Chapter 701 Heading to the North Desert

Chapter 701 Heading to the North Desert

Gu Yuehong and her men saw flames that burned tall into the sky when they got back to the Gu house.

The whole Gu house was in flames, seeming that it would soon be turned into ash.

Gu Yuehong’s eyes were red shot; feelings of anger and grief were all mixed up within her at the

moment as she screamed hysterically, “The foundation of the Gu Family that lasted tens of thousands

of years is now ruined by Chen Hao. I swear in the name of my family that I will get my revenge back

on you, Chen Hao!”

Gu Yuehong finally realized that the person who pretended to be Gu Feng was none other than Chen

Hao.

He actually told the truth when he said that Gu Feng was within his grasp, but Gu Feng wasn’t able to

escape; he was brutally murdered in the forest by Chen Hao instead.

Chen Hao then sneaked inside the Gu Family’s house and destroyed the foundations of the family with

a burning flame.

Gu Yuehong was filled with hatred, so much so that her whole body trembled as she gritted her teeth.

“Gather all our manpower and search everywhere for Chen Hao’s whereabouts. Even if he escaped to

the edge of the earth, make sure you still capture him and bring him back. I will personally tear him into

pieces!”

Gu Yuehong felt an indescribable anxiety; surely the cornerstone of the Gu Family was not taken by

Chen Hao? She felt the cornerstone being moved, but it was quite impossible since the Great Ancestor

was personally there to guard it.

Without giving much thought for her own safety, Gu Yuehong rushed straight into the flames, directly

toward her own secret room.

Three days later, Chen Hao nearly reached a town in the North Desert. “Even though I have yet to

properly understand the Essence of Nine Cycles, but the changes that had been brought upon me by

the first cycle were way too much!” said Chen Hao as he dashed out from a forest nearby; the town in

the North Desert was getting near in sight.

Thinking back on the changes that happened upon himself within the short period of three days, Chen

Hao could barely suppress his surprise and joy.

Crossing the Thai Mountains from Thai City on foot to reach the small town in the North Desert in a day

would probably be easy for Chen Hao, considering his original cultivation base.

But for the past three days, Chen Hao had felt immense changes in his body. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

When Uncle Qin used to use herbs for him to take baths in, the changes in his body were so large that

it felt as if every single cell in his body had expanded, intensely absorbing all spiritual energy from his

surroundings. This caused his physique, as well as his abilities, to continuously grow stronger.

But now, after the awakening of the first cycle, he felt as if his whole body no longer belonged to him

anymore; it was as if a new channel between him and the surroundings had been opened. Previously,

absorbing spiritual energy would mean nourishment for his body, but now, he felt like he was one with

the spiritual energy of the Heavens and the Earth; it was as if a separation between him and the

surroundings had been completely removed, fusing him with the elements of the surroundings into one.

Furthermore, by utilizing his Heaven Abstruse Skills, he managed to improve his cultivation base on an

exponential level.

Now, in merely three days, he had managed to cross the intermediate level of his Perfection Stage and

proceeded straight into the final level, or maybe even into the later stages of the final level.

Nonetheless, Chen Hao was unable to explain the situation accurately himself.

All in all, even Chen Hao himself felt that he was extremely powerful.

Three days ago, he was at a stage where his spiritual powers were strong but not enough to collide

head-to-head with the Gu Family and the King of Nine Doors, which was why he didn’t stay back in

Thai City. But now, even if Chen Hao was to go directly against Gu Yuehong or Yun Qing, he would be

able to defeat them.

This was Chen Hao’s confidence, which originated completely from the power he possessed.

But right now, his top priorities were to help Ziyan to find the dead body of the Celestial War God to let

them be together again, and then proceed with the Holy Water Ritual. Thus, he had been attempting

cultivation in the woods as he traveled, which was why it took him three days to finally reach the place.

They had promised to gather at the inn that Chen Hao had been to before.

But Chen Hao finally knew after he had arrived at the town that Ziyan, Uncle, and the others did stay at

the inn, but they had left on the previous morning after they were escorted away by somebody. Since

then, they have yet to return.

How could this be? Could it be that Uncle has an acquaintance here as well? Chen Hao thought. He

was puzzled.

“Do you know who were the ones who took them away?” Chen Hao asked.

“I don’t know about that. Recently there have been a lot of people coming over. They were all wearing

Western suits with a special emblem on their chest. I saw them being escorted away by those people!”

the inn owner answered.

Chen Hao nodded.

Uncle did not leave him any message that would enable him to go looking for them.

It looked like they had no intention to stay there for long after they had left, but something must have

happened for them to not return.

“Hey young fella, did you see those people outside? They’re the people with the same outfit. It looks

like they might be the ones who took your friends away?” the owner said as he looked outside and

pointed at a group of at least a dozen people.

Chen Hao followed the inn owner’s gaze and saw a tall lady in sportswear leading the group. The lady

was tall, with a lean physique that suggested she was a practitioner of the martial arts. She had

naturally wavy long hair that reached to her shoulders and her appearance was extremely beautiful and

ethereal; one look was enough to tell that she was not a local.

She was having a walk on the street with a dozen suited bodyguards following closely behind her; just

as the inn owner had mentioned, all those bodyguards wore a circular symbol on their chests.

“It was them?” Chen Hao could not help but frown as he walked up to her with the intention of asking

them a few questions.

“Please go back, Miss. We were the ones who were originally in charge of this. Moreover, Tiger Lei is

an extremely cunning person. I’m afraid that something might go wrong and you will be put in danger!”

said a middle-aged man behind her.

The middle-aged man had sharp eyebrows and a pair of handsome eyes; his palms could be seen to

be full of calluses, and judging from the imposing aura that emanated from him, he seemed to be also

an expert in the martial arts. He was following the lady from behind and was trying his best to convince

her.

“Hmph, so what? I am going to give my family a piece of my mind and make them realize that I, Du

Yining, am as good compared to them when I am handling my affairs. I can settle the things that my

father was not able to. As for the person that my father was not able to defeat, hmph, I will defeat them!

Enough of this. I will only be meeting them in a while, so stop bothering me during my walk. Just follow

me from far behind!”

Du Yining looked like she was in her mid-twenties; she might be exceptionally beautiful, but everyone

around her knew that she was a dangerous woman, someone who was extremely difficult to deal with.

So, her subordinates stopped trying to persuade her but merely followed her slowly from behind.

“Hello miss, I have something I would like to ask.” Chen Hao stood there watching them for a moment

before he approached Du Yining, standing in front of her.

“Who are you?” Du Yining was eyeing him from head to toe.

His outfit was simple and he looked quite handsome, but not enough for Du Yining to set her eyes on

someone like him. So, she just looked at him with disdain.

“I would like to ask you guys about something. I have six of my friends, two men and four women, and

they have stayed at this inn. I heard the owner say that they were escorted away by someone in the

early hours yesterday. Was it your people?” Chen Hao smiled politely; he decided to just act as a

normal person around them.

“What the hell? Who do you think you are? Go ask the person who took them away! Why are you even

asking me about this? I’ve seen the likes of you many times. Cut it out with your lame pickup lines. Why

don’t you take a look at yourself in the mirror? You’re not even worth my time!” said Du Yining with

much contempt.

The bodyguards behind her stepped forward as she was saying those words; they all gave a cold glare

toward Chen Hao, trying to scare this creep away from their Miss…
