Two Times the Charm

Chapter 419

Chapter 419

But this time, Emmett didn’t even blink as he swiftly ripped off her dress, exposing her fair skin in an instant.

The cool touch of Emmett’s fingers made her body stiffen, her heartbeat racing to the point of suffocation, “You can’t, you shouldn’t…”

But how could she withstand Emmett’s strength?

Despite her best efforts, it was futile.

Somewhere along the line, Emmett had unbuckled his belt and bound her hands, lifting them high above her head.

This position made Clara feel uneasy, like a piece of meat on a butcher’s block.

With her hands tied, running was pretty much out of the question!

“Don’t do this! Emmett, snap out of it! If you were sober, you should hate me, don’t you remember? I betrayed you, so you can’t do this!”

Before she could finish, suddenly, she felt the weight of the man above her.

For a moment, Clara felt as though she was dreaming!

He, he actually did it after getting drunk, under this circumstance! Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

Clara wanted to escape, but there was simply no chance left for her, other than to follow Emmett’s rhythm, she could do nothing.

After leaving Emmett’s bedroom, Leah returned to her own room.

She was planning to discuss with Clara on how to quickly get her out of the Melendez family, but before she could step out, Sophia arrived.

“I just put the kids to bed.” She smiled, pushing the door open, “Are you getting used to living here?”

Leah quickly replied, “Yes! I sleep so well knowing I am close to the kids!”

Sophia nodded with satisfaction, then sighed, “It’s a pity they are too young to understand! Don’t be discouraged if they don’t warm up to you; sooner or later they will accept you. After all, you are their biological mother!”

Leah’s eyes lit up, and she insisted on pouring Sophia a cup of water despite her injury.

Sophia quickly took it, “Oh my! You shouldn’t strain yourself; there are servants for this! What if you strain your injury?”

She smiled, “It’s okay, the doctor said I should move around more!”

“You should do so moderately! By the way, I came to tell you, don’t worry, I will get Clara out as soon as possible! I apologize for the dinner incident. It was my oversight; don’t take it to heart!”.

“Of course not,” Leah quickly replied, “I know you do everything for my sake, and I don’t blame Emmett. I can tell he hasn’t let go of Clara yet.”

Hearing Clara’s name, Sophia frowned instantly, “I don’t know what’s so great about Clara! I felt like the air was polluted by her presence! How did I ever tolerate her living in our house for so long? Compared to you, she’s nothing but a lowly creature; not only is she a divorcee, but she also had children from another man! The mere thought of her being my daughter-in-law makes me feel suffocated!”

Leah quickly tried to soothe her, “If thinking about her makes you uncomfortable, then stop. Maybe you have some bias against her? I’ve met Clara a few times, and she doesn’t seem like what the news says.”
