Chapter 415
Chapter 415
Leah would have found a way to extricate her from the situation. Otherwise, she knew that Emmett’s gaze would never rest on her.
Rose rolled her eyes, “I don’t understand you guys. Luckily, I’ve never been in love. If it’s this much trouble, I’d rather be single.”
Clara dabbed at her tears with a tissue and spoke softly, “Don’t let my situation affect you. I’m just a unique case. Don’t lose hope in love! You’re so kind, and you deserve a great boyfriend who truly loves you!”
Rose’s eyes wandered around, her face indifferent, “I don’t care about all that. As long as I can save some money and have enough for food and clothes, that’s all that matters. Now, enough with the sadness. How about I take you to my secret hideout?”
“Secret hideout?” Clara was taken aback.
“Yes! I go there every time I feel down,” Rose extended her hand, “Come on, let’s go. It’s a place no one else knows about!”
“At the Melendez’s?”
“Exactly, at the Melendez’s.”
The bar was alive with noise.
Everyone seemed to be venting their daily frustrations, with the ladies dancing freely, their eyes seeking potential partners to flirt with.
The men seated around watched keenly, silently rating the women who were flaunting their beauty. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
However, there was something different that day. The most expensive booth had been booked by Elio!
He sat alone, ordering a table full of drinks and not allowing anyone near.
Two women, cocktails in hand, approached him, “Hey, care to share a drink? You look lonely all by yourself.”
Elio glanced up, his face darkening, “Scram! All of you, get lost!”
The women were taken aback, “We just wanted to chat; no need to be so rude! If you don’t want to drink with us, fine. But remember, gentlemen have manners!”
However, no sooner had these two women left, another group of women approached to flirt!
In a bar like this, a noticeable man like Elio was naturally popular, but the outcome was always the same-the women were chased away in disgrace.
Elio picked up a bottle to pour himself more drink, but his aim was off. Finally, he discarded the glass and drank straight from the bottle.
The red wine spilled down his neck, staining his expensive suit.
Soon after, the bar’s owner came over, “Ah! If I had known you were coming, I would have prepared something special.”
Elio glanced at him but said nothing, continuing to drink.
The owner quickly interjected, “But Elio, you’re drinking too much. How about a dance?”
“I won’t dance! Leave me alone.”
“Are you drunk?” the owner asked, reaching out to steady Elio, “We have a rest room here. Let me take you there to sober up a bit; how about that?”
Elio scowled, shrugging off his hand, “I told you to leave me alone, so don’t make me lose my temper!”
“Alright, alright! Elio, don’t be mad. Then I’ll leave.”
The owner reluctantly got up and signaled the bartender not to serve Elio any more drinks.
After all, if this big shot got drunk in his bar, he’d be in a difficult position!
