Chapter 237 Destiny Will Tease People
Chapter 237 Destiny Will Tease People
The bus stop outside the gate of hospital is particularly crowded. Nina Morrison is stuck in the middle of
the crowd and fails to get on for several times.
Forget it, she decides to walk and organizes her chaotic thoughts.
Nina Morrison walks slowly along the sidewalk, feeling weak and humiliated.
What does Lucien Gray mean? Why does she ask for the insult? Why can’t she resist his temptation?
Is Nelson really her son? If he is, can she strive for the custody of him? It would be the happiest thing in
the world to see Nelson every day and hear his sweet voice calling her “mom”.
“Hey! What’s going on! What are you doing?” A sudden harsh reproach interrupts her thoughts.
Looking up surprisingly, Nina Morrison finds a tall man holding a camera on his shoulder. There is a
man in black with his back to her surrounded by a crowd of government officials.
Oh, no! She accidentally breaks into the street interview!
“Sorry, sorry, I didn't notice!” Nina Morrison apologizes at once and moves aside to avoid the camera.
The man in black suddenly turns. His amber eyes fix on Nina Morrison’s.
“Nina!” “Troy!”
They two cry out loudly simultaneously. Their eyes meet and they freeze for a while.
Nina Morrison looks at Troy Roger and feels a pain in her heart. The time of five years has brought him
a layer of vicissitudes, but his gentle temperament is polished more outstanding. He is mild and gentle
just as before.
The surrounded officers look at each other, wondering who this woman is. Her appearance makes
Dean Williams’s lips quiver lightly.
“Nina, where have you been?” Troy Roger asks this question the second he opens his mouth. His voice
can’t help shaking. It is the pain and heartbreaking he has suffered.
He has secretly tried to find her many times in the last five years, but he has never heard from her.
When he gives up hope and makes up his mind to settle down with Abby Lewis, she appears in his
sight again.
Nina Morrison stares at Troy Roger’s face deeply. Her heart is filled with the light joy of seeing an old
friend, “I’ve gone to America. I just get back.”
“That’s all for today’s interview. Thanks for today!” Troy Roger tells the officers gently with flat but
commanding tone.
The crowd scatter away. There are only Troy Roger and Nina Morrison standing beside the busy street.
“Are you married?” “Are you married?”
They both speak at the same time again.
Familiar memories return. Nina Morrison curves her eyes and gives Troy Roger a bright smile. Nothing
seems changed. He is still the gentle Troy. Looking at his face give her a warm feeling.
“I’m still single.” Nina Morrison follows the steps of Troy Roger naturally.
Troy Roger turns to look at her, “I just got married to Abby three months ago.” Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
Nina Morrison’s heart bets slightly, “Wasn’t Abby pregnant when you got engaged five years ago?”
She asks implicitly, but Troy Roger understands at once, “My son is almost five years old. But Abby and
I got married officially three months ago.”
He looks over his shoulder for her eyes. Their eyes flash away like being shock by electricity as long as
their eyes meet.
He is no longer qualified. He has waited her for five years, and doesn’t want to marry Abby Lewis.
Finally he gives up and marries Abby. But just after three months, she shows up.
Fate sometimes plays tricks on people.
The atmosphere suddenly becomes heavy. Somehow Nina Morrison feels guilty, she tries to find a
topic casually, “I hear they call you dean? You can’t be the dean of the hospital, can you?” She points
to the towering building of the nearby hospital.
She makes Troy Roger laugh, “Of course not. I am the President of the court in Albany. Today I come
to Cagliari for research. And I met you.”
He has moved to Albany. No wonder she hasn’t seen any news about him for so long.
Nina Morrison drops her eyes. The sadness in his words is so obvious, which makes her sad.
“Nina, are you free now? Shall we sit in the teahouse for a while? What a coincidence today.” Troy
Roger smiles and asks for her advice. His gentle words make her comfortable like bathing in the spring
wind.
Nina Morrison nods, “All right.”
She is the host, and she should treat.
They walk into the teahouse and ask each other about their lives over the past five years. Nina
Morrison gives a brief description of her life in US and Troy Roger feels sorry and sympathetic for her
life.
As a girl, she spends five years in US depending on $2,000 dollars, and achieves two degrees. The
hardships and sorrows are self-evident.
“Nina, you have a rough time!” Troy Roger looks at her with tenderness and care in his eyes.
Nina Morrison is a little uncomfortable and smiles shyly, “Many of my classmates live a life like this. The
work-study life is not that hard.”
At the corner of the teahouse, two hostile men aim the camera at Troy Roger and Nina Morrison and
press the shutter.
