Rowan initially wanted to bring her over while hiding the both of them with his spell so that the big guy wouldn’t notice them. However, seeing Esmeralda like this, he knew that he must help her somehow. If she didn’t have enough mental power for this, her mind might break down, causing her to become mentally crippled.

He started chanting a holy melody, with patterns of lotus flowers coming out of his mouth. Every note within this chant glistened with gold, leaving several golden petals flowing around the two. This formed a beautiful golden shield to protect them from the Peacock Heavenly King’s spiritual pressure.

In the end, the peacock noticed Rowan and Esmeralda, hence becoming its target. Shrieking, it dashed towards them immediately.

Rowan could hear how panicked Esmeralda sounded when she yelled at him through telepathy. He knew that she was currently within the Peacock Heavenly King. She could also be using some other way, but it was clear that she could see or sense Rowan’s current movements.

He brought out the Immortal Butcher and whispered. “How else would Ibe able to lure this big guy out?”

He then turned to Esmeralda. “Esmeralda, run now! I’ll stall it!”

Yet Esmeralda seemed confident. “I don’t need protection. I’m here to fight! So don’t treat me like a weakling.”

She took two steps to the front, putting her body before Ludwig. Shouting, a large green snake appeared right before her, rushing towards the peacock with great speed.

That was not Esmeralda herself and was instead a type of phantasm. Despite this, it looked real and seemed tremendously strong. Even then, she was currently facing the Peacock Heavenly King, a being that ruled the world for an entire era during ancient times.

“How annoying!” The Peacock Heavenly King slashed his claws towards it, instantly turning the snake into dust

A bright green light shone through where the snake disappeared. It had been replaced by a long green sword, heading straight for the peacock’s eyes. Hence, the green snake was just a decoy, and the sword was the actual attack.

The Peacock Heavenly King immediately closed its eyes, revealing its golden eyelids. When the sword landed on its eyelids, it was instantly blocked off. It was simply unimaginable how hard a mere eyelid was.

Esmeralda let out a shout again, controlling the green sword again. After it bounced back, it turned into hundreds of flying swords, forming a circular sword formation that surrounded the peacock.

Later on, she attacked it relentlessly.
