Chapter 724 The Two Things I Owed You
Chapter 724 The Two Things I Owed You
“What? Who did you say you were again?” asked the security guard in shock.
He would never have thought that the penniless youngster in front of him had the audacity to claim that
he was Young Master Chen.
Of course, judging from his appearance alone, the security guard would not believe him.
What astounded him was the gaze of the young man which he did not notice earlier.
As he exchanged gazes with Chen Hao, the security guard felt a strong gush of suppression coming
toward him all of a sudden.
In addition to the terrifying power this young man had, the aura sent chills down his spine.
He had no reason not to believe him; in other words, he simply did not dare to not trust his words.
Everyone was dumbstruck at that moment, including Yang Xia and the rest of the group.
“Hahaha, Chen Hao, I must’ve misheard you, right? Who did you say you were?” Yang Xia let out a
chuckle.
Yang Xia thought that Chen Hao was going to get himself beaten up. However, she did not expect him
to have such tricks up his sleeve.
On the other hand, she was still thinking about what Chen Hao had said, claiming himself to be Young
Master Chen.
Young Master Chen was Jin Ling’s wealthiest individual; his reputation had preceded him.
If he was indeed Young Master Chen, wouldn’t that mean she was Mrs. Chen? No, she would actually
be ex-Mrs. Chen instead. How could this be?!
Especially when Chen Hao claimed himself to be Young Master Chen, Yang Xia immediately felt a
surge of panic. She no longer had any relations to him, but why was she feeling scared?
In the blink of an eye, Li Zhenguo arrived at the entrance.
Chen Xiao must have explained the situation and given Li Zhenguo a photograph of me, Chen Hao
thought to himself.
Zhenguo dashed toward him with joy. NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
“Young Master Chen!”
He gave a deep, 90-degree bow.
“Young Master Chen!”
All the other high-ranking staff in the company greeted him simultaneously as well.
The young man in front of them was not any ordinary person; he was Chen Hao, the poor kid who was
raised by the rich family!
“What?”
Yang Xia, Lu Chen and the rest of the group could not believe their eyes. Especially Lu Chen, whose
face turned ashen in an instant.
The dirt-poor kid was actually the Young Master? Someone who even President Li had to bow down
to? Lu Chen thought to himself.
Their breathing became heavy and staggered, and they desperately wanted to dig a hole to hide
themselves in.
“Yes, President Li. There is something I need to discuss with you. Let’s talk it over in my office!”
Chen Hao nodded.
“Yes, Young Master Chen!” answered Li Zhenguo.
Just when they were about to leave, Yang Xia could not help but yell for them to stop. “Hold up!”
“Huh? Is there a problem, miss?” Li Zhenguo stared at her.
“President Li, are you sure you got the right person? His name is Chen Hao and he’s from our college;
he’s not Young Master Chen! How can he be Young Master Chen?” replied Yang Xia, stopping Li
Zhenguo in his tracks.
“Of course he is, I wouldn’t mistake him for someone else. Moreover, Chen Hao is Young Master Chen
indeed!” answered Li Zhenguo calmly.
“That’s impossible, impossible!”
Yang Xia staggered to her feet, taking two steps back. Li Zhenguo’s words were like a bolt of thunder
filled with an aura of devastation, shattering every last hope and wish Yang Xia had.
In just an instant, she lost everything she ever had.
“Chen Hao!”
Yang Xia was full of regret now.
“Forget it. Since we’ve already broken up, let’s just stop pestering each other. Live your life as it is. I still
have work to do!”
Chen Hao did not pay any attention to her much longer, and went straight into the Hot Spring Villa—
leaving the astonished crowd and Yang Xia behind, who was absolutely repentant.
“Young Master Chen, you are right. There is a unit in the Cloud Hill Manor that is going to be auctioned
off soon. Do you want to purchase it?” asked Li Zhenguo in the office.
Truth be told, this was the first time Li Zhenguo had met Young Master Chen, and Young Master Chen
was not the person Li Zhenguo had imagined him to be.
He thought that after living so poorly for such a long time, Young Master Chen would need a period of
time to get used to his new life after figuring out his identity.
He thought that Chen Hao would be bashful and appear truthful in front of everyone. However, Li
Zhenguo did not expect Young Master Chen to be so vigorous, giving people a strong feeling of being
suppressed immediately.
This sense of suppression was so overwhelming that it made people suffocate.
“Yes, not only do I want to purchase it, I also want you to assemble an engineering team to open up the
land below the Cloud Hill Mansion and put a huge boulder in it. It will come in handy for me. I don’t care
what measures you have to resort to; you have six days to complete the task,” said Chen Hao.
“U-Understood!”
Li Zhenguo wanted to ask Chen Hao the reason for doing so, but no words came out from his mouth.
He knew that there were some questions he could ask, and some which he knew he shouldn’t.
“Young Master Chen, I will handle it right away!” answered Li Zhenguo.
After delegating the tasks, all Chen Hao had to do was to wait patiently for the next few days.
There was no doubt that this was an opportunity of a lifetime as he could only go back in time just this
once.
Thus, he had to take advantage of the situation to compensate for all the regrets he had toward
Tongxin and make it up to her.
He had always told her that he would make her the happiest woman in the world when they got
married. But before they could get married, an accident fell upon Tongxin, and he could not do anything
for her.
This time round, Chen Hao did not care whether the both of them were in a relationship or not. All he
wanted to do was to make Tongxin the happiest person alive during these six days.
Later on, he returned to the college and stopped by the milk tea store.
“I want a cup of milk tea, boss!” said Chen Hao.
“A-Are you done kidding around yet? Stop stirring trouble here, do you even have the money to pay for
it?”
The boss was petrified.
“Keep the change!”
Chen Hao took out a 100 bill and handed it over to the boss.
The boss was shocked. “You didn’t steal this money, did you?”
“Your milk tea is delicious. The only problem is that you talk too much. Hurry!” Chen Hao was
speechless.
“Alright!”
The boss did not ask any more questions as he quickly made a cup of milk tea for Chen Hao.
After collecting his drink, Chen Hao headed straight to the Broadcasting Department.
Su Tongxin was in the middle of class, listening to the male lecturer going on about the lesson.
Suddenly, the classroom door swung open.
Every single student lifted their gaze, turning their heads toward the door.
They were surprised to see Chen Hao standing in the doorway, holding a cup of milk tea in his hand.
Almost the entire school knew that Chen Hao was an impoverished loser, but what was he doing here
at the Broadcasting Department?
“Tongxin, look! It's him!”
Su Tongxin was busy taking down notes when someone interrupted her. Only then did she come back
to her senses.
As she lifted her head, her cheeks turned rose pink.
“Excuse me, what are you trying to do? What are you doing here in our class?” asked the lecturer
sternly, fixing the glasses sitting on his nose.
Chen Hao ignored him. With one hand tucked in his pocket, Chen Hao walked straight toward Su
Tongxin.
“Here is the milk tea I owe you. Take it!”
Chen Hao placed the milk tea in front of Tongxin.
“Wow!”
The whole class started howling.
Was this beggarly kid trying to chase after a wealthy maiden? Damn, this theatrical scene that
appeared out of nowhere felt unreal to everyone!
“Y-You didn’t have to, just go back!”
Su Tongxin did not see this coming as well and did not know what to do. Moreover, the boys in class
were staring at them maliciously.
“Actually, I still owe you two more things. I was wondering when I could return them to you?” said Chen
Hao with a serious tone as he looked at her.
“What are those two things?” asked Su Tongxin bashfully.
“A promise, and a heart!”
