Chapter 435
Chapter 435
“Serious? Cool! I won’t be alone anymore.” I was delighted.
“Yes. Our flight is at midnight. I’m going to pack now. Oh, and we will have a driver to take us to the
airport. Give me your address and we’ll pick you up.
above.”
So I told her my address and she quickly hung up after saying she had to pack. I wanted Eric to have
Jessica to go with me, but Jenny wasn’t a bad choice either. After all, she was a nice and vivacious
lady, so I was sure I wouldn’t feel lonely with her around.
When I was about to leave after
shopping,
someone pulled up beside my cart. I looked up and saw Dylan.
“How do you still have time to shop at this hour?”
“I followed Isabella Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
car
“Oh you.” I rolled my eyes. “I was about to take a taxi home, but now I don’t think I need to. You’re
going to send me home, aren’t you?”
“Naturally.”
He took my cart and paid for my things before taking them to the car. When I walked in, I started asking
him out of curiosity, “I saw you and Jessica in the parking lot earlier. I was going to say hi, but Isabella
said you were upset and stopped me. Did something happen between you two?”
“She asked me out for coffee today, and I told her to stop calling me. That’s all,” he replied.
“You can’t say that to a girl!” I was worried that he was rejecting her so blatantly! No wonder Jessica
looked so upset.
“Why not? It’s not like I have a choice. She kept calling and texting me just for a coffee or tea. She
would probably ask for me if I let her continue. She is annoying!” Jessica was in the public relations
department. Of course, she would have lots of ideas for how to approach Dylan, but he turned them
down.
Even I felt upset for her. “You are very direct. She is a good girl. Just give her a chance and you’ll see.”
Dylan didn’t want to talk about it. “Let’s not talk about it anymore. You said you won’t feel alone
anymore. What do you mean?”
“Oh, I’m going abroad to do some research,” I replied.
“Serious? When you go?”
“Tomorrow at midnight.”
“How much time?”
“I have no idea. Probably a week or two as there are three countries I have to visit.” Eric only told me
the outbound flight time, not the return flight.
“It really is time for you to take a break. I was thinking of going skiing in Switzerland. I would ask you to
go together, but now that you have other plans, I will cancel.”
Dylan was happy I was going abroad and even said he would invite me to Switzerland if it weren’t for
my research. Hearing that, I started to worry about him when I thought about what Eric’s assistant
said. Does he know Eric is behind this? “Aren’t you busy? Oh, my father said his company is stocking a
lot of raw materials. That is true?”
