The man grabbed Millie's leg when she went up to check on him. He gasped, "Save me!"

She was stunned by the situation.

Back at HK Hotel, Millie folded her arms and stared at the man in bed with mixed feelings.NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.

At six feet tall, the man had a fit body and good looks to go

with it. Even when he was unconscious, she could tell that he was hot from his tall nose, thin lips, and thick lashes.

The man suffered from a stab wound in his stomach. He had lost

a lot of blood when she saved him from the side of the road.

Standing beside Millie, Marvin whispered, "Who is he?"

She replied, "No idea. I picked him up from the streets."

Marvin teased her, "That's bold of you. Aren't you worried that the man is trouble?"

She smirked. "It's not like I'm ever afraid of trouble."

"Yeah, right. Nothing scares you in this world, except when Winston –” He caught himself before the words slipped out.

Nothing would faze Millie except when Winston got into trouble.

She shot him a threatening look, quietly warning him not to run his mouth. Lowering her gaze, she instructed him, "Find out who he is." Nodding, Marv the unknown man's

pockets in search of any form of identification while Millie waited by the bed.

Just when Marvin was about to extract the ID card, the man

opened his eyes and grabbed Marvin's wrist.

Millie and Marvin glanced a im at the same time.

Lips pursed, the man stared at them warily.

"Um, hi?" She cocked her head and greeted the stranger.

He scanned his surroundings before turning back to Millie and

Marvin.

Where was he, and who were they? What happened just now?

Millie explained, "I saved you when you fainted in front of my car. It's 5:00 am now. Dawn is about to break."

She looked out of the window.

When the man moved his lips, she offered him a glass of water. He was definitely a hottie, even though his eyes were looking a little red. Marvin helped him up from the bed. The man touched his stomach.

Seeing that, she explained, "You're

injured in the stomach. I dressed et

your wound and stitched it up.

эле

nothing goes wrong, you can get

your stitches removed after a week."

"Who are you?” the man questioned Millie vigilantly. He openly scrutinized her with his deep, dark eyes.

Yawning, she leaned by the window

and

isded her arms. "I'm Millie

Caldwell of the Caldwell family is my assistant, Marvin Maddock." en.set

Her confidence stemmed from her good intentions. There was no point keeping anything from him after she had just saved his life.

The man's lips tightened into line, Was this Millie Caldwell of the Caldwell family? Wouldn't that make Julia Webster her mother?

What a coincidence! The man pondered in surprise.

Marvin reminded him, "It's time to introduce yourself."

Millie pinched her ears, ready to listen to what the man had to say.

"I'm Sean Stringer," he said flatly in a pleasant voice.

She frowned. "That rings a bell.”

Sean glanced at her, looking pale but still smiling. "Oh, does that ring a bell for you?"

She stroked her chin. Sean Stringer...

Sean Stringer?

"What's the name of Bob's son?" she suddenly asked Marvin.

Sounding curious, he asked, "Which Bob?"

e

She kicked him in the leg. "Who else could he be? I'm talking about Bob Stringer from one of the Four Great Families of Yerwick. He has a son. What's the guy's name again?"

Smiling, Sean answered Millie, "That would be Sean Stringer."
