The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 1989

Chapter 1989

In Drew's life, where he was always teetering on the edge of danger, he had neither the time nor energy for a real romance, let alone any romantic gestures.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

Tonight, the fireworks were beautiful. He owed that to Ryan. But with no one to share the view, no matter how dazzling the display, it would lose its insignificance.

So, uncontrollably, he thought of Yvonne. Against all odds, driven by a mysterious force, he came here despite the enormous risk.

"You must have seen it too." Drew's sharp, bright eyes were fixed on the illuminated Pivotage as he murmured, "Do you feel lonely watching this alone? I feel very lonely,"

The news widely reported Carrie and Ryan's marriage.

Nigel was in an excellent mood as he scrolled through his phone. He even had two extra servings of pasta for dinner.

Though he understood that Carrie was still recovering and conditions were not ideal, as the doting grandfather of his favorite granddaughter, he naturally wished for her to become the esteemed matron of the Hoffman family.

After all, their family was renowned and respected, emphasizing extravagance and tradition.

Justin and Bella stayed with Grandpa Nigel after dinner and chatted happily with him, envisioning Ryan and Carrie's future happiness.

"Hey! Matt! Bring out the things I prepared!" Nigel said with a broad smile, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.

Soon, Matt came over with a smile and handed a document to Nigel.

Nigel placed the document in front of the young couple. "Here, take a look at this list of gifts I prepared for Carrie."

Justin picked up the document and started reading it, while Bella, sitting close to him, curiously leaned in, their heads almost touching.

The list clearly detailed the properties, land, shops, luxury cars, private jets, and even a small portion of shares in the Salvador Corporation that Grandpa Nigel was giving to Carrie.

The most valuable among this list was the shares. With the Salvador Corporation doing so well, Carrie would enjoy substantial annual dividends even if she did nothing!

"Wow... Carrie is going to become a little rich lady!" Bella licked her lips enviously. "If I ever go broke, I'll just freeload off of Mrs. Hoffman!"

"With me around, how could you ever go broke?" Justin smiled indulgently, kissing her smooth forehead. "I won't let you suffer, even if it means I have to beg on the streets."

Bella found his words silly, but her face still turned red as she shyly leaned against his shoulder.

"Who said you'd have to beg... It makes me sound so spoiled."

Seeing the sweet and loving couple, Nigel could not help but laugh heartily. "Haha! Even if my grandson had to beg on the streets, he would become the leader of the beggars, and Bella, you would still be the most esteemed lady!"

Justin frowned and laughed. “Grandpa, you really think highly of me."

"Haha... Bella, you don't need to envy Carrie. If you saw the gift list I prepared for Justin, all the women in Savrow would be jealous of you!" Nigel winked repeatedly at Justin.

Justin understood, sitting upright. His heart was pounding, and his handsome face was slightly flushed." Grandpa..."

Bella's heart trembled. Her face turned red, and she was unsure of what to say.

That was when her phone rang. It was Ralph calling.

"Grandpa Nigel, I need to take this call."

Bella left the living room and walked into the quiet hallway.

"Ralph, what's wrong?"

"Bella, I saw Ian at the police station. What's going on?!" Ralph's voice was filled with urgency.

"Police station? What happened?" Bella was utterly shocked.

"He's suspected of drug trafficking and was arrested by the police on the spot!"
