Trapped with a Lawyer

Chapter 198 Nothing Better To Do

Chapter 198 Nothing Better To Do

Ella pouted to show her disapproval, sick of being threatened by Samuel. "Samuel, go away!"

Said Ella in a firm, commanding voice, pretending to be irritated.

She wanted to see how patient Samuel would be, and to what extent he would concede to her.

"Okay, I'll go. But..." There was no sign of anger on Samuel's face, as he treated her so tenderly.

His reaction left Ella puzzled for a moment. Did Samuel really want to get back together again?

"You have to promise me one thing first."

"What?"

Ella glared at him, curious about what he was going to request from her.

'A promise should not be that hard to agree to, ' Ella thought.

"From now on, even if I lie to you, you shouldn't be cross with me. You should trust that I'll never cross

the line." Ella thought about how she had crossed the line already, by not telling him about their

daughter. Ella began to fidget.

Samuel watched as Ella squirmed on her bed, thinking that she was trying to find a comfortable

position but had a nagging thought that she was keeping something from him.

After all the years in the entertainment industry, Ella hadn't learned how to lie. She was so easy to read,

especially when she was keeping a secret.

"Deal!" Samuel replied succinctly, thinking that he needed to handle one issue at a time. Ella felt

embarrassed that she had been hesitant and indecisive. On numerous occasions, she had either

rejected him or driven him away.

"Okay I promise."

Her point-blank reply led to a tight hug and ardent kisses.

After a few seconds, their moans and groans echoed in the luxury ward. "Not here. It's hard to breathe,

"

"Don't worry, I'll give you an artificial respiration, "

"No ..."

"Put your injured arm aside, so I won't touch it by accident." A bright flash of red washed over Ella's

face. Why? Was she shy?

Samuel was indeed an old rogue. What's worse, the door of the ward was made of transparent glass!

"Shame on you! No! If you don't let me go, I will shove your face with my injured arm."

Carefully putting her injured arm in place, Samuel responded with affection, "Well, you win. Let me

cuddle you to sleep then."

Samuel was a man who walked the talk. He laid down beside Ella. However, she couldn't contain

herself when Samuel made his next move, so she uttered, "Let's just sleep."

"Got it." Samuel tried to fit his frame behind Ella. Feeling uncomfortable, Ella moved to the edge of the

bed.

'Drift to sleep Ella, ' she cooed to herself.

Early the next morning, The Li's, Ye's, Ye Yun's, and Tang's walked into the VIP ward of the Chengyang

Private Hospital.

They gathered around the bed, silently watching over Samuel and Ella, who were fast asleep.

A few young nurses outside the ward peeked through the glass windows, the sight of handsome men

making them blush.

Even the most serious head nurse, who was a big fan of Joseph, couldn't help but take a peek.

As expected, the first one to wake up was Samuel, feeling as if there was someone watching him.

However, Ella, a care-free soul, laid her head on Samuel's left arm.

Upon opening his eyes, Samuel calmly looked at the visitors. He attempted to wake Ella up, but she

refused and continued to sleep peacefully. "Don't you all have better things to do than watching a

couple sleep. I mean, you are prominent in your chosen professions and yet you take the time to glare

at us. Ha!"

Chuck had already told everyone what had happened to Ella. Knowing Ella was fine, everyone looked

on, just for fun.

Harry was the first to tease, "Mr. Shao. Why the long face? Didn't you get what you wanted last night?"

"Ha! You think you are funny Harry? We just slept, that's it!" Samuel replied whilst putting on his shoes All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

and tucking in Ella's quilt. He had wanted much more, but didn't want to force anything.

"Samuel, you are such scum. You are only good enough to hold my sister." Eason said, his voice

dripping with hostility, whilst he held Anna's shoulder.

Samuel was wondering why Ella and Eason were the only ones who called him scum. No-one else

seemed to be calling him that. Was he scum?

"Just so you know. Ella and I are still married. Even though she abandoned me for four years, I didn't

send the divorce agreement to the Civil Affairs Bureau. So, how am I scum?" Samuel looked at the four

men in front of him. It turned out that they came to make fun of him.

What Samuel had said surprised the women who were present since they had assumed Samuel had

divorced Ella.

Eason had not turned hostile towards Samuel, not only because his sister had forbidden him from

doing so, but also because the divorce agreement had not taken effect.

If Samuel had sent it over, he would have fallen out with him. Fortunately, Samuel had not let him

down.

"Mr. Shao has lived like a monk for four years. Eason, your brother-in-law, deserves a medal!" Joseph

said, looking at Samuel admiringly.

"Of course! I'm a man of integrity. I have remained loyal to my wife even when we haven't been

together for four years. Eason, you are not in a position to judge me."

For Samuel, Ella was the only one who were entitled to call him 'scum.'

"A man of integrity? Really? Didn't you get engaged two years later? You can learn something from me.

Even though my wife had been away for four years, I wasn't involved in any scandals. Our love

remained sacred." Chuck said, smiling slyly.

But deep down, he regretted that he hadn't had a high-profile engagement to make Daisy cry.

He had wanted to make her feel the pain he felt when she broke his heart. Samuel looked at Ella who

was still fast asleep with mixed emotions of pity and pleasure. It turned out that Catherine's proposal

was effective, at least it had proven that she cared for him.

Samuel stared at Chuck, and a memory nudged its way to his mind. "Remind me Chuck. Three years

and eight months after your wife ran away, weren't you holding a bouquet of roses on Valentine's Day?

Who was the lucky lady huh?"

This succeeded in raising Daisy's doubt.

When she looked up at Chuck, his face was ridden with guilt. She had thought Chuck was such a freak

that no girls would be interested in. It seemed that she was very much mistaken.

Daisy grabbed his tie and led him out of the ward. "Let's talk."

"Have fun you two." Samuel chuckled, waving his hand and avoiding Chuck's eyes, which were blazing

with anger.

Glancing at the other three couples, Samuel decided to start with Eason, "Big brother..." This caught

Eason's attention.

He ignored Eason's warning, and said, "Eason, an American girl called Lily asked me for your number

some time ago, and talked about your 'three-year agreement' with her. I'm dying to know what

happened next, hmm."
