Raven Pov

I was angry and crying. Dave was just consoling me, only for that idiot to insult me. I am so done with him. I can’t even believe I was thinking of forgiving him and trying to work out our issues.

Then I got a call. Checking the caller id, I was shocked. It was from the people who practically disowned me. I don’t even want to pick their call. I’m so mad right now, and picking this call will just add fuel to my raging fire.

I need to talk to Amanda right now so I left. I know Ethan will bring Blue home when she is ready to come.

I called my friend and we met up. I told her what happened and she just looked at me and said, “Let it out”. Immediately I started bawling my eyes out till they felt dry like the Sahara desert.

“I loved him so much. Why does he like hurting me?”, I started dryly, “You need to see the way he was talking to me, Maddy. I’m so angry and I guess I was too hopeful, I thought we could work things out. I guess I was wrong” I finished with a little hiccup.

“Oh, honey. Don’t give up on him. I know you are angry and I’m sure he feels bad for what he said”, she said. 

“Why do you keep supporting him?” I let out in frustration.

“I’m not Raven. Look, things will be alright. Just don’t be mad at him. But I can go there and break his car if you want”, I started smiling. 

She knows when to make me happy when I am sad. I’m glad I found a best friend in her.

So I told her about the call and showed her my parents text messages saying they want to have a family get together with their children.

“Now they consider me as their child. They are trying to contact me as if they never even disowned me in the first place!” I spoke in exasperation.

“You do know you have to forgive them right? And you must attend this get together”, Madison asked. 

I looked at her as if she grew 2 heads. “Are you crazy! After what they did to me? No way, I’m not going anywhere” I stated firmly.

“Come on Raven. They are your family, you have to talk to them, you can’t stay mad at them forever. You know everything happens for a reason, you need to let go of that anger and forgive them alright?”, she tried convincing me. 

“I guess you are right”, I sighed.

“Babes I’m always right,” she said cockily, “Now call them back or send a text message telling them you will be there for dinner. Now go clean yourself up. I will call Ethan to bring Blue to my place.”, she said in one breath. 

“Alright thanks and how did you get Ethan’s number?”, I asked quizzically.

She just smirked and winked at me saying, “I have my ways”. With that said we both departed in our ways.

Here I am at my parents house, the last place I wanted to be, but I think I needed this. We all need this. I knocked and my sister opened the door. I am glad she came cause I’m gonna need all the support right now. We sat down and ate after that the apology started.

“Raven, we are so sorry for what we did dear! Please find a place in your heart to forgive us!”, mom said.

I just looked at them and said, “You”, I pointed at my brother, “you slapped me and sent me out after all the promises you made to me about always being there for me and protecting me”.

“As my mother and father called me names and even disowned me and you want my forgiveness after everything you did to me you did not even trust or believed your blood why should I even forgive you”, I continued.

My mom knelt crying. “I know we hurt you, sweetie”, I can’t remember the last time she called me that. “We are so sorry, please forgive us, ” she said, bowing her head. 

I just can’t watch my mother kneel and beg me, making me look like a bad person. I held her hand. “Please get up, mama,” I said, pulling her up and hugging her. 

We all started crying but what can I do? I need to forgive them but it will take a lot of time to forget what they did to me so I just told them, “I forgive you, after all, you are my family”.

They just cried more and smiled at me and thanked me then they introduced me to my brother’s wife. She’s so beautiful and heavily pregnant, it’s their first child. She seemed delightful and welcoming. 

They asked my daughter if they could see her so that we could have dinner again, and I could come with her.

Now they are pushing their luck!

I told them I needed time to think about any family bonding. Right now I just want to go home to my daughter, and so I left.

Ethan Pov

I later got a call from Amanda telling me to drop Blue at her place that Raven went to dinner with her family. I went to the club to see my friends and drink. I needed to drink so I told them everything that happened.

“Dude, I can’t believe you have a child but what you did to Raven was bad. You need to work on your anger issue and try doing little things to show her you still care for her and ask for forgiveness, roll on the floor if you have to!” my friend said dramatically. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

I just hope she finds it in herself to forgive me. 

I went over the next day with chocolate and flowers to apologise. Raven opened the door and looked at what I was holding. 

she won’t be able to resist it. It’s her favourite chocolate and a card I wrote: ”’ I’m sorry my love. Please forgive me. <3'''  She took the chocolate and told me to come in. We sat down and I started apologising.  "I'm sorry about what I said yesterday, I didn't mean that, I guess I was jealous. I-i still have feelings for you Raven", I confessed. "Why would you be jealous of Dave? The guy, he's gay, and I didn't know you still had feelings for me I thought you moved on" she said. "How can I move on? You were my everything and you still are. I know I hurt you, my love, and I'm very sorry. No word could describe how sorry I am and I know it's gonna take a lot of time for you to forgive me. I just want you to know that I still love you. I always will and I will do anything for you to forgive me. I'm so-" before I could finish my rambling, she did the impossible, the unimaginable!  Raven kissed me! She kissed me! Oh my God!
