The others chimed in. "Mister Shaun, since Melody has said so, why don't you have another drink? If you do, the movie will definitely do well at the box office."

"Oh please, the movie will do well at the box office even if I don't drink. Stop saying such stupid things," Shaun replied firmly.

Shaun genuinely did not want to drink with Melody as it would spell trouble for him if Lucas were to see her drunk when he picked her up. He was astute, and he had to be. Otherwise, he could not have survived in the entertainment industry for so long.

Only the young rookies dared to tease Melody, but it was fine. After all, they had worked together for so long, and naturally, they had developed a sort of closeness with each other. Moreover, they were not bad people; their intentions were good. Lucas understood this, too.

The others also wanted to have a few more drinks with Melody, but after drinking with Shaun, she only took a sip when drinking with others. She knew her alcohol tolerance was not very high.

Most importantly, she was drinking outside, and Lucas would definitely fetch her later. Although he did not say it explicitly. He did not need to, as the more time she spent with him, the better she came to know what he was thinking at any moment.

Lucas might appear aloof on the surface, but deep down, he was the type to get jealous very easily. "Why would you think like that? I just feel it's inappropriate for me to be the only one bringing a guest when nobody else is. Besides, we'll have plenty of time to dine together in the future, so why make everyone uncomfortable at this celebration? It's just one meal. Plus, won't it be better for us to have some alone time together next time?"
