Chapter 55
"Yes, even the cup is mine."
Jessica nodded and felt speechless. She had worked hard that morning and wanted to take a
break and have a cup of coffee. However, Trevor had interrupted her. Seeing that, Jessica thought, "He is definitely my enemy."
Trevor held the cup of coffee in his hand and felt awkward.
It was the first time he was stared at angrily. Moreover, he had used someone else's cup.
"I'm sorry."
He placed the cup of coffee on the table and felt so award that he forgot to ask about the coffee taste. Then, he watched as the woman slowly took the cup away. He rubbed his palms under the table and didn't know what to do.
Jessica directly poured all the remaining coffee that Trevor didn't drink into the trash can. Then, she turned and asked him, "Do you want me to make
another cup of coffee for you with the company's shared cup?"
"It's all right. Thank you," Trevor answered politely.
After that, he watched as she turned around and leave and let out a sigh of relief.
He thought, "She's not Jessica. Jessica has a limp on her leg. Maybe there really are people
who like the same level of sweetness in their coffee."
In the pantry, as soon as Jessica sat down and took a sip of her coffee, a few curious female employees approached her.
"Jessica, did Mr. Gulliford drink coffee with your cup just now?"
"It was a misunderstanding," Jessica replied coldly.
She wasn't happy at all.
"Oh my goodness! Jessica, how can you be so calm? If Mr. Gulliford drank water with my cup, I'll definitely treasure it and stare at it every day." "You're exaggerating." Seeing them swoon over Trevor, Jessica shook her head helplessly.
"No, she's not!" A woman from behind squeezed to the front. She had a mole on the tip of her nose, and she sported a short haircut that made her look like an elite. "Mr. Gulliford is perfect. He is the man of my dreams." "Pamela is Mr. Gulliford's fangirl. She is also your colleague."
A woman introduced Pamela to Jessica nicely. Before Jessica could greet Pamela, she heard a commotion from behind her.
"Mr. Gulliford's son is here, and he is even more handsome than his father. Oh gosh! I don't
want to be Mr. Gulliford's wife anymore. I want to be his daughter-in-law!" "Really? I want to see!"
"Me too."
Jessica held the cup of coffee in her hand and froze. She wondered, "Is Bennett here?"
For the past three years, she could only see Bennett through the news on television. At that moment, she felt a surge of emotions and longed to see Bennett.
She hurriedly put down the cup and followed the group of Trevor's fangirls out to the lobby.
"Where are the receptionists? Hurry up and come and serve our visitor." The manager turned around and yelled at Jessica and Pamela. Then, he turned to Bennett and asked politely, "Bennett, do you want juice or milk?" "I'm fine with either," Bennett answered halfheartedly.
His eyes were on the medicine book in his hands.
Jessica was in charge of filling Trevor's glass. However, as soon as she went to the pantry, she asked Pamela to switch glasses with her.
She wanted to serve Bennett. Pamela naturally didn't mind and was happy about it. After all, she was Trevor's loyal fangirl.
When they returned to the lobby, Trevor watched as
Jessica walked toward Bennett and felt puzzled. He thought, "Shouldn't she be the one who serves me? Most women do everything they can to butter me up. Yet, now there is a woman who ignores me and chooses to butter up my son. Is that woman interested in becoming my daughter-in-law?"All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Oh my! Bennett, you are as handsome as your father. I am so jealous."
The manager stood at the side and buttered up Bennett. In fact, Bennett was indeed very good looking.
"He got it from his mother. My wife is really beautiful," Trevor replied casually.
Hearing that, Jessica's hand that was holding Bennett's glass trembled.
She thought, "His wife? Is that how he addresses me in front of other people?"
Trevor saw her tremble from the corner of his eyes and he immediately narrowed his eyes.
