Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 222

Chapter 222

Nevertheless, Artemis wasted no time in getting rid of the other man.

“Didn't you hear her? Get lost.”

Sylvester rolled his eyes and began making his way to the door. At the same time, he said, “So you're

chasing me off now? Fine, I'm going to enjoy my time in your company's secretary's office. If I end up

impregnating one of the secretaries, you'll have to clean up after my mess.”

Artemis only smiled and shook his head.

Bailey raised a brow and asked, “Which terrible friend of yours is he?”

Instead of replying to her, Artemis stood up and walked over to her. Yet, before he could circle his arm

around her waist, Bailey took two steps and avoided his touch.

Oh? She's wary now. It looks like it won't be as easy to flirt with her anymore.

“Am I some kind of wolf?”

Bailey studied him from head to toe before shaking her head. In a serious tone, she replied, “You're a

monster.”

This wicked-tongue woman...

“He's the Hollett family's oldest son, Sylvester Hollett.”

Bailey froze when she heard that. Once she recollected herself, a look of surprise appeared on her

face, “So he's Sylvester of the Hollett family? The one who can destabilize the country with just a

stomp?

Artemis could not help but laugh at the sight of her look of disbelief. “Yes, that's him. He looks

flirtatious, but he's quite a ruthless character. He thinks of you as the wife of a good friend, and that's

why he was joking around you.”

“Ha,” came Bailey's unamused laugh as she curled her lips. “It sounds like he'll be a pain to deal with.

By the way, the person in charge of the pharmaceutical factory called me earlier and said that the

results for the fourth trial are out. It's a complete success. He wanted me to ask you if you're going to

hold a press conference to announce the good news.”

“Of course, we're going to do that.”

While she was not paying attention to him, he quickly wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her

toward him.

“Your participation was why they overcame the bottleneck. This is your success, so, of course, I'm

going to hold a press conference to sing your praises.”

Bailey tried to struggle out of his grasp, but her efforts were to no avail. Hence, she gave up on that

and changed the topic. “Remember to fish out information about Max's biological mother before you

deal with Rhonda. The boy's still young, and he needs the love of a mother. Don't let his childhood

become his regret.”

Artemis quietly hummed in response. “It'll be the same if you become his mother.”

Bailey did not reply to that.

In a café opposite Luther Group's headquarters, Bailey was looking at a gleeful Rhonda with raised

brows. With a smile that did not reach her eyes, she said, “Congratulations on your pregnancy again,

and your wedding with Mr. Luther.”

The moment Bailey said that, the smugness on Rhonda's face grew more intense.

“Ms. Jefferson, I invited you out here to assign you a task.”

A task?

A small smile manifested on Bailey's lips, and she humbly said, “You're the future wife of the CEO. You

can just give me a call if you have anything to tell me. You don't need to see me in person.”

The mention of how she was going to be the wife of a CEO only made Rhonda even more thrilled.

At least this b*tch knows how to read the room.

“You know how my wedding day with Artemis is approaching. Aren't you Luther Group's lead designer?

As the wife of the CEO, I order you to design a wedding dress for me in three days' time.”

Hearing that, Bailey lifted a brow. So she didn't invite me only to show off. She's hoping that I'll design

her wedding dress too.

“Sure, Mrs. Luther. What style would you like? Do tell me, and I'll do my best to design it in three days.”

Rhonda stiffened as she started at Bailey with wide eyes. She never thought that Bailey would agree to

it so easily.

She thought that Bailey would have lost control of her emotions—that she would be mad, hysterical,

and jealous.

But she did not.

Bailey did nothing but agree to her request.

“You... You agreed to it.”

Bailey chuckled. “Well, as an employee of Luther Group, it's my honor to design the wedding dress of

my boss' future wife. Why would I reject you? You don't have to doubt my decision, just tell me what

style you prefer.”

Rhonda pursed her lips at that.

She was very disappointed.

She could not fathom why Bailey did not look jealous at all.

Why? Artemis has agreed to marry me, but why can she still seem so nonchalant about it? Could it be

that she doesn't want to marry Artemis, the handsome man who's probably richer than the country

itself?

...

Two days later, at the Luther residence's infirmary.

The person in charge was passing the documents in his trembling hands to Artemis. “Mr. Luther, this is

the result of the report on you and Ms. Bailey's son. I think you'd want to read this yourself.”

Artemis tightened his grip on the wine glass, and his nails turned white from the force.

A moment of silence later, he slowly reached out to take the documents from the other man.

Artemis was a fast reader. Soon, he was in the last section of the last page.

It was results that he had seen coming, but they still struck him like a sledgehammer.

The last line read: Specimen A and specimen B are biologically father and son.

All mysteries were unraveled.

He, Artemis Luther, had left three seeds behind that night seven years ago. Those seeds had bloomed

and given him the best surprise in his life.

Bailey... Bailey...

At that very moment, he wished he could meld her into him.

What do I do? It feels like nothing I do is enough to express the love I have for her. How should I show

her the deep affection I have for her that threatens to burst out of my chest?

When the person in charge saw no response from Artemis, who was as still as a statue, he anxiously

asked, “Mr. Luther, are you all right?”

Artemis forced his stiff neck to turn to the side before smiling. “That boy is my son. My son.”

“Yes, yes,” the person in charge quickly answered. “Mr. Luther, you're a lucky man to have two sons

and a daughter. You surely will have plenty of children and grandchildren in the future.”

“Haha,” Artemis giggled. “It must have been tough for her to be pregnant with three babies at the same

time. I already have sons and a daughter, so I don't want her to experience the pain of going through

labor again.”

Cadence was sitting on a couch in the living room of a mansion as he quietly watched the live

broadcast of a press conference.

“The woman's quite fast to have completed the fourth trial in just a month's time. I'm sure they'll begin

the manufacturing process after the press conference. Oh, Snowflake. I've been waiting for so many

years, and the chance for me to take revenge has finally come.”

With that said, he grabbed the phone on the coffee table and dialed a string of numbers. “Launch the

plan earlier.”

“Yes.”

Meanwhile, at the site of the press conference, Bailey was listening to the applause of the audience

with a faint smile on her lips as she stood on the stage.

Ms. Moore, I've utilized the medical knowledge you've taught me to help this world. If you can see me

now, you'll know that it's time for you to rest in peace.

While she was thinking that, Artemis was looking at her with a gentle gaze. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

“I used to think that I am very successful in earning an amount that most people would never be able to

make in many lives. However, after getting to know you, I finally realized that the feeling of

accomplishment doesn't come from personal gains but from the act of contributing to the world.

Anonymous, thank you. Thank you for helping our research team overcome the hardest obstacle in the

medical field.”
