Rejected By My Mate

Chapter 15

Chapter 15

[Azrael's POV]

Seeing her vanish in front of me was so painful. My heart shattered into small pieces. It was so

excruciating. Damn. My heart was so heavy. My wolf, Khael, also whimpers because of pain. He just

wanted to feel our mate and to be by our mate's side. He was still blaming me, though.

The moment I saw her face again, I knew I was in love with her. Those eyes were the most ravishing

thing I have ever seen in my whole life. Even though she was so scary a while ago, I couldn't help but

admire her more. She is the most beautiful and the strongest girl I have ever known. She has no fear.

I still can't believe that my mate is a hybrid. I thought she's an omega, but it turns out she's one of the

most powerful creatures on this planet. The moment she used her powers, her powerful aura almost

took my breath away because of suffocation. I almost suffocated. As her mate, I can feel her enormous

amount of energy and power. It was flowing.

I sighed as I made my way into the bathroom. I wash my face with cold water in the sink and look at the

mirror intently.

"I will not give up on you, Alexandria. I know you are just mad at me and you wanted me to pay for

what I did." I whispered, and let out a deep sigh.

F*ck! If I just didn't reject her in the first place, this wouldn't have happened between us. If I am not a

jerk before, maybe Alexandria would be my Luna now. This was my fault, after all. There's no one to

blame but myself.

I couldn't help but whimpered when my heart was aching at the thought that I let Alexandria out of my

sight again. When will I see my mate again?

‘We will find our mate, Azrael.’

We will, Khael. I know she needs us, but she avoids us.

‘I will try to connect with her wolf.’

I hummed. I hope Khael can connect to Alexandria's wolf. Knowing she's a hybrid, I know it will be hard

for Khael to connect to my mate's inner wolf.

Now, I have decided. I will look for Alexandria in the human world.

I took a quick shower and got dressed quickly. Afterward, I get out of my room into my office. I need to

finish my pending work first before I will leave everything to my Beta. Matthew is also my best friend

and I know he will understand me.

A knock on the door interrupts my peace of silence. I sighed. "Come in."

The door swung open, then Matthew came in. "Alpha, can I talk to you?" I nodded, and he sat in the

chair in front of my desk.

"Did you find any traces of the vampire?" I asked, remembering my order earlier.

He shook his head no. "It was like the vampire was inside our packhouse. Vampires got in without us

knowing." He said, frowning. "I still don't understand why a vampire would come here. I think it was

because of your mate." He uttered while looking at my reaction. I nodded, but I said nothing back.

"Is there anything wrong, Azrael?" Matthew asked worriedly.

"Matthew, my mate left earlier. She doesn't want to be my Luna." He gasped at my revelation.

"I'm sorry to hear that. What will happen now? The pack needs a Luna. Everyone will question why

your supposed-to-be Luna leave the pack. "

"I know. That's why I will leave the pack in your hands, Matthew. I will be away for a while because I

have to look for my mate and bring her back."

Matthew frowned. "Alpha, I will take care of the pack while you're away. Be careful, Alpha, and bring

our Luna back." I faintly smiled and nodded. I know I can trust Matthew.

"Thank you, Matthew. I will go tomorrow morning."

"What will I say if the entire pack will ask for you?"

"Just tell them that I have important business to do and will be away for a while." He nodded.

"Alpha, what happened in your room earlier? I saw Lucian staring into space, and you can't talk to him

seriously. All he did was nod. He's so weird and looks afraid."

"It just so happened that he knew my mate. And I don't know what happened to him." I said. He

nodded.

"But Alpha, my mate still believes that something unusual happened in your room." I sighed.

"Beta, nothing happened, okay? Wait—why did you have a hammer with you earlier?" He frowned and

looked like he was recalling what happened earlier.

"Alpha, I know it's hard to believe, but I used that hammer to break in your door. But even though how Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

many times I beat the sh*t out of that door, it wouldn't open. Even the axe was no use. I feel like there's

some force blocking us from breaking in. I can't believe that the door is as hard as the rock. It didn't

even crack a little." Matthew said skeptically. I can't believe Alexandria was keeping them from

breaking in. That's how powerful she is? She's also a witch? So, it means she has three spirits—the

wolf, the vampire, and the witch.

However, I admit, Alexandria was so hot when her long fangs showed. She's the most beautiful

vampire I have ever seen.

"I don't know if I will believe you, Matthew. I didn't even hear that someone was banging on the door." I

lied. Matthew's forehead creased.

"Impossible. Someone might trick us," he said.

"Maybe." Matthew seemed distracted about it.

"Matthew, can you fuel the car and make sure it's a full tank? I will leave early in the morning."

"Okay, Alpha."

He stood up and left the room. I rubbed my temple because of stress. And all I could think of right now

is Alexandria. Her beautiful face was stuck in my mind. I almost kissed her earlier because of Khael. He

wanted to feel our mate. Speaking of Khael, he hasn't talked to me yet. I guess he had a hard time

connecting with my mate's wolf. Maybe Alexandria was far away. I'll try to look in the city, but it was too

far away from here. The city is all I could think of where Alexandria was.

I continued with my paperwork. Not long after, I sensed a strong vampire scent. I hissed and got out of

my office. I hurriedly walk towards where I can sense it. It's in the backyard. What surprised me is that

Lucian is seriously talking to Vorges.

"Vorges!" I growled. Vorges grinned wickedly at me. "Lucian, why are you talking to that vampire?!" I

said questioningly. Lucian said nothing back. But I saw the look he gave at Vorges. Anger.

"Azrael," Vorges walked towards me while smirking. "I see she went here. Tell me where she is, Azrael.

That girl is dangerous and she will be the death of us. We need to kill her before she will wipe us all."

He said. I clenched my fist and growled at him.

"Azrael, that girl killed all the rogues," he continued. I gasped. What? He's lying. Alexandria can't do

that, she's innocent.

"I am not lying, Azrael. Alexandria is not as innocent as you thought she was. She's the beast that we

need to kill. We can't let her go to Tibbertan Mountains or else, our race will be gone forever."

"I don't believe you, Vorges!" I said through gritted teeth.

"She is the girl that was mentioned in the prophecy, Azrael. She can erase us all in just a snap. We

should kill her first before the blue moon." He stated. I clenched my fist into a ball.

"Alexandria is my mate and I won't let you lay a finger on her, Vorges!" I said, while glaring daggers at

him.

"You're stubborn, Azrael. Wait until she will kill us all." He spat angrily. "Now, where is she?!"

"She's not here. She left and will never come back." I said coldly. He cocked a grin.

"Oh, the girl rejects you as her mate? How sad? Did she realize that she was more powerful without

you? Tsk. Tsk." I glared at him and my vision darkened. I attacked him, but he dodged my punch. He

was fast.

"Did you know that she almost killed me that day? Tsk. That girl is so powerful, but at least, I now know

her only one weakness." He said evilly. Weakness?

"I won't let you kill my mate, Vorges! I'll kill you first!"

He laughed evilly. "As if I will let you. I'll kill you first because you are a useless Alpha and a useless

mate." My vision darkened more and gritted my teeth. I felt my vision turn golden brown.

But in just a snap, Vorges was so close to me.

"Ugh," I groaned in pain when I felt a stab on my chest. Everything was in slow motion, while my eyes

widened in shock. I didn't expect it. My body suddenly became paralyzed and I feel so weak.

"Alpha!"

"Alpha!"

"Kill him!" I heard Matthew mutter from a distance. Everyone growled and howled loudly, ready to

attack Vorges.

I look at Vorges, who has the widest grin on his face before he turns into a bat and flew away. His laugh

echoed in the darkness.

I heard the howling of my fellow werewolves. But my vision is getting blurry. I fell to my knees, then I

coughed with blood. It seems like Vorges put poison on the silver to paralyze my body. Then, I fall flat

on my back on the ground.

"Alpha!" Lucian came into me with a horror look. "No. No. No." he mumbled while pressing my chest to

add pressure to my wounds. He tried to pull out the silver that was stabbed in my chest but he got

burns and yelped in pain. I slowly lost my consciousness, and all I mumbled was Alexandria.

"Alpha!" the werewolves whimpered while surrounding me. Matthew was crying. I smiled faintly, but I

only coughed with blood. They were trying to pull out the buried silver in my chest, but to no avail.

My wolf Khael was whimpering because of pain. I can feel he's slowly vanished. He tried to heal me,

but the silver prevented it. It just got worse by the seconds. I grunted in pain. I tried to move, but I

couldn't. I shut my eyes when I couldn't hear my surroundings anymore. There were murmurs, but I

faintly heard them. It was just a faint noise.

I felt someone kneeled in front of me while whispering something but I couldn't pinpoint what he or

she's saying. Then, I felt someone pull out the buried silver in my chest slowly and painfully, but I

already lost consciousness. Darkness consumed me.

Am I going to die without seeing Alexandria? Is this my punishment for rejecting her? Moon Goddess, I

am so sorry for disobeying you before. All I asked for was a second chance to make all my mistakes

right. I want to make it right with Alexandria, my beautiful and powerful mate.

I don't want to die... yet.
