Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 839 Nydia Isolated

Nydia looked at the middle-aged man in front of her, he wore a pair of eyes and looked gentle, but she didn’t dare to take it lightly.

“Who are you?” She asked warily.

“I’m your doctor.” He smiled, “Introduce yourself, my name is Gregory Lond.”

“You’re with Alex?” Nydia didn’t care who he was, she cared about the people behind him.

“Yes, I’m a doctor under his team.”

There had been that little bit of hope in her heart, now it was shattered, she was in a rather passive position now.

“You don’t have to be so nervous, otherwise it won’t be good for the baby in your belly, it’s easy for the umbilical cord to wrap around the neck.” Gregory suggested gently.

“Can I meet Alex?”

“Sorry, not for now.”

Nydia speculated on the “not at the moment” answer.

Did it mean that Alex wasn’t available at the moment? Why is it inconvenient? Was he already having his heart replaced?

Gregory laughed softly as he noticed the change in her face, “You might as well not think about it so much right now.”

“Why did you grab me?”

“I’m not sure, I’m just a doctor.”

Nydia took several deep breaths to calm herself.

After a few moments she asked, “Are you going to hurt me?”

“I don’t have that order for now.”

So, it was safe for now.

“I’m going to check you out first to see how you’re doing and the baby you’re carrying.”

She was led to the examining room by Gregory.

“Both babies are healthy and you’re not in bad shape, but twins are a heavy load for you.”

“Normally, you’re forty-five days away from giving birth.”

Nydia didn’t say anything, her mind drumming with thoughts of would Alex let her have the babies safely?

How was she supposed to save herself?

Glancing at her wrist, there was no watch.

There were no windows in her hospital room, she didn’t even know what the weather was outside, and if it wasn’t for the clock on the wall, she wouldn’t even be able to tell night from day.

Even, she didn’t know if the time on this clock was accurate.

“Get some rest, you can call me if you’re not feeling well, just ring this bell.” Gregory pointed to the button at the foot of the bed.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

“Hold on.” She came to Gregory’s face, “Look at your watch.”

Gregory froze and lifted his hand to show her that the time on his watch was the same as on the clock, she was a little relieved that at least she still knew the time and she saw the date on her watch.

This ward had a bathroom and washing facilities, it was actually in pretty good condition, but it was a cage in disguise when all was said and done.

The good thing though was that there were some books to pass the time, at first Nydia couldn’t be bothered to read at all, all she could think about was Jesse, worrying that something would happen to Jesse, and to the two children.

But gradually she quieted down, because she couldn’t help worrying any more over here, it would make the two kids in her belly bad, they were about to be born and she wouldn’t be able to take it if something happened to them.

When she quieted down she didn’t feel that the days felt like years, her daily life consisted of reading books, meditating, and occasionally doing yoga for pregnant women, trying to stretch her body as much as possible, otherwise it wasn’t too good for her to give birth.

“Want to go for a walk?” Gregory came to the hospital room and asked her.

She was surprised, “I can still go out for a walk?”

“You can, after all it’s not very nice to keep you cooped up in here all the time.”

“Thank you so much then.”

Didn’t even know how to express her feelings, she was actually able to walk out, she did wonder what it was like outside.

“Take the wheelchair.”

Seeing the wheelchair, Nydia thought of Jesse again, when he specially designed the wheelchair for her, this wheelchair was kind of comfortable to sit in, but it was completely different from the one Jesse designed for her.

Jesse, I miss you so much!

Be well, I don’t know when I’ll be able to go back, but I can definitely go back to see you.

Gregory pushed her out of the hospital room and out of the hospital room there were long walkways again, she couldn’t tell if it was above or below ground.

When she finally saw the sunlight she finally realized that where she had been before was underground and now that they were coming up, the sunlight that had been missing for so long made her feel happy and warm.

The feeling was beyond words.

She closed her eyes and enjoyed the sunlight.

It was only after a while that she opened her eyes and carefully surveyed her surroundings.

Not recognizing this place, it was supposed to be very remote, surrounded by mountains and forests.

“How long can I bask in the sun?”

“Half an hour.”

“Okay, thanks.”

After basking in the sun for a while, she couldn’t help but ask, “Am I still not allowed to see Alex?”

“I’m not sure.”

“Are you sure about my husband, Jesse?”

“Sorry, I’m not sure either.”

“I’m actually kind of surprised, by Alex’s nature, shouldn’t he be arresting my husband? How could he arrest me? Even if he did arrest me, shouldn’t he use it to threaten my husband? It’s a bit strange that this is good food and drink for me.”

Gregory smiled and didn’t say anything.

Nydia was also aware that she wouldn’t be able to ask anything out of this man, but thought what if?

The man seemed mild-mannered, but had a tight mouth.

“What are you going to do with me when I’m done having babies?” That was something Nydia was concerned about right now.

“Have to wait for an order from above.”

Nydia had the horrible thought that Alex wasn’t thinking of separating her from her two children, was he?

Otherwise she couldn’t really think of a reason to do so.

The question didn’t bother her for long, because she met “Alex”!

She was dumbfounded when she saw this person, staring in dismay at this young man, younger than her age.

And she knew him, his name was Fernand.

Because she had seen Fernand’s photo in the beginning, it was the look of this person in front of her, but there was a little difference compared to the photo.

She couldn’t tell exactly what the difference was, she just thought it was a little strange.

“Nydia,” he called her name, and his voice was the same young voice, only with more composure in it.

“It’s been a while.” He smiled, a smile that would be considered the warmer type if it were the face itself, but combined with something else, she couldn’t feel warmer.

“We, uh, haven’t seen each other.” Nydia said bluntly.

“Nydia, you know who I am.”

“I don’t.”

He smiled again, with a touch of hopelessness, “It’s good to be young.”

“Before, I guess, I couldn’t appreciate the kind of joy that comes with being young, now I can, there’s a fearless obstinacy to being young, and a naivety to it.”

“But it’s okay if you think I’m Fernand, I don’t mind.”

Nydia was genuinely a little disoriented, having Fernand’s face in front of her, but giving the impression that it was Alex again.

She wondered how on earth it was possible, how a change of heart could be a change of person.

If it had been longer, it would have made a little sense to her, but it would have been a feeling of fusion, not this completely overpowered look.

It was too weird.

“I’ll be Fernand from now on.”

He was still in a wheelchair and looked like he shouldn’t be fully recovered.

“What did you capture me for?”
