Chapter 43 - She Needs a Break
Lyken lost his focus on Kobe's party when Jada walked past them. He saw the bikini she was wearing and when he looked around, almost everyone at the bachelor's party was in awe after seeing her. 'I don't like that!'
He really doesn't like it when other men see her in such outfits. He knows it's normal for her since she's a model, but Lyken still doesn't like it.
Especially not there, not at that party. She's not there to work, she's there to celebrate her friend's last days as a single woman, not to fill the eyes of these filthy men.
She followed Jada to guard her and when they talked, he saw annoyance in her eyes. She also mentioned his fiancé again and Lyken still doesn't understand where she got the idea that he's engaged.
"Ly!" Robin called as he walked towards him. He looked up to his friend as he spread his legs and leaned his arms backward. He's sitting on the sand not far from the venue of the parties. "What's the problem?" Robin asked again when he realized that Lyken didn't even respond when he called for him.
"Dude, did something happen to Jada after the last time we went out?"
Rob creased his forehead, thinking. "I don't think so. All I know is that you guys went to the restroom, when she came back, she asked for a bottle of vodka and started drinking. Then she blacked out and you brought her home." "We went to the restroom? I didn't go to the restroom with her."
Robin sat next to him looking all confused. "You didn't? I thought you went there with Jada and Josefin. You all came out from the restroom," he explained.
Lyken kept thinking about what he said and that's when he realized that she heard about the engagement while they were there. The thing is, Josefin was talking to her fiancé at that time, Emil, not Lyken.
'If she's there, where exactly in the restroom was she? I only saw her when I came back to get Josefin's purse.'
Thinking about it, Lyken felt the urge to talk to her right away. But since she said she's already going to sleep, he decided to postpone it for now.
Lost in thoughts, he didn't even notice that Robin already left him but he wasn't even bothered. All he knows is that he has to talk to Jada to explain things to her, the sooner, the better.
Everything she knows was a mistake. Lyken's not engaged to anyone, not yet. Unless she agrees, of course, then he'd gladly be engaged with her.
But before that happens, he has to convince her first that the engagement thing is nothing but a huge misunderstanding. Aside from that, he still has to earn her forgiveness.
After the party, he went straight to bed. He forced himself to sleep on hi thoughts, otherwise, he'll earn another pound of eyebags.NôvelDrama.Org content.
When Lyken woke up the next morning, he went straight to the bathroom to wash up and to have breakfast downstairs. When he got to the restaurant, everyone was already there except for Jada. 'She's probably in the restroom.'

"Good morning, Ly!" Bambi greeted and he nodded at him as he sat next to Kobe.
"Honey, when is Jada coming back? The day before your wedding?" he heard Ada ask.
"Yeah, she'll be back one day before our wedding. I tried to stop her but she looked like she really needed it, so I let her go. She's always spacing out but she won't tell me what's happening to her," Honey responded. "Jada left?" Lyken butted in. Not even sure if he heard everything right. They all turned to him looking confused.
"You didn't know? Where were you last night?" Bambi asked.
"Did she say where she's going? When did she leave? Why?" he asked continuously.
"Calm down, man! She'll come back anyway!" Kobe told him as he gave his shoulder a light squeeze.
"No dude, you don't understand. I need to talk to Jada as soon as possible. It's important! So tell me where did she go!" He spat at Kobe before turning to Honey.
"Sorry Ly, but she didn't tell me where she's going. All she said was, she needs a break but she'll be back before my wedding," Honey informed him.
Lyken plopped on the chair, cupping his face with both hands. When he did, he almost lost his balance, fortunately, he was able to regain it. He had a mini heart attack because of that.
'What will I do now? Am I late again?'
"Ly, can you please explain to us what happened? You've been looking so problematic since last night," it was Robin.
He leaned back to face them. 'They have to know, maybe they can help me.' "Jada thinks I'm engaged," he muttered.
They were all shocked after hearing what he said. Honey even stood up only to sit down again. She looked anxious and Lyken's feeling the same.
He let out a heavy sigh. "The night I took her home, she asked me to stay. She said she wants me to stay with her, even for just one night, although I'm already engaged. Then she said the same thing last night. I followed her but she asked me to watch over my fiancé instead."
All their friends were speechless. They were all in trance for a couple of seconds before they got back their senses.
"I don't know where she heard that. If it was while I'm in the restroom with Josefin, then I don't know why she assumed I'm engaged. We were with Josefin's fiancé that time," he explained.
Honey started tearing. She stood up and approached him for a hug. "I don't know Honey, I don't know what to do anymore," Lyken told her as he started sobbing too.
"Let's calm down, for now, Ly. I'll do everything I can to help you fix things with Jada. I know she's having a hard time too, that's why she chose to leave. Don't worry, I'll help you explain things to her," Honey assured him.
"I hope so Hon. I hope we can still fix things between us."
