The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 1907

Liam still managed to laugh. “However, some people might not even be able to hold on any longer. My dear nephew, are you still not going to choose?”

Inside the glass tank, the water had risen to Carrie’s chest.

“Mr. Hoffman!” Yasmin called out, trembling.

Their intense gazes met, and in that moment, time and space seemed to freeze, rendering all else void.

—”Yasmin, follow me from now on.”

—”Mr. Hoffman, I will follow you through thick and thin.”

Yasmin looked at Ryan with tears in her eyes, smiling gently.

In her mind, the reckless and heart-stirring young man she first met merged with the extraordinary man standing before her.

“I don’t want you to hesitate. From now on, no matter what happens, you must always, without hesitation, choose Young Madam.” Yasmin’s tearful eyes were full of deep affection and sincerity. Her gentle words composed a grand and touching farewell. “You and Young Madam must always be happy.”

“No...!”

In a split second, Ryan realized what was happening, and his heart stopped.

Yasmin suddenly turned and tackled Lewis to the ground!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Three gunshots rang out, followed by a man’s terrified scream.

Two figures, entwined, tumbled through the air and fell heavily into the dry swimming pool.

At the same time, the water level inside the glass tank stopped rising.

Ryan’s legs nearly gave way under his trembling body. He jumped into the empty pool, cradling Yasmin’s limp, blood-soaked body in his arms.

"Yasmin... Yasmin..." He wept uncontrollably, calling her name over and over.

"Mr. Hoffman, I am here." But he could no longer hear her response.

"Ah, what a touching display of loyalty. I am truly moved." Liam sighed mockingly. "Ryan, you see, your uncle is still a man of his word. When I say two for one, I mean two for one, no exceptions..."

Before he could finish his smug remark, Ryan, emerging from his profound grief, picked up Lewis’s fallen gun and fired continuously at him.

One bullet hit Liam’s thigh, and another shot disarmed him.

Liam, kneeling in pain, gritted his teeth. As he reached for his gun, Ryan quickly leaped onto the high platform, pinned him down, and shot him in the left shoulder.

With only one bullet left, he pressed the gun against Liam’s forehead.

But then, the glass tank started operating again, and the water level continued to rise, submerging the girl’s neck.

"Stop it... Make it stop!" Ryan screamed, on the verge of breaking down.

"It cannot... be stopped... from the beginning, I never intended to stop it... I was just... Playing with you."

Liam panted heavily, laughing wickedly. "I never planned to live. I just wanted to take you and the one you love with me to the grave. But... Your little maid did not die in vain. If it weren’t for her delaying a bit, that Salvador girl would have been dead... Minutes ago..."

At that moment, the glass tank was full.

The unconscious Carrie floated in the water, her delicate face pale and sickly, her dark hair swirling like seaweed. It was a breathtaking sight.

Ryan took the gun and screamed as he shot at the glass tank.

The magazine was empty, and the glass remained intact.

At that instant, Liam struggled up and aimed his gun at the back of Ryan’s head.

"Go reunite with your grandfather and father... You little bastard!"
