Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 843 – Don’t Mention Jesse to Me

Nydia has gotten used to living here, and has a normal routine, going to bed early, getting up early, and occasionally basking in the sun.

Fernand would also bring her a pen and paper for her to draw, a sort of recreation.

“You’re quite good at drawing.” Fernand said with a smile.

“It’s the specialty, after all.” Nydia said lightly.

“You draw me a sketch.” He demanded.

“Okay.” Nydia didn’t refuse.

She realized that Fernand was quite clingy to her during this time, coming to her when he had nothing else to do, sometimes chatting with her, sometimes just sitting with her and watching her draw.

Occasionally it felt like he was just a big harmless boy, but she knew it was all an illusion.

“Why don’t we go out and draw, the light will be better, the background will be good, no sketches, something with color.” She tried to stay on good terms with him now, so maybe there was a turnaround.

“Uh-huh.”

Fernand agreed and they went outside. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Someone followed them, probably just in case, after all, Fernand was unstable these days.

Once the tools were ready, Nydia began.

After drawing for a while she asked, “Can I ask how Jesse is doing now?”

Hearing the name Jesse, Fernand’s eyebrows twitched and his eyes changed, becoming quite cold, “Don’t mention him.”

This made Nydia feel a little strange, the Alex of the past wasn’t averse to mentioning Jesse, rather he was quite happy to do so, why wouldn’t he let it be mentioned now?

Not intending to anger him, she didn’t say anything else and just focused on his painting.

“You can rest for a while if you’re tired.” Fernand said gently.

“It’s okay, I’ll be done in a minute.”

She was faster at drawing and had deep skills, so she could draw without looking at Fernand all the time.

“The drawing is done, take a look.”

Turning the drawing board around.

“Not bad.” Fernand put away the drawing board, “You guys go frame this and scan it into an image and send it to me by the way.”

“All of you go down, I’ll be over here with her for a bit longer.”

“Chief, we need to keep you safe.”

“I’m not that old man anymore.” Fernand said lightly, his eyes carrying an oppressive force that brooked no refusal.

The bodyguards looked at each other thinking that it was better not to resist, but they didn’t really go, they just stood nearby, after all, the current Fernand wasn’t the real Alex, and they could only listen to half of his orders.

“What were you worried about Jesse about when you asked him earlier?” Fernand offered to bring up Jesse.

“I now know how he is now.”

“It seems you have very little faith in him.”

Nydia didn’t know what he was trying to say and kept quiet.

“He’s fine now, he hasn’t had an attack and is doing his best to find you.”

Hearing that Jesse hadn’t had a seizure, Nydia’s heart was finally put at ease.

“Can I leave when I have the baby and give it to you?” She asked tentatively.

“Do you want to leave?” Fernand’s question was undoubtedly nonsense.

Nydia almost answered subconsciously, but she knew Fernand wouldn’t ask such a question for no reason; he must have his own plans.

“If you’re asking me if I want to, I definitely do, it also depends on whether you’re willing to let me go.”

“You can stay and continue to take care of the boys, provided you never contact Jesse again and you’re never involved again in your lives.”

“The flip side of your question is that if I leave, I’ll never see those two kids again in my life, right?”

Fernand nodded.

Such a choice was wrong either way.

Three people, Jesse and Molly and Tavish, on one side, and two newborn children on the other.

She didn’t say anything, a sad look spreading across her face.

“Well, go back.” He didn’t seem to want to see Nydia looking like that.

Back in the hospital room, Fernand suddenly said, “Take my pulse.”

Hesitating for a moment Nydia agrees.

After taking his pulse, Nydia still sees something is wrong, although Fernand looks a lot healthier now, at least in the eyes of ordinary people there is no problem, but when Nydia takes his pulse she feels that there is still a risk to his body.

The slightest mistake could cause major problems with his heart.

And heart problems could cause other problems as well.

“It doesn’t look that good, does it?”

“You have a doctor checking on you every day, you should be aware of your condition.”

“I trust you more!” The tone of his voice when he said this was so certain that it surprised her, and she wondered, “Trust me?”

Are you okay?

This big pie painting is getting less and less reliable.

“Can you heal me?”

Nydia shook her head, “It’s beyond my knowledge.”

This body of Fernand’s was too complicated to mess with, not a simple medical problem, she felt it all had to be added to the metaphysics!

“Are you going to stay in this place forever?” Nydia asked.

“No, I don’t plan to, I’ll move places when you give birth, Jesse will find this place sooner or later.”

“Do you think it will be you sir, or will he find it first?”

“What are you going to do with it if he finds it first?” Nydia asked.

Fernand raised an eyebrow without saying anything.

“You get some rest.”

With that he walked away, not answering the question.

This left Nydia unsure of his intentions.

So now Fernand was making a bet with Jesse? But this bet was taking her with him, and it also depended on her stomach.

No, no, no, how could someone like Fernand, or Alex to be exact, be thinking about her delivery time? It had to be a smokescreen, just to confuse her that’s what he said.

It was a good time for the two, but it was all a big pie that Fernand had painted for her and it didn’t mean anything.

Five days later, Nydia was sleeping when she suddenly heard movement and she was instantly alert.

Listening carefully, the movement came from the bathroom.

She didn’t dare to move, so she could only lie on her bed and listen for movement.

Strangely enough, she didn’t hear footsteps, but she smelled something, she already had a good sense of smell, and after she got pregnant her sense of smell became even more sensitive, there was indeed a smell, and it was the smell of a person mixed with the smell of the toilet.

“Mrs. Pascall, are you there?”

Nydia was instantly ecstatic to hear the voice.

It was Frederick, she recognized the voice, it was Frederick’s voice.

“I’m here!”

She quickly turned the light on, but not the main light, but the bedside lamp so it wouldn’t be too bright.

“I can finally find you.” Frederick breathed a sigh of relief, the last five days had been torture for him.

“How did you get in here?”

“Mrs. Pascall, none of that matters, we need to pair up the information quickly.”

Nydia knew that time was short now, but she couldn’t help but ask, “Is Jesse okay?”

“He’s fine for now, he’s holding up, but he wouldn’t be able to hold up if something happened to you, I ventured in here this time to find out how you were doing in this general situation and report back to him for his peace of mind.”

“I’m fine now, nothing’s going on, Alex has switched hearts with Fernand, but, he’s in a complicated situation, like a combination of Fernand and Alex.”

“And he also wants me to give him both of my children when I have children left, as to whether or not he’ll let me back in is not certain.”

Nydia said quickly.

However, at that moment footsteps sounded outside and both Frederick and Nydia were startled.
