Rejected Luna Queen

Chapter 61

Nesta’s POV

I blinked away the darkness, my eyes adjusting to the sudden brightness as I turned on the light. The room, once a haven of privacy, now felt stifling, the walls closing in on me.

I sat up, the cool air hitting my skin, a stark contrast to the heat that had consumed me moments ago. I never checked the doors when I’m going to sleep, which I should have thought abolit.

Nolan’s presence had left a lingering tension, and I couldn’t shake the feeling of suffocation. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. Anger bubbled up within me, a mix of frustration and indignation.

Why should I feel guilty? I didn’t do anything wrong. Luca is the one I like now, not Nolan or Rowan. They made sure to make me hate them which wasn’t hard. I had every right to call out his name.

I swung my legs over the side of the bed, running a hand through my tangled hair. The scent of my cum still lingering in the air making me smile remembering just how hard I came. It wasn’t Luca’s face but I screamed his name.

I’m glad I did.

What gave Nolan the right to be angry? He had rejected me, made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with me. And yet, here he was, acting as if he had some claim over me. Who on earth does he think he is?

My thoughts whirled, each one more infuriating than the last.

What brought him to my room in the first place? Was he checking up on me? Spying? The very idea made my blood boil. He had no right to invade my privacy, no right to judge me.

I stood up, pacing the length of the room, trying to burn off the restless energy that filled me. The memory of Nolan’s scornful laugh echoed in my mind, fueling my anger.

How dare he? How dare he make me feel this way? I was moving on, finding someone who could make me feel alive, and he had no place in that.

With each step, my resolve hardened. I wouldn’t let Nolan or anyone else make me feel ashamed of my feelings. Luca was who I wanted, and I wouldn’t let anyone take that from me.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Not Nolan, not Rowan, not anyone. I was done being a pawn in their games, done being manipulated and controlled.

I paused, taking another deep breath, trying to centre myself. The light in the room was harsh, but it also felt cleansing, washing away the remnants of the dream and the confusion that had followed.

I was stronger than this, stronger than the doubts and the guilt. I would face whatever came next with my head held high, and I wouldn’t let Nolan’s anger sway me.

With a final, determined breath, I turned off the light and climbed back into bed, my mind clearer and my heart steadier. Tomorrow was a new day, and I would face it on my terms.

After turning off the light and crawling back into bed, I managed to let the tension slowly ebb away. The exhaustion from the emotional turmoil eventually pulled me into a deep, dreamless sleep.

The next morning, I woke up feeling surprisingly refreshed, the events of the night before now a distant memory. The early morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the room.

I stretched, feeling the stiffness in my muscles melt away, and took a deep breath, savouring the fresh start of a new day. The night before is long forgotten.

I lay there, a sense of resolve settled over me. I didn’t care that flad hurt Nolan’s feelings. He didn’t care when he hurt mine, sepeatedly.

It was time for me to prioritise myself and my own happiness. With renewed determination, I swung my legs out of bed and got up, ready to face whatever the day had in store.

1 took my time getting dressed, choosing a comfortable yet confident outfit, I wanted to step out of my room with my head held high, showing everyone that I was not to be underestimated

After brushing my hair and tying it back, I glanced at my reflection in the mirror. My eyes were clear, and there was a new strength in my gaze.

Satisfied, I walked to the door, my heart pounding slightly with anticipation. I hadn’t stepped out of my room in days, and the thought of facing the world again was both daunting and exhilarating. I took a deep breath, opened the door, and stepped into the hallway.

The palace was quiet in the early morning, the usual bustle subdued. I walked slowly, taking in the familiar yet somehow new surroundings,

Each step felt like a small victory, a reclaiming of my own space and identity. As I moved through the corridors, I noticed the surprised looks from a few maids and guards, but I ignored them, focusing on the sense of freedom that filled me.

Today was the first day of many that I would take back control of my life. I wouldn’t let Nolan or anyone else dictate how I should feel or act.

This was my journey, and I was determined to navigate it on my own terms. With a renewed sense of purpose, I continued down the hall, ready to face whatever challenges awaited me.

As I walked through the palace, a mix of nostalgia and determination washed over me. The corridors were filled with memories, some painful, some bittersweet, but today they felt lighter, as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

I spotted a familiar face approaching: Lila, one of the maids who had been kind to me when I first arrived. Her eyes in surprise, then softened with a warm smile.

“Good morning, Lila,” I greeted her, my voice steady.

“Good morning, Miss,” she replied, a hint of relief in her tone. “It’s good to see you up and about.”

“It’s good to be out,” I said, smiling back. “How have you been?”

“Busy as always, but it’s manageable,” she said with a slight chuckle. “If you need anything, just let me know.”

“Thank you, Lila. I appreciate it.”

As I continued my stroll, I encountered more familiar faces. Each grecting felt like a small step toward reclaiming my place here. Not that I want to be back for good. No.

There was Maria, the cook, bustling in the kitchen with her usual energy. She glanced up, and her face broke into a wide grin when she saw me. She used to give me so much food so I could gain weight when I came here.

“Well, look who’s finally out of her room!” she exclaimed, wiping her hands on her apron.

“Good morning, Maria,” I said, feeling a genuine warmth in my chest. “How’s everything in the kitchen?”

“Busy, as always. You should come by more often. We miss your company,” she said, her eyes twinkling.

“I’ll make sure to visit more,” I promised.

Further down the hall, I encountered Sarah and Emily, two younger maids who had always been friendly and eager to help.

They were chatting quietly as they worked, but they straightened up and smiled when they saw

Good morning, Sarah, Emily, I said, nodding at each of them.

“Good morning. Miss, they chorused, their faces lighting up with surprise and happiness.

“It’s nice to see you both. How’s everything going?”

We’re well, thank you,” Sarah replied. “It’s good to see you out and about.”

“It feels good to be out,” 1 admitted. “Thank you for all your hard work.”

They both nodded, looking pleased, and I continued my walk, feeling lighter with each interaction. The palace, with its grand halls and opulent rooms, felt less like a gilded cage and more like a place where I could start anew.

I walked, I found myself in the garden, where the morning sun cast a golden glow over the flowers. The familiar scent of roses and jasmine filled the air, and I took a deep breath, savouring the moment.

It was a small step, but an important one. I was reclaiming my space, one greeting and one step at a time. Until it’s time for me to strike.
