.

When Josh was in his second year of high school, the curly hair he had permed was shaved off completely by Audrey, leaving it looking like it had been chewed by a dog.

“She doesn’t drink!” Dylan snatched the glass from Josh and handed the glass of freshly squeezed orange juice to Audrey. “Tsk, men!” Josh sneered at Dylan but did not make things difficult for Audrey.

At this moment, an affected voice suddenly came through.

“Josh, you haven’t introduced this person to everyone yet!”

The woman’s voice was sweet yet affected. Her beautiful face was covered in exquisite makeup, and she was wearing a black low–cut mini dress.

A large expanse of her flawless chest was exposed. Without showing any change in expression, she pulled her dress downward, revealing a deep cleavage.

The dress was very short, revealing large areas of her flawless skin.

Coupled with her affected mannerisms, it was so sweet to the point of being unpleasant. At this moment, she was staring intently in the direction of Dylan.

When Josh heard this woman’s sickly sweet voice, the expression on his face lost some of its enthusiasm. Even his smile turned cold.

“Why should I introduce him to you?” he said. “Who do you think you are?”

Right after Josh sneered, the affected woman’s face turned slightly pale. She bit her lip and glanced at Josh aggrievedly before directing her aggrieved glance in the direction of Dylan.

“Josh, it’s alright even if you don’t want to introduce him to me. I just find this gentleman somewhat familiar. Freya Simpson felt a strong sense of distaste.

She thought. Josh really sees himself as my cousin. I merely showed him some respect, yet he actually embarrassed me in front of so many people. But with that man here, I have no choice but to suppress my anger!

She stared at Dylan with a look of pity from time to time. Initially, she thought that with her good looks and good figure, no man could resist her allure.

Unexpectedly, Dylan did not even spare her a glance, only looking at the woman beside him tenderly. This made her so angry that she gritted her teeth.

Audrey did not pay much attention to everything around her. She let Dylan take care of her.

The other people who knew Dylan were also shocked when they saw the usually high and mighty scion taking care of a woman so considerately and gently.

After all, everyone knew that Dylan was cold and uninterested in women. He was even well–known for maintaining a certain distance from women. However, they did not expect to see him doting on a woman thoroughly one day.

Audrey took a sip of the orange juice that Dylan handed her. Just then, her phone rang. She took it out and glanced at it.

[Audrey, how come you are in ladale City? You are even with Dylan. You didn’t let him find out your identity, right?]

Audrey replied: [I’m here to do something.J

Her flawless and slender fingers tapped on the screen a few times before she put away her phone.

In a dimly lit corner of the private room, a young and handsome man heaved a sigh of relief upon reading Audrey’s message.

When he saw Audrey walking in with that demon Dylan earlier, he was really shocked.

After putting away her phone, Audrey glanced at Dylan and said, I’m going to the washroom.”

“I’ll go with you,” Dylan said, getting up as he spoke.

“It’s okay. I’ll go by myself.”
