The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 565

Chapter 565

Two figures entangled together in the dim light of the room. The camera must have been mounted on the wall, because its angle left much to the imagination, casting shadows. and secrets in its wake.

A blush crept across Emma’s cheeks, because this was… the video from her last night with Hughes.

With gritted teeth, she snapped the laptop shut!

Just as she was about to ring Hughes, his call preemptively buzzed through. His voice, deep and raspy, teased through the line, “Enjoying the show?”

“You! Pervert!!” Emma exhaled sharply, struggling to keep her temper in check. “Mr. Hughes, seems like you’ve sent the wrong video.”

“Really?” Hughes feigned surprise. “Oh, my bad. I’ll send the right one now. I’ve got a ton of videos in my inbox, so I need to sift through them. Hold on, will you?”

Emma didn’t end the call. She couldn’t risk Hughes sending her another unsolicited video.

She had things to deal with, so she turned on the computer and put her cell phone on speaker, setting it aside. After a brief silence, she asked, “Mr. Hughes, found it yet?”

Hughes played along, “Just a sec, still looking.” He was feeling mischievous, wanting to tease her a bit more. Nonchalantly, he clicked on another clip and held it up to his phone.

As Emma booted up her computer, she was greeted by the amplified sounds of moans and crude banter from her phone’s speaker.

Her breathing stilled. “Mr. Hughes, you really do have a lot of free time.”Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

Hughes chuckled, “I’m searching for your video, aren’t I? With so many to choose from, it’s only natural I preview a few.”

Emma, growing impatient, retorted, “When you find it, send it to me.”

“Lauren, I’m doing you a favor here. Are you really going to be this heartless?”

His use of the name Lauren took her aback. It had been ages since anyone had called her by that name.

His voice, clear and deep, continued, “Lauren, I’ve been sleeping until now because of you. I just rolled out of bed and here I am, searching for your video. You really don’t care about me.”

Emma responded coolly, “What’s that got to do with me?”

“It’s got everything to do with you. If you hadn’t kept me up so late, I wouldn’t have had to make amends by playing cards all night with my friends.”

Emma sighed, “Then please, Mr. Hughes, just find it. I’m in a hurry.”

“I am looking, aren’t I? Tell me, is this the one?” As he spoke, Hughes turned up the volume on another video.

Emma quickly turned down the speaker, and her cheeks were flaming once more. She knew it. Hughes was nothing but trouble!

She shut her eyes tight. “That’s not it…”

After a moment, another clip played. The voice of a woman poured through the speaker. Emma gritted her teeth. “Not that one either.”

“Alright, next one.”

As the voices played on, Emma’s face turned crimson, and her heart was racing. She knew Hughes was doing this on purpose. Taking a deep breath, she said, “That’s not it either.”

“Not this one?” Hughes asked, with a hint of amusement in his voice.

Emma inwardly cursed him. “No!”

“Oh, this is from last night, us two… Lauren, has anyone ever told you that you have beautiful eyes?”

Emma replied flatly, “No.”

Throughout her life, she had received compliments on her physique, but rarely on anything else. She never saw the advantage in her curvaceous figure. In middle school, it had nearly led to an assault. To her, an attractive body was more a source of trouble than pride. And as for her looks, no one had ever taken much notice.
