Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 306

Chapter 306

Later that night, the annual Oscars event was being held at Century Square.

Bailey didn't want to attend it, but she knew Artemis wouldn't go without her.

As such, she had no choice but to give in and attend the event against her will.

The Oscars was regarded as the grandest event in the entertainment industry. Naturally, the guests

attending it were all big shots on an international scale.

After exiting the parking lot, Bailey went straight to the event venue and found a rather quiet spot in the

corner.

She had just taken her seat when she heard a familiar female voice saying, “Oh, my! If it isn't

Fashionista's favorite star, Rainie! What's the matter? The organizers didn't get you a VIP seat?”

“Haha! That's a good one, Ms. Rose! A pretentious nobody like her isn't even worthy of being your

assistant! There's no way she'd be given a VIP seat!”

“Exactly! You two are leagues apart! So what if Fashionista spent most of its resources on her? She's a

lost cause! She can't even win the Best Supporting Actress award, let alone the Best Actress award!

Honestly, it's no surprise why Mr. Zielinski would want to kick her out. She's a worthless piece of crap,

so there's no point in keeping her around anyway!”

Everyone burst out laughing after hearing that.

Rainie?

Bailey arched an eyebrow in amusement.

Didn't Sylvester swallow his pride and ask Ratemis to help ensure she gets the Best Actress award?

Does she have a grudge against Rose? Heh, I suppose a little competition is unavoidable when you're

in the same industry. With someone that powerful backing her up, Rainie might just be able to win this

Best Actress award. I bet Rose would be devastated if she lost to Rainie! There's no way a prideful and

arrogant woman like her would be able to accept such defeat, but she won't have a choice. A few

moments later, she's about to watch Rainie, whom she looks down upon, go on stage to receive the

Best Actress award! This is probably the best form of punishment for an arrogant person like her!

Rainie slowly stood up, grabbed her wine glass, and prepared to walk away without saying anything in

response.

However, Rose wasn't done with her yet. She quickly motioned at her lackeys, prompting them to step

forward and block Rainie's path.

“What's the matter? Did we strike a nerve? Are you feeling so humiliated that you can't take it

anymore? Hmph! I'm surprised a mere piece of trash like you would have the audacity to compete for

the Best Actress award! What a joke! Do you think you're on the same level as me just because you're

working for a subsidiary of LG Corporation? You're nothing! You have no right to compete with me!”

Rose yelled.

“That's right! Ms. Rose has won the Best Actress award three times in a row! How dare a mere nobody

like you show up at the Oscars?”

“I say we tear up that face of hers and put her in her place! That way, she won't cause Ms. Rose any

more problems in the future! Rainie, this is what you get for coveting the Best Actress award! Do you

really think you can become the female lead for “Time Warp”? Why don't you look at yourself in the

mirror, huh? That role is clearly meant for someone as elegant and beautiful as Ms. Rose!”

Rainie pursed her lips and clenched her fists as she glared at the woman standing on Rose's left.

“Stella, we're both working for Fashionista, so that makes us colleagues. How could you team up with

an outsider to bully me?”

A look of hatred flashed past Stella Wagner's eyes when she heard that.

If there was one person she hated the most in the entertainment industry, it was none other than

Rainie.

All I could do was watch as this woman hogged all of Fashionista's resources, and she had the

audacity to call me her colleague. Does her shamelessness know no bounds?

“Oh, I'm not just going to bully you. I'm going to burn that face of yours!” Stella yelled as she grabbed a

hot cup of coffee from the table.

Right as she was about to splash it all over Rainie's face, the cup was knocked out of her hand,

causing her to yelp in surprise.

“Come on. You're all public figures. Please don't do something as barbaric as splashing hot coffee on

others. There are journalists everywhere. You wouldn't want them getting a picture of you doing this,

right, Ms. Wagner?” Bailey said as she smacked Stella's hand aside.

Having been caught off guard, Stella lost her balance and crashed into Rose.

Rose had yet to fully recover from her injuries after Bailey beat her up two days ago. As such, the two

of them fell to the floor, with Stella landing on top of Rose.

“Get off me, Stella!” Rose screamed furiously.

Stella quickly scrambled to her feet and apologized in a trembling voice, “I-I'm sorry, Ms. Rose! I didn't

mean to! I-It was her! She pushed me into you!”

After being helped to her feet, Rose slapped Stella across the face and glared viciously at Bailey. “You

again? I'll teach you a lesson—”

Smack!

Bailey cut her off with a swift slap on the cheek.

Rose was fuming as she rubbed her stinging cheek. “H-How dare you to hit me?”

“I couldn't help it. You were being way too foul. It seems you haven't learned your lesson, so I'll keep

hitting you until you do,” Bailey replied nonchalantly.

Rose was trembling all over with rage, but there was nothing she could do about it.

What am I supposed to do? The police are clearly on her side, and she is well-trained in self-defense.

Bailey raised her arm and waved it in front of Rose as she continued, “Well? Do you want to get

slapped again? I'd be more than happy to give you a couple more slaps, but I don't think you'd want to

walk up the stage with your face all swollen.”

“You...” Rose stomped her feet in frustration. It was obvious that she wanted to fight Bailey, but she

knew she couldn't do so. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

No, I have to bear with it until I get the role of the female lead in “Time Warp”! After that, I can go after

her for revenge!

With that in mind, Rose turned around and said, “Let's go!”

The other celebrities around her exchanged glances in surprise. They thought Rose would punish

Bailey for slapping her, but she ended up chickening out and walking away instead.

“Thanks for the save, Ms. Jefferson.” Rainie's voice rang out from behind her.

Bailey slowly turned around and asked with an eyebrow arched, “You know me?”

Rainie nodded. “You are a highly respectable woman, Ms. Jefferson. I've admired you since I found out

about you being Anonymous. I, on the other hand, failed to live up to my company's expectations

despite having worked in the entertainment industry for so many years now. Not only was I unable to

repay my company for its contributions, but I am also going to lose the Best Actress award at the

Oscars this year to Rose. To be honest, I feel incredibly useless after comparing myself to you.”

Bailey's lips curled into a mysterious smile as she said, “That's not necessarily the case.”
