CORONATION
Layla was in her room as the maids prepared her for her coronation. Keisha was versed in hair making, so she helped style her hair.
She had come here to get ready after tending to Malcolm’s wound.
Layla sat at her dressing table, her eyes closed as the maids fussed over her hair and makeup. She was trying to keep calm and focus on the moment, but it was hard not to let her nerves get the best of her. This was a big day – the day she would be crowned queen of the kingdom. She had trained for this moment her entire life, and now it was finally here.
As the maids finished up, she rose from her chair and turned to look in the mirror. She barely recognized the woman looking back at her. She looked regal and confident.
Layla’s gown was a masterpiece of craftsmanship. It was made of the finest silk, and it fit her like a glove. The corseted bodice accentuated her figure, and the skirt flared out in a dramatic train. The dress was embellished with intricate embroidery, and it shimmered in the light. It was truly a work of art.
But it was more than just a beautiful gown – it was a symbol of Layla’s status and her future. As she looked at herself in the mirror, she saw the queen she was about to become. She took a deep breath and smiled.
According to Keisha, Nolan specially suggested the dress and Layla happened to choose it. It was so beautiful. Her short hair was also styled very finely.
Layla’s short hair was styled in an elegant updo, with a few tendrils framing her face. The style was simple but sophisticated, and it showed off the delicate features of her face. It was a look that was both timeless and modern, and it suited her perfectly.
The maids had worked their magic, and Layla was truly transformed. She looked every inch the queen she was about to become.
She turned away from the mirror and took one last deep breath. She was ready. She was ready to take on this role, and to lead her kingdom into a new era.
Layla smiled at the maids, her nerves beginning to settle.
“Thank you, everyone,” she appreciated all of them, her voice steady and strong.
“You have all done such a wonderful job. I appreciate all of your hard work.”
The maids all smiled, and one of them spoke up.
“It is our honor to serve you, your highness,” she bowed.
“We are so excited for you, and for the future of the pack.
Layla’s smile grew even wider. “Thank you,” she said. “Your support means so much to me.”
“woah, woah, woah!” Keisha gasped as she dropped the comb she was holding.
“Nolan would never be able to take his eyes off you..” she grinned.
Layla laughed, but there was a hint of nervousness in her laughter.
“You think so?” she asked, her voice light and teasing. “I hope you’re right.”
“I know so,” Keisha said, her tone full of confidence.
“You look absolutely stunning. He won’t be able to resist you.”
“Thanks,” Layla smiled, her cheeks turning pink.
“I’m fine, really,” Layla assured, placing a hand on her stomach.
“And please, stop calling her a girl.! We don’t know the sex yet” Layla pouted.
“I know, I know,” Keisha laughed, rolling her eyes.
“But it’s so much fun to tease you about it! You’re going to be such a wonderful mother, Layla. I just know it.”
“Thank you,” Layla said, a smile on her face. “That means a lot to me.”
Just as they were conversing the door sprang open and Nolan walked in.
“Nolan..” Layla muttered as he walked in, the maids bowing.
“I’ll leave you both” Keisha motioned for the maids to leave and they all left the room.
Nolan looked around the room, taking in the scene before him. His eyes landed on Layla, and he smiled.
“Are you all right?” he asked, his voice soft as he held her hands.
“I’m fine,” Layla said, trying to sound reassuring.
He looked so breathtaking in his Royal attire.
“And the baby?” He asked as he slowly placed his hands on her stomach.
Layla took a deep breath, and she placed her hand on top of his.
“He or she is fine, too,” she smiled, her voice full of love and wonder.
“I’ve been feeling the baby move today, I think he or she knows something’s going on.”
“You’ve been so amazing through all of this, Layla. I couldn’t be more proud of you.”
Layla felt her heart swell at his words.
“It’s going to be fine. There’s no need to be nervous, you’ll do just fine..” he said assuringly to her.
Layla felt a wave of relief wash over her at his words. “Thank you,” she appreciated, her voice full of gratitude.
“I’m trying to stay calm, but it’s not easy. I just want everything to be perfect.” She signed. The fact she was human bothered her. What if she was not accepted by the people?
Nolan took her hand in his, and he looked into her eyes
. “You don’t have to be perfect,” he pointed out, his voice full of sincerity.
“You’re already perfect, just the way you are. All that matters is that you and the baby are healthy and happy.”
“Come here.” He hugged her and his sweat smell wafted through her nose. She really found solace in his embrace.
She was sure she was going to be fine as long Nolan was with her. All she needed was him by her side.
“Did you meet Carla?” Layla suddenly asked. She has been curious about that as she was sure Carla would definitely go to Nolan.
“She came to me. But don’t tell me anything about that. I’m sure she got what she deserved. You don’t act rashly ” he stated as he admired her beauty. He hadn’t even told her how pretty she looked.
She looked like a goddess under the moonlight.
“Thanks for trusting In me Nolan..”
“You look so beautiful tonight..” he fawned holding up her hand and he kissed her knuckles.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
“Thank you” Layla blushed.
“Are you set?” He asked entwining his gloved hands with hers.
“Yes sure,” Layla replied, taking in a deep breath.
“Come on my Luna and I have a gift waiting for you..” he uttered as he led her out of the room.
“What’s that?” Layla grilled feeling excited about the gift.
“It’s a surprise”
