Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 327

Chapter 327

Jason did not answer her question and instead asked, “Could I reveal your identity to them?”

“By all means. I've not done anything to hurt anyone with that identity, nor am I afraid of you revealing it

to everyone.”

Of course, Bailey had not agreed to the disclosure of her identity as Spook to win the admiration of

anyone.

She was hoping that the higher-ups in Chanaea would not pursue her for hacking into the system of the

country's national research institute following the revelation and the honor that she had brought upon

Chanaea for winning the competition.

Bailey was looking to hit two birds with a stone.

The higher-ups were hunting Spook down. If one day she was indeed captured by the state, Bailey

knew she might not make it out of prison, not especially if she continued to keep her identity as Spook

a secret.

“I believe everyone is curious why I openly admit to plagiarizing Ms. Jefferson's code. This has its roots

all the way back when I was still working on the 4G source code. I hit a bottleneck back then, and I saw

no way out. My progress came to a complete halt at seventy percent. I think everyone here knows for a

fact that the famous and mysterious number one hacker, Spook, completed the remaining code for

me.”

The convention center fell into dead silence once again.

The bizarre silence hung in the air for a few seconds and was finally broken by someone shouting, “My

goodness! Is he trying to tell us that Bailey Jefferson is the number one hacker, Spook?”

Heated discussions among the audience ensued, and the convention center went into an uproar once

again.

Even the representative of the International Network Society appeared to be confounded as well.

“So you're the number one hacker, Spook, who completed the remaining thirty percent of the 4G code.

What a pleasure to finally meet you, Ms. Jefferson!” the man said to Bailey.

“The pleasure is all mine,” Bailey said.

Then, she turned to the audience and continued jokingly, “Don't you guys dare to offend me now that

you know I'm Spook. Otherwise, you can always assume that it's me who leaked your naked photos on

the internet when your phone or computer gets hacked.”

Laughter erupted in the convention center right then.

Bailey turned back to the man from the International Network Society and said, “This code will bring

benefits to humanity in the coming decade. However, I am a Chanaean. So, I think this code can only

remain in Chanaea for the time being. Does the International Network Society have any opinion on

this?”

A hint of hesitation fleeted across the man's eyes. He seemed reluctant to agree to Bailey's request.

However, he decided to suppress his brimming greed after a moment of contemplation.

He had heard that the eldest son of the most prominent family in Chanaea, the Fletcher family, had

come to Hallsbay.

The latter had brought along an army. If they decided to take the 5G source code with them, he would

be long gone before he could leave Hallsbay.

“N-No, of course not. This is your work, Ms. Jefferson. You have the final say. We look forward to

working together with Chanaea.”

“Sure.”

After the competition was over, Bailey kept a low profile and left the convention center.

In the suite of a hotel room, a loud slap reverberated across the room.

Scarlett cupped the left side of her face and widened her eyes incredulously at Raiden. “Raiden, you hit

me. You really hit me,” she said in a quavering voice. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.

Raiden was trembling from the fury burning in his chest. He exuded a murderous aura and looked

intimidating.

“If not for Bailey showing mercy, do you know where you would be now?” Raiden berated. “The prison!”

Scarlett pursed her lips and looked at him with eyes full of tears. In a choked voice, she said, “You're

being delusional, Raiden. Who would dare to put me, a member of the powerful Fletcher family, in

prison?”

Raiden could not help but chuckle in derision as he looked at his spoiled sister.

“The powerful Fletcher family? Who would dare to put you in prison? How arrogant of you! Even Father

wouldn't dare say that. Do you know how f*cking important this 5G technology is to Chanaea? It almost

went into another country's hands because of your stupidity! Do you think you can get away if Bailey

insists on getting back at you?”

Raiden was infuriated by his sister's hubris.

Scarlett's ignorance would spell doom for the Fletcher family one day.

She bawled, “You're siding with Bailey! Otherwise, why did you tell her I copied the code on your

computer? If you'd turned a blind eye, she would be the one who's in jail right now. Raiden, why are

you even scolding me for a b*tch who's birthed a child out of wedlock? You—”

Slap!

Another loud slap echoed in the suite.

Raiden slapped her again and chided, “How are you still oblivious to what you've done? You're really

beyond salvation. You will get back to the capital today and stay at home. You're forbidden from going

anywhere. I will go to the Xuereb residence and cancel the marriage between you and Justin. I guess

you'll only realize the gravity of your actions then.”

“No.” Scarlett looked daggers at Raiden. “Justin has agreed to marry me. He has to marry me. Only my

bone marrow can save that illegitimate child of his. I can surely marry into the Xuereb family!”

Veins popped on Raiden's forehead when he heard Scarlett. He went silent for a moment before he

said in a cold voice, “Do you think Veronique has found another matching bone marrow? No. She's

taken Justin's sperm for in-vitro fertilization, and they will have another child together. Justin will be a

father again, and again, you're not the mother of his child.”

Scarlett staggered a few steps back and slumped back into the couch as she widened her eyes at

Raiden.

The news was a much harder pill to swallow than when Raiden had told her he was going to cancel her

engagement with Justin.

How is this happening again? Why does that b*tch get to birth yet another of Justin's son?

“Raiden, you're lying, right? You want me to give up on Justin. That's why you came up with this absurd

lie.”

Raiden gave her a cold, hard stare. “I suggested that. I thought by getting Ms. Revelle out of the

picture, you'll settle down with Justin for good. But I was wrong. You targeted Bailey because you

wanted to hurt Veronique, right? It seemed that getting rid of Ms. Revelle was not good enough. Since

that's the case, you better get the hell back to the capital and consider your engagement with Justin off

the table. I don't want to witness my own sister going crazy and be blinded by her own jealousy.”

Scarlett panicked.

She slid down from the couch and groveled at her brother's feet. “I will stop. Please, Raiden. Don't

send me back home. I don't want to cancel the engagement. I promise you. I will not hurt anyone. As

long as Justin is willing to marry me, I will let Veronique and her son live. Please, I beg you.”

Raiden shrugged her off.

“It's too late. Bailey has gone to look for Justin. She will tell him the plan of getting his sperm for the

IVF, and Justin will go overseas to meet up with Veronique and her son.”

Scarlett slumped to the floor in despair.

“Bailey Jefferson...”

Scarlett's eyes glinted with a thirst for blood.

Raiden was disappointed yet again when he noticed the look in her eyes.

I've said so much, yet she didn't listen to a word. Looks like I'll have to take this the hard way.
