THE NANNY AFFAIR

Chapter 53 Job so soon

inaudible conversation)

And it hasn’t been an hour since methane left my room, Riya sneaks in without my knowledge, donning a vicious smile on.

“Hello! Handsome” she finally makes her presence known, gaining my attention to her.

“Hello, Riya! What are you doing here?” I asked fiddling for her response.

So she says, “what do you mean why am I here? Can’t I come to talk with you anymore? Ain’t we friends?”.  She frowns at me.

I had no idea that our relationship can be tagged as being friends, I have always thought that I was the guy, who normally comes to her rescue! Nothing more, nothing less.

“Wow, Riya! You surprise me with your words”.

(A flabbergasted glare draped over my face)

Riya gigged seeing the look I had on, she takes three steps closer to where I stood, our eyes locked for a while before she proceeds with her statement.

“We can be more if you want to! Do you?”.

I noticed the more gilt in her eyes while she airs out her thoughts to me, does it mean she wants us to be more than friends? I asked myself but before I could alter up, she affirms her words to me, “yes! I do want us to be more than friends! And do you wanna  know something else?” She gives herself a time out before recessing her words again to me, “I love you Salem Baltimore! I am in love with you and I do know that it might come as a shock to you but please don’t say no to me”.

My eyes widened up hearing her statement, it must be a silly joke I said to myself thus when I saw she didn’t don a smile, a figured it wasn’t a joke at all, but the question in mind was, how did we end up being in such a Delima?.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

Riya was indeed a beautiful, tall, dark-skinned lady, who illuminates the whole room with her presence and any man would be lucky to have a woman like her but that man isn’t me. (Frowns).

Her presence in my life will not only prove to be dangerous but also might end her life in a dash, and I cannot let anything happen to her, yes! I do care about Riya a lot but I don’t think if I could call this love! Or can I?, But in all, I have to send any dangerous feelings of love for me away, to keep her safe, from myself, my past, and my mom, so I responded with a cold and distant tone, “look Riya! I am thankful that you dared to tell me how you truly feel about me, but I am sorry, I do not feel the same way,  and with time you will understand why I said such words to you”.

(The atmosphere remade, Riya veers back in a weak form,” Riya are you okay” I pulled out my hands to aid her but she nudged it away heaving a warning, “don’t you ever touch! Or else you will be sorry”.

(Her eyes teared up as she dashes out of the room, donning a sad look on).

It wounded me to see her in such a manner, thus that was the best way to keep Riya safe, hopefully, the pains she feels will wash away, and finally gets to understand the reason behind my hurtful words to her.

The same day, Elena called me over to her room, she veers the second I took a step in, holding a piece of paper in her hand.

“What’s about to happen?”. I asked in trinket.
