Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 329

Chapter 329

Bailey shot Artemis a look.

“Are you lying to me?”

Artemis glared at her. “You heartless woman! I remember everything about you, including the people

you care about. I know you'll ask about Victoria's whereabouts sooner or later, so I ran a check on her.

Why would I lie to you?”

Bailey didn't know how to respond.

Warmth filled her heart. He does remember everything about me, but I can't repay his heartfelt feelings.

“All right, all right. I was wrong.”

Artemis gazed at her looking up at him in an integrating manner and snatched the keys in her hand.

After he unlocked the door, he pushed her into the living room and shut the door.

The second the door closed, he pressed his lips against hers.

They slowly inched back toward the couch as they kissed fervently.

At that moment, all their feelings poured into their kiss like water rushing out of the dam.

The sound of fabric tearing cut through the air.

Following that was the sound of skin hitting skin.

All the buttons on Bailey's shirt were ripped off and fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

Seeing Artemis kissing her neck ardently, Bailey closed her eyes and said, “Let's go to the bedroom.”

Those five words gave him her approval.

Artemis found his last shred of sanity in the madness. He moved away from the curve of her neck and

asked, “Are you giving yourself to me willingly?”

Bailey tightened her grip on his shirt as a fierce battle took place in her heart. She hesitated.

I am not averse to having sex with him, but our identities are making things awkward.

“Ah!”

Bailey instinctively let out a scream when Artemis lifted her into his arms. His abrupt action pulled her

out of her struggle, and she let him carry her to the bedroom.

The distance from the living room to the bedroom wasn't far, but many thoughts crossed her mind.

We feel the same toward each other. Alas, fate is not on our side. We can't escape if destiny decides to

toy with us. All we can do is indulge ourselves momentarily by giving in to our feelings in this lifetime. I

don't think I'll fall for any other man for the rest of my life. If I'm leaving, I want to leave something

behind. At least, I've lived up to this relationship.

Artemis placed her gently on the bed and loomed over her.

Bailey looked up at the luxurious crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Her lips curved into a faint

smile.

An untouchable taboo, right? Will the heavens strike me with a lightning bolt if I touch it?

Suddenly, a ringing sounded in the bedroom, slicing through their haze of lust.

Artemis ignored the ringing and continued what he was doing.

Anyone who can step on the brakes at such a moment is impressive. I know I can't. I'm taking this

woman today.

The ringing continued and grew louder, dampening the mood as it reverberated across the bedroom.

The loud ringing pulled Bailey out of her daze. She shoved Artemis aside and said, “It's my phone.

Bring it here. If it's from the kids—”

Before she could finish, Artemis had already reached into the pile of clothing on the floor and fished for

her phone.

His expression darkened when he caught the name flashing on the screen.

It was from Edmund.

I guess that guy is calling to ask when Bailey is leaving Hallsbay. Perfect. Calling at this hour to snatch

my woman. Wonderful.

Bailey's expression froze when she saw the caller ID. She gave Artemis a pitiful look and pleaded,

“Don't take it.”

If he picks up the call at this moment, it'll be a huge blow to Edmund if he hears anything.

Artemis' lips quirked up into a cold grin.

He's not a nice guy. Is there a reason why I need to be gentlemanly toward him?

He ignored her plea and slid his finger across the screen to answer the call. He tapped on the hands-

free button and tossed the phone away.

The next second, he leaned down and kissed her soft lumps.

This b*stard!

An urge to chew Artemis to his death surged within Bailey.

Edmund is his cousin. How can he be so shameless?

“Hello, Bay?”

Edmund's gentle voice came from the speaker.

A sliver of guilt rose in Bailey's heart.

Six years of companionship and waiting, and what have I repaid him with?

Tears filled her eyes, clouding her vision. With a hoarse voice, she said, “E-Edmund, now isn't a

convenient time. Can you call me back after—ah!”

A sharp pain came from her neck, causing her to gasp in surprise. This crazy dog actually bit me!

Hearing that something was wrong, Edmund asked urgently, “Bay, what's wrong? Did you get into

some trouble?”

Bailey shot Artemis a death glare. “I-It's nothing. I accidentally stubbed my toe against the table leg. I'm

in the middle of something urgent now; I'll call you back later,” she said, her voice trembling slightly.

“All right. I'll talk to you later.”

Relief washed over her at Edmund's consideration. He would never force her to explain her situation to

him.

Bailey's head cleared slightly after the phone was hung up.

I was too wild and out of control earlier. Thank goodness for Edmund's call. He pulled me back before I

can sin. No! We can't do this.

“Artemis, you're making me feel dirty.”

That sentence was like a wet blanket over Artemis' passion. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
