The Twin Alphas Warrior Luna (RYN)

Chapter 155

Chapter 155 RYN

I looked down at my trembling hands and held them together between my laps.

It's not just my hands, it's my entire body having an earthquake and I feel like I am going to crumble anytime soon.

"You should learn not to get attached to people." El said and who I turned to look at her, she was gazing non-chalantly out the window.

"They are my mates!" I snapped.

"I know." She shrugged.

I turned to El again. "Where were you guys when I needed you the most?" My voice trembled, "Why didn't you snatch me up when I was hungry and battered and bruised? Why wait until was taken care of and pampered by the Princes before coming into my life?" El met my gaze, her eyes emotionless. "That's for the Watcher to answer"

"Of course." Í rolled my eyes.

Just then, my phone rang and it was the Watcher.

froze, wondering if he had been listening to our conversation. Nonetheless, I picked the call.

"Let me guess, not only is watching your thing, but eavesdropping too, huh?"

EL sucked her teeth in anger before shaking her head. Meanwhile, The Watcher chuckled darkly.

"What's funny?' I asked.

"You remind me of someone? came the distorted voice.

I couldn't care less, so I replied with silence.

"I see you're upset." The Watcher said. "You shouldn't be."

My forehead creased in anger. "Why not? I waited years to find my mates and now I have to stay away from them. Do you know how terrible that is?"NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

"I actually do, but it's a necessary sacrifice. Especially since we both have the same enemies?

I frowned. "I thought this was a 'you' thing."

"No, silly. It's a 'we' thing. With time, you'll understand why."

I sighed, definitely tired of the riddles. "Why didn't you approach me earlier? Why wait till now?"

"Because earlier, I didn't know you existed."

What does that even mean?

"Existed in what sense? What's special about me?"

"A whole damn lot and it's not something to break down over the phone or all at once. Besides, with each enemy, you will find clues about your identity starting with the Brohmers."

Wed,

I exhaled hard, still confused and upset. "Fine" I shook my head rolling my eyes. I just want to be with Theon and Miro and the fact that they are in the same city as me is making my wolf fictically restless and moody. "You're still upset." The Watcher insisted.

"Well you can't blame me. I just ran away from my mates because I am not allowed to interact with them."

"Would you rather they stop this car so you can go meet them?e or she said, and I didn't miss the subtle anger in their tone. "That can be arranged and you'll get your mates back."

I eyed my phone warily. "What will I be missing out on?"

The Watcher chuckled. "You're a wise girl."

"Please, just answer me straight for once." I hung my head, rubbing my temple as I felt a headache coming on.

"You'll be missing out on a chance to avenge your parent's deaths

I raised my head in alarm, staring at the phone in my hand. Then I looked at El who watched me without any care.

"My parents died in a rogue-caused-road accident." I stated, remembering how Alpha Jack had broken it down to me.

"Did they now?" The Watcher replied and my heart began to hammer at the possibility that their deaths weren't just an unfortunate random case.

"What... what are you saying?" I whispered, my voice shaking.

"I'm saying your parents were murdered," he said calmly.

The words hit me like a punch to the chest. Murdered? My parents? My head spun as I tried to make sense of it. How? Why? When? Who? The questions swirled in my mind like a swarm of bees, their buzzing unbearable. "How do you know this?" I managed to ask, my throat tight.

"I have footage. Evidence of their murder."

My stomach dropped. "Who did it?"

"It wasn't just one person," he said, his tone serious. "I can guarantee that."

Anger exploded inside me like wildfire, burning away my shock. "TELL ME, DAMN IT!" I yelled, my voice cracking with rage and pain.

There was silence on the other end of the line and for a second, I thought he or she was gone.

Then I heard a sigh.

"I know you are curious about

everyone's involvement, but I have my reasons for not telling you

everything all at once

you will have the worst mental

breakdown and you won't be able to execute this perfect plan of revenge. So let things unfold gradually and you will understand, okay?"

I decided to see some sense in his statement. "Fine." I stated. "I'll trust you on this."

"Good."

Shortly after, the call ended and I leaned against the window, lost in thought.

My parents had been murdered? By whom? And for what? They were the gentlest people I have ever known. Always smiling

So why? and never once bad-mouthing anyone in my presence.

Was it because of me?

When we arrived back at the mansion, I didn't have the appetite to eat, so I went upstairs, took a shower and went to bed.

After having a fitful dream about Theon and Miro finding me and killing EL, my alarm woke me up to the reminder that Billie's interview would go live in the next ten minutes.

Getting dressed, I went downstairs

and found Elin the living room, standing behind a couch while facing the flat screen TV. The device had already been put at the news station I went to earlier and I could see a female presenter talking to the

camera.

Sitting down, I listened as she hinted at Billie Brohmer, who allegedly is a victim of "the first female Elite and an example of what Ryn Ashmore is capable of doing once she gets into power

Shortly after, Billie walks onto the set, her blonde hair styled to the side so her disfigured face could be visible. She had a pink ribbon in her hair to somewhat make her look more innocent, and was dressed in a simple cream - colored gown.

The presenter, introduced as Katie, exchanged plesantries with Billie and then they got into the nitty gritty of the interview,

"So could you explain from scratch what really happened?" Katie asked, and Billie exhaled, before reaching for a handkerchief to dab her eyes.

Then she narrated her lie.

In her story, I was the one who lured her into the woods in the thick of night. I was the one who wanted to hunt for bunnies and at first, it was fun, but then as soon as we caught one, I wanted to kill it because it made me feel powerful and when she refused and tried to save bunny from me, I pounced on her and slashed her face instead.

I stared, barely able to sum up the strength to feel surprised.

As soon as she finished her story, she began to cry, and apologize for her breakdown.

Katie assured her it was okay and after Billie was done with her acting, she expected another question from the presenter.

"This is all so terrible." Katie said, her grey eyes reflecting sympathy. "But I need to understand why you would make up this lie against Miss Kathryn Ashmore."

Billie slowly blinked, her brain trying to process the question. "What?"

"Because we have evidence that you were coerced by your father, Alpha Jack, to make up this story in order to taint the character of Miss Ashmore."

"No!" Billie shook her head, her brows furrowed in anger, "That's a lie!"

"Really?" Katie arched a brow, then faced the camera. "Ladies, and gentlemen all over the world, stay tuned as we play real time evidence refuting Miss Brohmer's claims." That's when I smirked, because whatever is about to happen, I know Billie is about to suffer disgrace on a national scale.
