The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 1831

Chapter 1831

Bethany's unbearable sarcasm drained all the color from Carrie's face, and her frail figure trembled even harder.

She immediately shut her eyes tight, squeezing the teddy so much it changed shape. This was the only way she could force herself not to recall those terrifying memories.

"Even if you can't marry into the Hoffman family, you can still choose to become Mayor Solloway's daughter-in-law. Let me congratulate you in advance."

Bethany tidied her hair in that flirtatious, vulgar manner she inherited from Shannon. "However, I don't have a gift for you."

"If you say another word, I'll make sure your right ear is completely deaf." Justin's eyebrows furrowed with anger, and his dark eyes were burning with rage.

"I can't even speak the truth now? She's about to marry into the Solloway family. It's useless even if you glare at me here!"

The man was like a tiger, approaching Bethany step by step.

"Ah! Help me! Dad! Save me! Justin is about to kill me!" Bethany made a scene, screaming and yelling.

"Enough! What are you fighting about?!"

Gregory stood halfway down the stairs, angrily glaring at the two people confronting each other, his face stern.

"Dad! Justin wants to hit me again... He only knows how to hit women!"

Bethany cried out, "He might as well beat me to death!"

"Enough!"

Gregory frowned deeply, only feeling his head throb from the noise. "Paul, send her to the airport immediately!"

"Yes, Chairman Salvador."

Paul glanced at Bethany coldly. "Please."

Bethany gritted her teeth viciously as she struggled to drag her heavy luggage out of the door.

Gregory still felt a twinge of pity as he ordered, with a stern face, "Help Ms. Bethany with her suitcase."

"Yes." Paul could only follow orders, lifting the suitcase and heading out.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Thank you, Dad! Goodbye!" Bethany put on a pitiful act and said goodbye to Gregory, secretly harboring a glimmer of hope.

Her father still had a bit of affection for her, so she could still make a comeback!

After Bethany left, Justin suppressed the surging anger in his chest and walked to Gregory with heavy steps.

"Bethany just said that the Solloway family came to propose marriage. Is it true?"

Gregory looked down at him. "Of course."

Justin's brows furrowed. "Mayor Solloway's son wants to marry Carrie? Did you agree?"

"It's a suitable match. The Solloways have considerable influence in the political world, and I've seen his son before. He was fine-looking and had excellent character. Ha, he's much better than Ryan Hoffman."

Gregory's thin lips, like Justin's, curled up sharply, carrying a hint of provocation. "At the very least, Jason does not have a playboy reputation for treating women like clothes. Mayor Solloway and his wife don't mind Carrie's illness, and they are willing to accept her as their daughter-in-law. Why wouldn't I agree to such a good marriage prospect?"

Carrie hid behind Justin timidly, burying her pale face covered with sweat. Her reddened eyes gradually teared up.

When they were in school, Jason did not beat her or curse at her as Zoe did. However, the mental trauma he cast on her was more tormenting than the physical torture.

Carrie could still remember that whenever Zoe's group bullied her, Jason would be standing guard or secretly smirking at her with that weird intention.

One summer, the second year of junior high, the school issued new summer uniforms.

Out of jealousy that Carrie looked better than her, Zoe dragged her into the sports equipment room and poured a bucket of dirty mop water on her.

Zoe only left with satisfaction after ruining Carrie's new uniform.
