Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 282

Chapter 282

“I recall telling you not to drag my master into our fight, but you just wouldn't listen. Now, you will have

to pay the price for your actions.”

A hint of terror flashed across Elsie's eyes.

She wasn't thinking straight when she said those words back then, but she couldn't help herself as she

was consumed by jealousy and hatred.

Maple Group was a well-known company, and considering how it had focused all its resources on her,

she reckoned the title of The Ultimate Designer would belong to her.

Yet little did she expect Bailey to appear out of nowhere and snatch the glory from her grasp, so how

could she not be angry?

“I—”

“I've never told any outsiders that I'm a graduate of Gadzinski Academy, so your claim is nothing but a

lie. Besides, the world didn't even know that Master Gadzinski was my master before I arrived in

Hallsbay. You can say whatever you want, but you'll have to face the consequences at the end of the

day.”

That said, Bailey pushed Elsie aside, lowered her head, and looked at the deputy CEO of Maple

Group. “I'm not the only one that this woman offended. She has already offended Gadzinski Academy

when she said those words. So if you wish to protect her, I will have to pin this on your company.”

At once, the man jolted in fright.

While Artemis was not someone he could offend, he, too, could not afford to cross Gadzinski Academy.

“Elsie, you're fired! You're no longer the lead designer of Maple Group! Get lost as soon as you wrap

your things up in the company. Any companies owned by Maple Group will no longer employ you.”

“What? No, no! I can't be fired! If I'm fired, I will no longer have any place in the industry!” Elsie fell from

her seat and collapsed onto the ground.

Artemis glanced at Bailey. Upon noticing that she showed no objection to this decision, he turned to

Ken. “Get rid of her.”

“Understood.”

Mournful screams could be heard in the massive hall.

It lasted for two minutes before silence returned to the hall.

Immediately, Joshua signaled the host with his eyes.

Upon catching the signal from Joshua, the host raised the microphone and said, “Ladies and

gentlemen, the judges have made the final decision. They unanimously agreed that the gown Ms.

Bailey designed for Ms. Caridee is a gem in the design industry and voted her as The Ultimate

Designer! Now, let us welcome Ms. Bailey for a speech with a warm round of applause!”

In the next second, thunderous applause reverberated across the hall.

Bailey turned to look at Artemis. “You go.” Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

A hint of coyness could be captured in her tone, to which Artemis raised his brows.

He was madly in love with the grim expression of hers.

If there weren't people around, he would've cornered her and tasted her lips as he wished.

“You should go. I've prepared something for you. It's a big surprise.”

Bailey rolled her eyes in response.

After hesitating for a moment, she went up the stage.

All the spotlights focused on her in that split second, and all eyes were on her.

Four years ago, it was a shame that Snowflake didn't show up at the award ceremony at the Grand

Fashion Show.

Four years later, her astounding masterpiece shook the globe yet again. However, she did not let the

ceremony end just like that in regret as she did before, for she had personally walked up the stage,

allowing everyone to witness the graceful bearing of a top designer.

Joshua followed behind her as she walked up the stage. After finishing his introduction and speeches,

he turned toward Bailey with a smile. “Congratulations, Ms. Jefferson! I believe this is the ultimate price

you deserve. Let us welcome our mysterious guest to award you the trophy and certificate!”

Bailey arched a brow.

Her instincts told her that this was the surprise Artemis had prepared for her.

However, she had gone through so much in life. There were not many things that could surprise her

anymore.

“Now, let us welcome the one and only Cedric Gadzinski, the pillar of the fashion industry, with a round

of applause!”

A look of surprise flashed past Bailey's eyes.

She turned around stiffly and stared at the passageway to her side.

As she caught a glimpse of the familiar face, her eyes turned teary.

She had never once enjoyed the love of a father and mother, but they were all given to her by her

master.

Come to think of it. It's been a long time since I last returned to Gadzinski Academy. I'm really unfilial to

have Master Gadzinski travel all the way here to Hallsbay to visit me!

“Master Gadzinski, why are you here?”

Cedric examined her from head to toe and nodded in satisfaction. “Good. You're as steady as usual for

not revealing your emotions on your face. Very well.”

With that, he took the trophy and certificate from the host before striding toward Bailey. He gently said,

“Now, I'm here today to take this opportunity to let the world know that you, Bailey Jefferson, are the

most competent student I have ever had.”

Bailey shifted her gaze elsewhere. Can this old man stop being so emotional? I'm about to cry!

After calming herself down, she slowly reached out and took the trophy from Cedric before bowing

deeply at him. “Thank you for your three years of teaching, Master Gadzinski. I will not let you down.”

“Good,” Cedric said, and tears started welling in his eyes.

In the next second, the lights flashed, and music started playing in the hall.

Artemis fixated his gaze on the beautiful lady on the stage and curled his lips into a smile.

There was nothing the Jefferson family could do to give Bailey the warmth of a family, so Artemis

decided to invite Cedric to Hallsbay to witness this moment. It was the only thing he could do for her.

Meanwhile, Susan approached Caridee with a cup of fruit juice in her hand. “Aunt Caridee, I need to

use the restroom, but I'm too scared to go alone.”

Caridee reached out to pinch Susan's cheeks and smiled. “I thought you were brave. Why are you

scared now? Come. I'll take you to the restroom. Put your cup on the table.”

After they left, Rhonda fixed her eyes on the cup of fruit juice. Her lips curled into a malicious grin. Die,

you little sh*t!

Cedric scanned around when they got down the stage and asked, “Where's Julie? Why did she not

attend such a grand ceremony?”

Bailey rubbed her temples in response. “I think she's in love.”

“What?” Cedric exclaimed and narrowed his eyes. “She's a special one. The Hoffman family sent her to

Gadzinski Academy so that she could focus on her priorities. They needed her to inherit the empire, so

she's not to be in a relationship with men outside, or they would be in a lot of trouble.”

“You're right, Master Gadzinski. I'll keep an eye on her.”

At this moment, Juliana was waiting to ambush someone at the main gate of the Shurmer residence.

As a convoy slowly closed in, she immediately sprang up from the ground before jumping into the

middle of the road.

A moment later, Zeke got out of the car. As soon as he got out, he said, “Ms. Juliana, I have a girlfriend,

so please stop looking for me.”
