The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 2372

Chapter 2372

"Grant, are you feeling better these days?" Gregory asked, his eyes widening in surprise at Grant's remark.

After all, for nearly two decades, Grant had lived independently in Sentania, never asking for favors and never causing him any trouble.

In fact, during two critical crises for Salvador Corporation, it was Grant who stepped in to save the day from a distance, helping the family navigate through those tough times.

Reflecting on it, Gregory felt a shift in perspective for Grant. Feelings of guilt and admiration swelled in his heart.

"I'm doing much better these days. Otherwise, you wouldn't be seeing me up and about without a wheelchair, would you?"

Grant's smile was gentle but genuine, his tone earnest. "Dad, I know how much Justin means to you and the company. I have no intention of competing with him. I only want to ease your burden and help Salvador Corporation through this difficult time. The bidding for the A5 project is just around the corner, and Justin is someone with a strong sense of responsibility. If he fails to secure A5, he'll surely blame himself."

He continued, "In my heart, I hope he wakes up tonight and returns to work tomorrow as if nothing happened. But if he doesn't recover immediately, I can help stabilize the situation until he's back on his feet. The A5 project is his hard work, and he deserves all the credit; I won't interfere with that."

"Grant, you've always been the child I worried about the least. Now you've grown into such a mature, reliable, and understanding man. Having a son like you truly makes me proud!"

Gregory was deeply moved. His large hand landed heavily on Grant's shoulder, and his eyes turned red.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

"The A5 project is a top priority, especially with the bidding conference coming up next month. If Justin's condition doesn't get better, I may need you to step in and temporarily fill the president's role until he recovers."

"Absolutely not!" A loud voice interrupted Gregory, cutting him off mid-sentence. Gregory froze, caught off guard by the sudden interruption.

Though Grant's smile remained unwavering, his gaze shifted towards the source of the voice, carrying an icy, murderous edge beneath its calm surface.

"Justin's position is his alone! No one else is allowed to touch it!"

Approaching from the far end of the corridor, Nigel, accompanied by his secretary Matt, arrived in a wheelchair. A powerful aura surrounded him as he hurried forward.

"Dad, why didn't you let me know you were coming? I would've come to meet you!" Gregory quickly stood up.

Grant rose with composed grace, bowing slightly. "Grandpa."

Nigel's eyes burned with fury. Leaning on Matt for support, he gradually rose to his feet, his shaking finger aimed squarely at Gregory's stunned expression.

"Justin is only sick, not dead! For years, he's poured his heart and soul into making Salvador Corporation the pinnacle of success in Savrow. Yet now, at the first sign of trouble, you're ready to strip him of everything he's worked so hard to build up?"

"Gregory, are you his real father or just a stepfather? Are you so clueless that you've got mush for brains? What you're doing... Is this how you repay all that Justin has sacrificed? Is this how you honor the memory of his late mother, the woman you claim to have loved more than anyone else?"

"Dad... I..." Gregory's gaze wavered with grief at the mention of Justin's mother, leaving him lost for words.

Grant shot a glance at Gregory, his expression indifferent, before looking away again.

After a moment, Gregory pulled himself together and tried to explain. "Dad, I have no intention of suspending Justin. But he's hospitalized and still unconscious. The company has invested a billion dollars into the A5 project, and the bidding is imminent. The president's seat cannot remain empty at such a critical moment!"

Nigel furiously said, "I already spoke with the doctor on the way here. The doctor said that Justin is only temporarily unconscious - he could be back on his feet as soon as tomorrow!"

"But what if he doesn't wake up?!" Gregory rebutted anxiously.

Nigel shook his head in disbelief. "How could a father say something like that about his own son? Gregory Salvador, listen to yourself—is that even something a human would say?" Nigel's body trembled with anger. "Even if Justin doesn't wake up right away, you're the chairman. You can act on his behalf! As for the A5 project, I can personally make the decisions. There's no need to let anyone else take his place at such a critical moment. If Justin wakes up and learns of this, how heartbroken do you think he'll be?!"

Gregory's face flushed with embarrassment and then drained of color. He let out an exasperated sigh, clearly ridden with regret.
