Start With An Unexpected Affair

He’s regretting it! That night, it should have never happened. That was the cause of all his mess right now

No matter how hard he try to bury himself in work, his mind can’t just stop thinking about her, about everything

The first time he had seen her was pretty memorable, he had returned from a successful business trip and everyone was waiting for him outside the door to welcome him

As he got out of his car and walk into the line created, he notice a pair of blue eyes staring at him and stare back

Kyler wasn’t sure if it was the look that make her trip as she try moving back but he find himself catching her before she hits the ground

He help her stand gently on her feet and bring her loose shoe to her feet, he look up and her eyes stares at him like a puppy looking to be cuddled

Kyler wasn’t sure why but he felt drawn to this worker and it take Alex quick tap to stop himself from asking for her name

He try not to think much of it after then and put the thought of her behind his mind only for it to cone back again after few years

One of the managers had made a grave mistake which almost cost a lot of money to be lose but she had step in and provide a solution right in the meeting room and caught his attention again.

Her intuitive solution had saved the day and he decided to take a shoot and make her his new secretary.

After the first awful start of working together, Kyler felt maybe he had made a mistake choosing her but she did much better than he had expected

She was inquisitive, diligent and motivated, despite his high demanding nature she had managed to keep up after three months and endured his nasty temper

Even when she had to spend nights in the company working and days she had to go with him on an unplanned trips and sacrifice all her vacations for work.

Kyler wasn’t sure back then but he has always guessed his little secretary has a crush on him.

Her actions when she first started work with him shows it, she sometimes look lost staring at him when they work together with same puppy-looking eyes

And although he has never admit it, he has always treated her a little different from others.

He convince himself that if he could not reciprocate her feelings for him then he could almost be nice to her

It also felt a bit strange then since he has never cared about other women having crushes on him but she might have been special.

When he got married to Veronica, Kyler had caught the tears on her face on his wedding day and ignore it taking it as one of the many heartbroken women who desires him.

Maybe if he hasn’t been so narcissistic, he would have realized soon what he’s realizing late now.

Yasmin never imagine getting confessed to and rejecting Mr. Bays would be this hard

After she had rejected his offer to date him, Yasmin hasn’t seen him

She thought things might be awkward for few days and afterwards get better but she was wrong, He changed completely towards her and she kind of blame herself

She clearly remember his pride being hurt after her words, after her vacation she tried apologizing to him but it seems he doesn’t want her around

Everyone in the office seem to notice it too and few asked if they had a lovers’ fight, Yasmin find out about the rumors going around that she is dating with Mr. Bays

She had no idea that is what everyone thinks of their relationship, although she isn’t sure what brought about such thought but she guessed others must have made such rumors because of how nice Mr. Bays has been to her

Yasmin thought ignoring the rumors and Mr. Bays changed attitude will make things easier but it doesn’t

She even got scold at one of the meetings they had and was forced to start a contract application that took her three days all over.

As Yasmin type away she feel the need to visit the restroom but thought to finish the page in front of him before going

The urge to go become more strong at a word she type and she rush out making a loud noise with her sandals.

Yasmin feel great relieve after easing herself and proceed put of the toilet to clean her hands, as she push the tap on she glance up and see Mr. Bays standing close

She was startled by him and turn off the water for a moment wondering why he’s in here

“Did he miss his way? This is the ladies bathroom right? Or did I miss my way?”

Yasmin thought staring at him waiting for him to maybe give an explanation as to why he is here

“Did you need me to do anything for him Mr. Bays?” She asked feeling impatient

“I need you every time Yasmin” he answered and took a step closer

Yasmin try not to move back to show him she isn’t flattered but failed as her body felt a bit uncomfortable with him being that close

“I am being patient because I don’t want you to be scared of me Yasmin” he told her and somehow it sounds like a warning

“Huh?”

“I don’t want to force your heart to accept me, I want it to accept me voluntary that way you won’t get hurt and I will be with you for a long time”

Yasmin sighs thinking he’s still being upset about being rejected and also still in love with her

She try to walk away from him but he grab her arm to push her slightly back then force her into a hug

“What are you doing?” Yasmin whispered not wanting to get caught in this position with him, it will only add to the ridiculous rumor going on

She hear him give a loud and long inhale like he was smelling her and Yasmin feel weird

She push him away hard and give a second glare making her way successfully out of the restroom.

After what happened again with Mr. Bays, Yasmin feel a lot worst around him and try as much as possible to avoid him at work

Since she really has nothing going rather than go to work and go come home, Talia force her to attend an outing with her.

Some rich dude is having a big party and many people are going to be there, it’s a day and a night party more like a short trip

There will be rooms to crush when tired, lot of foods, drinks and fun, most importantly, there are going to be a lot of people

It’s a chance to meet a new man, get into a relationship and put the past behind her and also Mr. Bays

Yasmin decide it is worth a shoot and choose to go have some fun, it’s Saturday till Sunday

Although she do not know who the host is bit he must be a businessman who can’t risk his weekdays just to party.

Talia came to pick her up as early as possible wearing a nice knee-length gown and new hairdo

“Who knows? We might meet our destined man there” she has said when Yasmin talk about the extra effort she put

Yasmin straighten her dark blonde hair and pack it in a neat ponytail, she was force to wear a pencil length dress by Talia and they set off in Talia’s car.

The place is already bubbling with music and drinks like a gala night but just that it’s in the day

“You didn’t tell me people from Black empire will be here” Yasmin asked seeing few around

Yasmin nod her head and Talia drag her to some group of ladies and a gent having cheerful talks, right she should have fun.

A party would be the best to lose concentration, although he isn’t organizing one he could just go to one for fun

Kyler Black although love parties rarely appear in one not organized by him or for business purpose

But for the sake of getting his mind off the disturbing thought he decide to give it a try.

Kyler arrive at the party few hours after it started and create attention to himself.

Many are surprised to see him at the function since he never showed up and some got excited hoping it would be a chance to finally meet with him

The party host who is also so surprise to have him here walk up to Kyler with two ladies beside him

“Kyler Black at my party, today must be my lucky day”

“I guess so”

“Did you come for business or you are really here to party?”

“What about your wife? Do you bring her?” He asked looking behind him

“I came alone”

“Oh Black don’t tell me you don’t know what party this is, it is mainly for the singles”

“It’s not really a married man thing”

“You want me to leave?”

“Of course not, being married doesn’t stop one from having fun” the host said and wink at him

“If you need anything, please let me know” he said and walk away with his arms back at the ladies neck.

Kyler sighs and look around thinking this party might not be the best option after all or maybe he should have come with Alex

He catches few ladies staring at him and after few minutes they approach him carefully Hoping not to upset him.

Kyler try as much as possible to converse with the ladies but they just go on and on about his looks and how wealthy he is

He decide to go to the men and try to have few conversations with them to relax.

It was all going good until some guy join them with a lady beside him, Yasmin Cassidy
